Chris Noth marries Tara Wilson in Maui

Chris Noth and Tara Wilson get married

Chris Noth of "The Good Wife" has finally married fiancee Tara Wilson. Leave it to Mr. Big to prolong the wait leading up to the nuptials.

Noth, 57, of "Sex and the City" fame, got hitched to Wilson, 30, on the Hawaiian island of Maui on April 6, People reports. The couple has been affianced since 2009.

Their 4-year-old son, Orion Christopher, served as ring bearer in the private ceremony, according to ABC News.

Noth and Wilson met in 2002 at Noth's New York bar, Cutting Room, where she was working.

Now, where is John Corbett to drop his cringe-inducing "SATC" line that they "got Maui-ed"?

Ricki Lake and Christian Evans are married

Ricki Lake in her wedding dressRicki Lake married beau Christian Evans over the weekend -- and the bride on Tuesday shared a photo of herself in her wedding dress.

"Yup. This is me.... Sadie Sadie married lady. :) :) Love is in the air. Xo," she wrote to her followers on Twitter.

The secret ceremony occurred in Southern California on Sunday, 43-year-old Lake told People, describing the day as "a beautiful moment I will never forget."

She and Evans, 40, got engaged last summer, with the bride-to-be announcing her engagement Aug. 11 on Twitter with a photo of the couple. They dated for about a year before he popped the question.

Lake has described Evans as a "normal guy" she met through her best friend. "He's a nobody but he's somebody to me. He's everything to me," she told People.

It's a second marriage for the TV host and "Dancing With the Stars" alum, who has two sons, ages 15 and 10, with artist Rob Sussman. Lake and Sussman divorced in 2005.

"The Ricki Lake Show," Lake's upcoming daily syndicated talk show, debuts Sept. 10.

Jerry Lee Lewis marries again at 76, keeps it close to home

Jerry Lee Lewis

Jerry Lee Lewis has married for a seventh time, and we encourage you to get a pencil and paper and keep notes before reading the rest of this post.

The 76-year-old rock-'n'-roller on March 9 married Judith Brown, his caregiver, in Natchez, Miss., CNN reports -- and that's where the easy part ends.

You see, Judith Brown is the ex-wife of Rusty Brown, Lewis' second cousin. And Rusty Brown would be the brother of Myra Gale Brown, the minor-cousin-once-removed whom Lewis married in 1957.

The 14-year age difference between Lewis and Brown is actually more than the 10-year gap that existed between Lewis and Myra Gale Brown, but then again, Brown was only 13 when they wed, while Lewis was a piano-pummeling 23 getting hitched for the third time.

Publicity from that whole marrying-a-minor-who's-also-a-relative incident -- oops -- dealt a crippling blow to the career of the "Great Balls of Fire" singer. Those two divorced after 13 years.

Lewis and his sixth wife, who were married for 20 years, divorced in 2004.

Should Kim Kardashian return her wedding gifts? Expert weighs in

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is offering up some answers to guests about her August wedding to Kris Humphries -- specifically regarding the fate of the luxurious gifts folks gave the couple.

In a printed note, Kardashian informed her friends, family and the odd magazine editor that "it has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation."

The Dream Foundation works toward wish fulfillment for adults battling terminal illness. Kim valued the gifts at around $100,000, according to TMZ, and allegedly cut the foundation a check for twice that amount. Humphries commends her for the gesture, the website said, but thinks the lot of loot should be returned to the givers.

To review: Kim donates twice the value of her wedding gifts to charity and still gets to enjoy that gravy boat. Kris wants the goods back in the hands of guests. Clearly this a question for Emily Post.

"It's a sticky, messy thing," said Anna Post, great-great-granddaughter of etiquette queen Emily. "I think people want to make it tidy and put it in a box, but that's not possible."

So what's a reality star to do?

"While I fully appreciate the sentiment of giving to charity, it's a good idea to return the gift. It's more about a personal exchange, returning that gift and coming full circle with your guests. That note ... doesn't gratify what could be an uncomfortable situation," Post said.

And the mass-produced note is a no-no too.

"Notes should be handwritten, not a blast note with an auto signature at the bottom. They should be written to guests when you return the gift. These are people who care deeply about you, and took time and money to celebrate you."

So Humphries wins the war of manners, but it's not all bad news for Kim.

"It's not a punishment, it's not as though someone's saying, 'Your marriage didn't work so now you have to do all this work.' For Kim, it's about the respect of each and everyone on of those individual, personal relationships," said Post.

Singer Bryan Ferry, 66, marries Amanda Sheppard, 29

Amanda Sheppard and Bryan Ferry are married.

Pop singer Bryan Ferry, 66, and former publicist Amanda Sheppard, 29, were married earlier this month in an island ceremony at the Amanyara resort on the Turks and Caicos.

The "Slave to Love" singer and Roxy Music frontman tied the knot with Sheppard on Jan. 4, Pop & Hiss reportedearlier this week. The bride wore Lanvin, and the groom wore Anderson & Sheppard, according to the wedding announcement on Ferry's website, which has a lovely shot of the couple on their wedding day.

We circle back because of this delicious, gossipy twist: Sheppard, who is 37 years Ferry's junior, was briefly involved with the singer's son Isaac Ferry, now 26, before hooking up with Dad. Bryan and Amanda have been dating since 2008, the Daily Telegraph said at the time, and have lived together since she quit her job and moved in with him in 2009, according to the Daily Mail.

"The interesting thing is -- and I don’t want to say the wrong thing in case I get into trouble with my girlfriend -- you never really meet people your own age who aren't married," the elder Ferry told the Mail on Sunday.

Hey, at least he stuck with the available ladies, and thankfully Sheppard is no teen bride. Appropriate, we say, given that Queen Elizabeth II in November awarded the singer with a CBE, or the rank of commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Not quite a knight, but it comes with honor and a cool medal (shown above).

"I was very pleased to be recognised for a long career and doing something I love," Ferry said.

It's a second trip down the aisle for Bryan Ferry, whose 21-year marriage to Lucy Henmore ended in 2003. They have four sons together. We also note, simply because it's cool, that Ferry had dated Jerry Hall for a couple of years before she left him for Mick Jagger.

Rock 'n' roll, people. Rock 'n' roll.

Celebrity weddings 2011: Couples, controversy and wedded bliss

Shania Twain and her new husband Frédéric Thiébaud, among Celebrity Weddings 2011

Boy meets girl. Another boy meets another girl. They eventually switch partners. And that was just one of the topsy-turvy stories from the year in celebrity weddings, which kicked off with Shania Twain and Frederic Thiebaud's New Year's Day celebration of love.

It was, of course, a love that blossomed after their spouses cheated on them with each other.

But the happiness didn't stop there.

Kelsey Grammer found love again, and he only had to be single for two weeks. That was the amount of time between the finalization of his divorce from Camille Grammer and his walk down the aisle with young bride Kayte Walsh.

PHOTOS: Celebrity weddings 2011

Other lovestruck celebrity couples were married in a castle (Kate Moss and Jamie Hince) and in secret (Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz), on a ranch (Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth), on a private island (Vanessa Manillo and Nick Lachey) and on a yacht (Brooke Burke and David Charvet).

Controversy may have danced around the edges here and there, but faces were wreathed in smiles, even if those smiles were short-lived (Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries).

But let's toast the celebrity weddings of 2011. Our wish for happy couples: That we don't see your faces next year in the celebrity breakups of 2012.

Sinead O'Connor to marry husband No. 4 in Las Vegas on Thursday

Sinead O'Connor

Sinead O'Connor's very public search for love is over. On Thursday, the Irish singer's 45th birthday, she will marry her fourth husband in Las Vegas.

The groom is O'Connor's "beloved boyfriend" Barry Herridge, a youth substance abuse counselor and psychotherapist in Dublin.

Though O'Connor wrote on her website that she was getting married in an "undisclosed location," she revealed to RTE radio that it was Las Vegas, according to Irish newspaper the Independent.

The singer wrote a post on her blog in August that described herself as "sex-starved" and opened herself up to applicants who wanted to be her boyfriend, although she included a list of very explicit requirements. (The kind that would make both Catholics and Protestants blush.)

The post entered O'Connor into a controversy that resulted in a feud with Ireland's popular "Late Late Show," when host Ryan Tubridy asked her to appear but she refused claiming they just wanted her on as "some crazy performing monkey."

She split from husband No. 3, Steve Cooney ,in March after they were together for less than a year. She has four children from her previous relationships.

On her blog, she said the wedding would be her "absolute dream wedding ceremony." Pictures were promised.

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland marries boyfriend Justin Miller

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland is married

Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles has tied the knot with her entrepreneur boyfriend, Justin Miller.

The country star and her new husband were married Saturday near the Smoky Mountains in Tennesee, People reported.

Nettles, 37, wore Alexander McQueen (a la Kate Middleton, now Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) at an intimate chapel ceremony that included bandmate Kristian Bush. But the newlyweds will likely have to put their honeymoon plans on hold, as Sugarland will be performing at the Grammy Nomination Concert Live on Wednesday and and then hosting the CMA Country Christmas Special on Thursday.

Miller, a former model who appeared in the video for the band's 2006 single "Want To" (watch it below) and attended the CMA Awards with Nettles earlier this month, have been dating for about two years. Nettles' divorce from first husband Todd Van Sickle, a club owner, was final in March 2007.

But concerts, wedded bliss and thank-you cards aren't the only items on this newlywed's to-do list. Sugarland is facing a newly filed lawsuit over an Indiana State Fair stage collapse last August that left seven dead and more than 40 others injured.

The lawsuit, filed Nov. 23 on behalf of 44 survivors and the families of four of the people killed, alleges that Sugarland "had supervisory authority and discretion" over the stage size and lighting system, among other concert-related aspects. The lawsuit said the duo "failed or refused to cancel the Sugarland concert despite inclement weather."

Robin Williams marries Susan Schneider in Napa Valley

Robin WIlliams married Susan Schneider in Napa this weekend

Robin Williams is once again a married man -- the comedian tied the knot with Susan Schneider on Saturday in California.

At Napa Valley's Meadowood Resort, the 60-year-old "Patch Adams" star met graphic designer Schneider at the altar before friends and family, People confirms.

The couple reportedly got serious in 2009 as Williams recovered from heart surgery. Schneider is the actor's third bride. He has three children from previous marriages: Zachary, actress Zelda and Cody.

Set against the fall foliage of the vineyard, the new Mr. and Mrs. Williams danced the night away , according to Zelda.

"The wedding festivities rage on but my tired feet are done. Think it's time to lay in the tub, eat M&M's and write," she tweeted.

Bijou Phillips, Danny Masterson marry in Ireland, not Iceland

Bijou Phillips and Danny Masterson are married

This post has been corrected, as detailed below.

Actors Bijou Phillips and Danny Masterson have finally tied the knot, after an eight-year courtship.

In the lush Irish countryside, the couple wed before friends and family in a castle with the landscape of Tipperary behind them, says People.

Masterson and Phillips got engaged in 2009, but as we told you last year, the couple hit a roadblock: Volcano Eyjafjallajokull. You heard us: That massive volcanic ash cloud that grounded flights and kept journalists tongue-tied also put the kibosh on the couple's planned nuptials in Iceland.

"I was going to get married in Iceland, but then it blew up. That volcano! We have to kind of postpone everything ... " Phillips told us at the time."It's hard for two actors to set a date, because a movie will come up or something, but it's harder not to date another actor. He totally gets it; he's like, 'I'll see you in a few months.' "

Eighteen months later and they're finally man and wife.

Masterson, of "That '70s Show" fame, had brother Chris as his best man. The bride wore a custom Zac Posen gown while her beloved went for a suit designed by Albert Hammond Jr. of the Strokes, part of a capsule collection for Masterson's Los Feliz boutique Confederacy.

Additional guests included actors Chris Mena and Ben Foster.

[For the record, 6 p.m. Oct. 20: This post originally gave designer Albert Hammond Jr.'s first name incorrectly as Alfred. Thanks to those who flagged it in comments.]
