Did the gray wolf migrate to New Mexico?

A gray wolf apparently was spotted and filmed recently on media mogul Ted Turner's ranch in New Mexico, the Associated Press reports. If the lone canid is indeed a member of canis lupus, it could mean it has wandered down from the Yellowstone area of the northern Rocky Mountains, where the species was reintroduced in the 1990s.
