Mark Wahlberg gets his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Mark Wahlberg got his star, No. 2,414, on Hollywood's Walk of Fame on Thursday, taking time along the way to thank his wife and kids and Penny Marshall and God.
Will Ferrell, Wahlberg's "The Other Guys" costar, kept the introduction brief but took time to explain, "I first became a fan of Mark's when I bought his workout video. And I love all your 'Bourne' movies."
Indeed. Especially the one where Jason Bourne goes undercover as an adult film star in the Valley?
But more seriously, Ferrell said, "Not only is he one of the hardest-working guys, he's a great family man, and just a great dude."
"I really felt like this was all a big practical joke," quipped Wahlberg, who toward the end of his acceptance speech brought his toddler son, Brendan, up to the mike with him (see it at the Hollywood Reporter).
