Southern California Edison has signed yet another deal to buy power from solar projects, this time with San Francisco-based developer Recurrent Energy.
The utility will buy all the power produced by three Recurrent systems built in Southern California. Two of the photovoltaic ground-mounted systems will be located in Kern County and will have a combined peak output of 28 megawatts. The third project will be in San Bernardino County, producing 22 megawatts.
Construction is expected to begin in 2012 on private land leased by Recurrent, with the installations completed by 2013, Recurrent said.
