Nikki Reed, Paul McDonald are married after whirlwind romance

Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed are married

Nikki Reed of "Twilight" fame and Paul McDonald of "American Idol" floral-embroidered-suit fame were married Sunday in Malibu, capping a March-October romance that has nothing to do with their relative ages and everything to do with the whirlwind nature of their relationship.

McDonald, 27, and Reed, 23, got engaged over the summer after meeting in March at the premiere of "Little Red Riding Hood," when he was a contestant on the most recent season of "American Idol." They'd moved in together in May.

"Yesterday was the most amazing day of my life," McDonald said Monday on Twitter. "[E]verything was perfect. I'm officially a MARRIED MAN! Woohoo!"

The bride and groom "couldn't be happier" after getting hitched on a private ranch, surrounded by about friends and family, they told Us Weekly on Sunday. Reed's gown was designed by Tacari, Us reported, a bridal jewelry brand (yes, you read that correctly) that also designed the couple's wedding bands and her engagement ring.

And though McDonald maybe was amazed, Reed related a slightly different vibe: "Yesterday was the most magical day of my life," she tweeted Monday.

Congrats, kids. Keep smiling -- and come November, maybe we'll see you both on the "Breaking Dawn -- Part I" red carpet.

Paul McCartney, Nancy Shevell are married -- let it be!

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell are married

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell were married Sunday in a low-key ceremony that had far more in common with the Cute Beatle's first wedding than his lavish second.

McCartney, 69, and Shevell, 51, tied the knot at London's Old Marylebone Town Hall, officially known as the Westminster Register Office.

"I feel married," the groom told reporters on his way out of the building Sunday after the civil ceremony. "I feel absolutely wonderful.”

The register's office is the spot where McCartney and Linda Eastman wed in 1969, beginning a union that lasted through three children and a knighthood, until her death in 1998. Another connection to the past: Sunday would have been fellow Beatle John Lennon's 71st birthday.

Ringo Starr and his wife, Barbara Bach, were at the ceremony, as were George Harrison's widow, Olivia, and -- of all people! -- Barbara Walters, the Shevell cousin who had a hand in bringing the bride and groom together in the Hamptons in 2007. Brother Mike McCartney was the best man.

"Going away for a big weekend," Walters had teased Friday on Twitter. "Will tell you more when I get back." She kept to her word, commenting Monday on the "wonderful family wedding of Nancy and @PaulMcCartney. Loved being there." That was it for details from Barbara -- until she spills more on "The View" on Tuesday.

The bride wore a dress by McCartney -- Stella McCartney, that is, the groom's designer daughter. And McCartney wore McCartney as well. Another daughter, 7-year-old Beatrice (she turns 8 this month!) was the flower girl. About 120 guests, including '60s it girl Twiggy and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, gathered at Paul's St. John's Wood home for the reception, where, according to the New York Post, he performed an original tune he'd spun up for his bride, along with one of her favorite songs: a little ditty called "Let It Be."

Mark Ronson deejayed the party, where grownups dined on vegetarian fare, including savory tarts, polenta, gyozas and more, Us Weekly said. The younger set had their own entertainment, including spinning plates, french fries and an early out courtesy of a small bus that left around 8:30 p.m.

For those keeping track, McCartney's simple first marriage had much better results than the extravagant 2002 affair in an Irish castle that saw him wed Heather Mills. At the time, friends and family had worried that Sir Paul was rushing into things in the wake of Linda's death. Only a few years later, it cost McCartney in the neighborhood of $50 million to settle his divorce.

But it seems to be a different story with Shevell: "The rest of the family love her and are thrilled she's made their dad so happy," a source told Britain's the Sun ahead of the ceremony.

New Yorker Shevell has a job of her own, holding down a vice president gig at a New Jersey-based transportation company run by her father. That company is valued in the nine-figure range, and Shevell has also been on the board of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

McCartney and Shevell announced their engagement in May. This will be her second marriage; he has a son, two daughters and a stepdaughter from his first marriage, and one daughter with Mills.

The newlyweds plan to hold a second ceremony and reception in the Hamptons this week, but not before the groom on Monday announced 11 additional dates for his "On the Run" world tour, which will wrap up Dec. 20 in Liverpool.

Seth Rogen marries Lauren Miller in wine country wedding

Seth Rogen wedding to Lauren Miller

Seth Rogen's wedding to writer Lauren Miller took place Sunday in Sonoma, with the couple getting married in a hilltop ceremony capping three days in the Northern California wine country, according to widespread reports.

Rogen, 29, and Miller, 30, who've been together since 2004, were married by a female rabbi in a Jewish ceremony on a hilltop surrounded by vineyards at Kunde Estate, People said. The reception was held elsewhere on the property, with pictures showing the newlyweds seated in a white convertible for their ride to the party.

"The wedding was more laughs than anything else," a source told Us Weekly. "Every other line was a joke and the crowd couldn't contain their laughter."

That's hardly a surprise, with folks including Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill, Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd and Craig Robinson in attendance.

The wedding was held the same weekend that "50/50," Rogen's cancer comedy with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, premiered to decent though not overwhelming box-office success. With seven years together already under their belts, the bride and groom would seem to face much better odds.

Gene Simmons' wedding to Shannon Tweed is a done deal!

Gene Simmons' wedding to Shannon Tweed is a done deal

Gene Simmons' wedding to Shannon Tweed finally happened Saturday, with the two tying the knot after 28 years together. The KISS frontman and the former Playboy model got married in a luxe wedding ceremony in Beverly Hills, surrounded by hundreds of friends and a camera crew.

The evening nuptials took place on the Beverly Hills Hotel's crystal lawn, where Tweed walked down the aisle wearing an ivory Priscilla of Boston gown with a bouquet of ivory garden roses, People reports.
Simmons, 62, and Tweed, 54, wrote their own vows, and many of the 400 guests cheered when Simmons finally said, "I do."

The star studded guest list included the couple's children Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, plus Hugh Hefner, Bill Maher and of course fellow KISS member Paul Stanley, who was a member of the wedding party. Maid of honor Sophie reportedly serenaded the couple with "At Last" for their first dance, US Magazine said. How fitting.

Simmons shocked fans in July when he proposed to Tweed on A&E's "Gene Simmons Family Jewels." Before going down on one knee and popping the question, the singer and bass player -- who'd vowed he would never marry -- told Tweed, "I come with so much baggage, you're the only friend I've got. You are the only one I've ever loved."

Soon the whole family was in on the planning. Nick designed the wedding invitations, while Sophie wrote the message, "After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot. Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father's life ... well, it doesn't change that much."

Fans are invited to be a part of the celebration too, when it airs Oct. 18 on the new season of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."

Jack Osbourne engaged to Lisa Stelly after dating for four months

Jack Osbourne with sister Kelly and mom Sharon

Jack Osbourne is engaged -- which means his fiancée, Lisa Stelly, has Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, not to mention sister Kelly, to look forward to as in-laws.

"The most amazing man I've ever met asked me to marry him....and he wasn't joking! Crazy, right?," Stelly said Thursday on Twitter.

The Prince of Darkness' 25-year-old son has been dating model and aspiring actress Stelly for about four months -- and if the bride-to-be wants an idea of what kind of royal family she's getting into, she need only watch reruns of "The Osbournes," where Jack grew up in the public eye. One handy thing: He's already gotten rehab out of the way.

Kelly Osbourne congratulated Jack via Twitter on Friday, saying, "@MrJackO well i guess you're not my little brother anymore i'm so unbeliveably proud of the man you have become! im so happy for you & lisa!" Us Weekly confirmed the engagement Thursday.

Though Lisa is a model, as was Kelly's ex-fiancé, Luke Worrall, with luck the engaged thing will work out better for Jack than it did for Kelly. Though she may have dodged a bullet there, no?

Crystal Harris to auction off engagement ring from Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner with the bullet he dodged, aka Crystal Harris

Crystal Harris, Hugh Hefner's 25-year-old runaway bride, is putting her 3.39-carat engagement ring up for auction next month.

That would be the engagement ring that Harris tried to give back to Hefner in June after she practically left him at the altar -- a trinket he would not accept, though the 85-year-old was cool with her returning their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charlie.

Also the same ring Harris took into a La Jolla pawn shop for an appraisal about a week after their wedding was to have taken place, TMZ said.

And, yes, the exact ring that was touted as a $90,000 sparkler when Hef slipped it on Harris' finger last December, now being advertised as "A Diamond Ring" that Christie's expects to unload in October for $20,000 to $30,000.

As anyone who's tried to get their money out of an orphaned engagement diamond knows, that brutal discount sounds juuuuuuuuust about right.

So, yeah, kids: If the piece-of-history, 33.19-carat Elizabeth Taylor diamond is a bit out of reach in the $2.5 million to $3.5 million range, or that auction's December date is simply too long of a wait, Crystal's runaway rock may have your name on it.

It's sort of a piece of history too, right?

Paul McCartney, Nancy Shevell post notice of intent to marry

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell

This post has been corrected, as detailed below.

Paul McCartney and fiancee Nancy Shevell have posted notice of their intent to marry, at the same central London spot where the Beatle married his first wife in 1969.

McCartney, 69, and American Shevell, 51, posted wedding banns Wednesday at the Westminster Register Office, a.k.a. Old Marylebone Town Hall. They must wait 16 days after posting the marriage banns, then they have a year from that "go" date to get the civil ceremony done.

It's a second marriage for Shevell, an executive at a transportation company based in New Jersey who's also been on the board of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority. McCartney in 1969 married Linda Eastman, who died of breast cancer in 1998. He and Heather Mills wed in 2002, then split in 2008 with an acrimonious divorce that included a court-ordered settlement of nearly $50 million.

On the banns posted Wednesday, McCartney gave his profession as "business executive," with his multi-millionaire future wife listed simply as an "executive."

The register office is described by Britain's Independent newspaper as "the venue of choice for countless loved-up celebrities from the Beatles onwards," with an impressive marble entry and four "marriage rooms."

Too bad they didn't wait until January or February -- could've gotten a 20% discount on a winter wedding.

[For the record, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2: A previous version of this post incorrectly said that Linda McCartney died in 1988. Thanks to commenters Sean Greene, Richard LeComte and Fatima Curiel for flagging the gaffe.]

Neil Diamond shares engagement news, picture of Katie McNeil

Neil Diamond announced his engagement to Katie McNeil on Twitter

It's been a big week for Neil Diamond, who announced his engagement to Katie McNeil on Wednesday and was himself announced the same day as a 2011 Kennedy Center Honors recipient.

"Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you're the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well," he said on Twitter, following up with a picture of his bride to be and the declaration, "I'm lovestruck."

McNeil, 40, executive produced the 2009 TV documentary "Neil Diamond: Hot August Night/NYC" and according to the Daily Mail works at Diamond's management company.

It will be the third wedding for the 70-year-old singer, who was previously married to high school sweetheart Jayne Posner, then to Marcia Murphey. Diamond and Murphey were divorced in 1995. He has two daughters from his first marriage and two sons from his second.

Diamond in July wrapped up a tour of concert dates down under and in Europe, starting in New Zealand in late February and ending with three shows at London's O2 Arena.

On the Kennedy Center Honors list, the "Sweet Caroline" and "Coming to America" singer is joined by actress Meryl Streep, singer Barbara Cook, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins. Diamond was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March.

Lauren Bush marries David Lauren, becomes Lauren Bush-Lauren

Lauren Bush-David Lauren wedding

Lauren Bush, niece of former President George W. Bush, and David Lauren, son of designer Ralph Lauren, were married Sunday at Ralph and Ricky Lauren's Double RL ranch in Colorado, capping a weekend of wedding festivities that included a picnic and softball game leading up to the ceremony.

One of the most spectacular things about the wedding, other than the view of the Rocky Mountains? The bride's married name.

"After the wedding, Lauren will become Lauren Bush-Lauren," her father, Neil Bush, wrote on Weibo, a Chinese version of Twitter. (The father of the bride has been doing oil business in China.)

Also fantastic: The bride's gown was designed by her father-in-law.

Lauren Bush, 27, is a former model turned entrepreneur. David Lauren, 39, is an executive at Polo Ralph Lauren.

Among the two hundred guests at the wedding -- who were invited to dress in "black tie with a Western twist," according to People -- were George W. Bush 43 and former First Lady Laura Bush, their twin daughters Jenna Hager and Barbara Bush, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. Former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush didn't attend because of health issues related to the altitude of the wedding site; instead, the bride's grandparents sent a video message that was played at the rehearsal dinner, the New York Post said.

The mother of the bride, Sharon, was accompanied by Prince Dmitri of Yugoslavia. Lauren's brother Pierce and sister Ashley and David's brother Andrew and sister Dylan were reported to be in the wedding party. Although Sharon and Neil Bush divorced in 2003, they came together to walk their daughter down the aisle.

The bride arrived in a horse-drawn carriage while guests watched from hand-carved wooden benches. Angela Buchdahl, senior cantor of Manhattan's Central Synagogue, conducted the ceremony, which was followed by a reception in a barn in a nearby meadow, with steaks from ranch stock on the dinner menu. Though the Double RL Ranch was already well-equipped, a softball diamond and chapel were built for the occasion, according to the Durango Herald.

Culture Map Houston rounded up some other celebrity guests' names: Ivanka Trump, who brought her baby to Colorado, and "Showgirls" actress Elizabeth Berkley, wife of the groom's cousin Greg Lauren.

And what might the wedding guests be doing Monday? A hundred tickets have been purchased for the Labor Day rodeo nearby, the Herald said, with the Laurens providing transportation to the Ouray County Fairgrounds.

Gene Simmons, Shannon Tweed set wedding date after 28 years

Shannon Tweed and Gene Simmons are getting married

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed have a date to get married -- finally. The KISS singer and the former Playmate have been together for 28 years and have two children.

Invitations to the Oct. 1 wedding, sent out under the kids' names, contain art by Nick, 22, and a nontraditional message from Sophie, 18: "After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot."

"Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father's life ... well, it doesn't change that much."

The invite isn't all rock-star bravado, however. Teasing to the formation of "Team Tweed-Simmons," it continues: "We will be united as a family in title and spirit forever."

Simmons is 62 and still touring with Paul Stanley and the current incarnation of KISS; Tweed is 54.

Simmons' proposal in Belize was naturally captured by reality-TV cameras for A&E's show "Gene Simmons: Family Jewels," which rolls its seventh season starting Oct. 4.

So much for Simmons' "happily unmarried" lifestyle. Makes it look like Poison frontman Bret Michaels, after 16 years and two kids, practically rushed into things with Kristi Gibson, no?
