Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel cozy up at GQ Men of the Year

Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake was honored Thursday as one of 2011's  GQ Men of the Year, and brought a significant lady friend to be at his side -- former girlfriend Jessica Biel.

So are they back in full swing as a couple? It would seem so, as the pair were attached at the hip navigating the packed lobby and patio of the Chateau Marmont, eventually departing after midnight, hand in hand.

Back inside the party, another honoree commanded full attention of the crowd: dad-to-be Jay-Z. All  kinds of boldface names flocked for their five minutes with the mogul, including Jimmy Fallon, Lake Bell and Aziz Ansari.

Cutting a Sinatra-style figure in a black suit, and looking very lean, Jay-Z held court in a corner table while fellow man of the year Michael Fassbender charmed a group of ladies across the garden.

Joe Manganiello stuck out, literally, his towering frame grabbing attention alongside cast members from "Mad Men." The whole gang of Fox's "New Girl" turned up, including a whimsical Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson.

Anna Faris and husband Chris Pratt mostly hung out together, as did Armie Hammer and his bride, Elizabeth Chambers. Sadly for the Ministry, Jay-Z -- who would make it to Heavy D's funeral in New York the next day -- wasn't joined by his fabulous ball-and-chain, the pregnant Beyonce.

But as the focus of the party was dudes, plenty of them made strong and stylish showings over Grey Goose cocktails, including "Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson, Topher Grace, Anton Yelchin, Johnny Galecki, Kellan Lutz, John Cho, Adam Scott, Michael B. Jordan, Sam Paige and Eli Roth.

Zachary Quinto identifies himself 'as a gay man'

Zachary Quinto says he's gay

This post has been updated, as detailed below.

Zachary Quinto hasn't typically been one to get too personal — unless you count a new interview in which he just-in-passing refers to himself as a gay man, directly, publicly, for the first time.

The "Heroes" and "Star Trek" star casually dropped the detail while promoting his upcoming film "Margin Call," a thriller that revolves around a handful of investment bankers, one of them played by Quinto, during the first 24 hours of the U.S. financial meltdown.

Along the way, assessing his recent eight-month turn in "Angels in America" in an interview with New York magazine, Quinto said that the Broadway role had made him realize how lucky he was to have been born in 1977 — too late to have witnessed the AIDS crisis' "decimation of an entire generation of amazingly talented and otherwise vital men" in the mid-'80s, when that play takes place.

"And at the same time, as a gay man, it made me feel like there's still so much work to be done, and there's still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed," said the new incarnation of Mr. Spock.

[Updated, 6:15 p.m. Oct. 16: In addition to the New York magazine interview that was publicized Saturday, Quinto on Sunday posted a message on his personal blog, saying that the suicide of bullied gay teen Jamey Rodemeyer spurred him to go public about his sexuality. "In light of jamey's death — it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it — is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality," he wrote. Jamey Rodemeyer is the teen Lady Gaga referenced while addressing President Obama at a fund-raiser last month in Northern California.]

So — that's that.

Keep in mind, this comes less than a year after Quinto shut down a conversation with that very same magazine after deeming certain of its reporter's questions too personal. Probing questions along the lines of, oh, "What's your favorite ice cream flavor?" Yes, really.

"Margin Call" — which has a cast including Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Mary McDonnell, Demi Moore and Stanley Tucci, to name a few — opens Oct. 21, and counts Quinto among its producers.

Lindsay Lohan vamps it up for Tyler Shields' latest L.A. art show

Lindsay Lohan stars as a vampire in photos by Tyler Shields

Lindsay Lohan got her "Breaking Dawn" on this weekend in Los Angeles, showing up at an East L.A. art opening for celeb-friendly artist Tyler Shields -- who featured the actress in several portraits as a vampire.

Donning blood red lips and major fangs, Lohan stars in series of pics with "The Vampire Diaries" actor Michael Trevino, sucking some neck and getting a little gruesome with a stake.

Zachary Quinto at Tyler Shields' art party Shields is fond of the off-the-radar warehouse district below the glittering lights of Hollywood, where his many famous friends trek in high heels and haute loafers without much complaint. The exhibit, "Life Is Not a Fairytale," combined portraits and performance art.

Lohan attended with her younger sister Ali, pulling up around 10 p.m. and spending most of her time in a staff changing room away from the crowd and installations.

Emma Roberts turned up without rumored new beau Chord Overstreet, but stayed plenty entertained chatting with his "Glee" costars Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale.

Zachary Quinto (one of our favesies) looked dapper in a summer suit circulating among Monster Energy-sipping young things, including Colton Haynes, Shiloh Fernandez, Gregory Michael, Zelda Williams and famous Kanye West ex Amber Rose.

Zachary Quinto still totally over interviews [video]

Hey, nervous interviewer/theater intern, Zachary Quinto isn't asleep -- you're just boring him.

Or so it seems from an interview the actor deigned to participate in, supporting his work in the Signature Theatre Company's New York production of "Angels in America."

Zac-quinto-rude-interviewOur friends at Just Jared posted new behind-the-scenes shots of Quinto in the Tony Kushner epic, along with a recently uploaded video of the actor from the show's opening night in October. Zach-attack answers questions from Facebook and Twitter, with some uninterest and condescension sprinkled on top.

First, he's asked how long it took to memorize an intense monologue, to which Quinto responds, "I don't know, a while. A minute? A minute. One minute. Sixty seconds."

Cute! Then he's asked if his role as Louis Ironson was on his radar prior to landing it.

"Well certainly the play was on my radar. When I found out they were doing it, it's the character in the play that I would play. So ... it was on my radar then," he said.

What a relief that Quinto was not only aware the play existed (sigh of relief, Kushner) but he basically cast himself. Clearly it's what he would play. In the play.

Then there's the delicious non-verbals (which you can feast on in the clip above), including exaggerated eyebrows, eye rolls, a glance around the room to see if anyone else knows how much he's suffering and -- brace yourself -- he actually rests his chin on a bent index finger. Or, as the Ministry calls it, "The Ponderer."

Don't get us wrong, Quinto does come to life when he gets to talk about the difference between the stage work and film and television. The difference for him, that is. We appreciate his process, but would never dream of getting too personal

Star-spotting: 25 offbeat places to impress the guests

Hollywood Walk of Fame

The turkey was delicious, the mashed potatoes rich and creamy, and that pumpkin pie -- well, nobody threw it at Grandma, even after she decided to tell everyone they needed a haircut.

So it's Friday, and you're facing the brutal truth: The relatives aren't going home any time soon. They're up and raring to go, they've already done Disneyland and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the "Law & Order" marathon can go on only so long before someone takes the law into his or her own hands. Now what?

Celebrity Gallery [Updated on Feb. 25, 2010: Sorry for the inconvenience -- because of a technical problem with our photo gallery, the link below and the photo gallery link to the right no longer work. The star-spotting list is no longer available.]

Fear not, the Ministry is here to help.

We have a list (in the form of a photo gallery) of a few off-the-beaten-track sites celebrities have been known to frequent.

We can't guarantee you'll see George Clooney or Megan Fox during your trek, but we can offer some roll-of-the-dice spots where we've caught glimpses of the stars.

Check it out -- and leave us a comment sharing your favorite spot to see celebrities.
