Catching Malibu's dirty runoff
Surfers and Malibu City Council members broke ground today on the city’s Legacy Park, which will keep polluted urban runoff and stormwater out of the ocean. See the post on L.A. Now.

Too bad about Malibu's dirty stormwater run-off. I patented and developed a machine that cleans streets of that type of pollution, but Florida officials kept it covered up to protect their buddies profits. Lockheed Martin told Florida officials it would save Florida 700 to 800 million dollars. Yes it was tested by EPA and the FDEP and passed with flying colors. The test showed appreciable amounts of mercury, nutrients and phosphorus also.

This is an example of mental masturbation that makes environmentalist feel good and is a waste of time and money.
When we have an "EL NINO" or other heavy rain storms, the ground in nature simply reaches a saturation level. At that point all rain water simply runs off into the ocean bringing run off soil with it!
This area can't possible accomplish what it proposes to accomplish. We in Malibu have survived for a hundred years or more without this trapping of POLLUTED? water.
A friend of mine who was President of Heal the Bay explained to me that all run off is deluted into the ocean and has no real effect.
Did some body forget this??
