Tori Spelling is pregnant (again!) with baby number 4

Tori Spelling is pregnant again!

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are quite the busy couple: The two are welcoming a fourth child into their house, announcing it just five months after the arrival of their latest, a baby girl named Hattie.

"Dean, Liam, Stella, Hattie, and I are beyond thrilled to announce that another little McDermott is on the way," Spelling said on her blog Friday.

"We feel truly blessed that another angel has found us."

Spelling and McDermott found each other at the altar in May 2006. The couple has starred in several reality franchises for cable networks. Their brood also includes the aforementioned Liam, 5, and Stella, 4.

Spelling has another baby pending: a mysterious television project that touches close to home.

"In rehearsals all day 2day on an exciting new tv series I'm doing. Can't announce yet but it's totally tori & plays into [one] of my main passions," she tweeted.

What's Tori Spelling's kid doing? And do we need to know?

Tori Spelling and her kids Liam and Victoria, before Hattie was born.

This blazing news just in from megalo-mommy Tori Spelling:

"[Liam]'s 1st reaction to mama after new baby ... He immediately looked down at my stomach, saying, 'Mama do you have a hole in your belly now? You look so much prettier without that big belly.'"

Thanks to a tweet linking to the rest of that on her blog, we now know how much prettier mommy looks -- thanks Liam! -- and that, hey, Tori is still out there, doing stuff. Of course the revelations came via a minor who had no choice but to see his remarks distributed to millions, but so? It’s Tori, people! The world needs to know everything that happens to her!

Of course Spelling isn't the only celebrity out there who tweets routinely about what their children are doing in supposedly private settings. Sherri Shepherd recently tweeted an intimate moment between her son and her new husband: "What shall I call you, Stepdaddy? Hmmm, I think I'll call you Daddy." And Brooke Burke-Charvet overshared this tidbit:
"I drive all the way to school to see my big girls off, first day. And they were too embarrassed to hang! Aaah the joys of motherhood :( ."

If it ever occurred to Burke that embarrassed adolescents might not want that fact broadcast across the planet, thus furthering said embarrassment, she hasn't tweeted about it. It may be the only thing she hasn't tweeted.

The Ministry summoned a family therapist and ran such scenarios past her. Psychologist Jenn Berman didn't have a huge problem with parents tweeting a kid's private comments, but she did take issue with stars blabbing particularly sensitive conversations.

"Where it becomes detrimental is when a Hollywood parent tweets something that the child considered to be private and the parent either doesn't recognize that to be private," Berman said, "or just doesn't honor the boundary."

By way of example, Berman told us a (possibly hypothetical) story of a star whose kid had a crush on another kid in class; the parent then disclosed that to the public.

In those cases, "The child becomes an extension of the star's brand, sold out for the sake of the brand," she said. "I see it enough for it to be a concern that comes up in my practice."

So what happens when Berman gently points out that maybe a celeb should put a rein on what he or she tweets?

Well, here's a bit of good news.

"The reaction is, 'Oh wow, I never thought of it that way,' and they change."

Tori Spelling is spelling out a new name today, because the reality star announced the birth of a girl with husband Dean McDermott.

Hattie Margaret McDermott was born Monday in Los Angeles. "Our family's so happy 2 announce tht 10/10/11 [our] baby girl Hattie Margaret McDermott was born at 7:08am! Xoxo," the excited mama said Tuesday on Twitter.

This is the fourth addition to the Spelling-McDermott household, which includes Liam, 4, and Stella, 3, plus 13-year-old Jack, McDermott's son from a previous relationship.

Spelling confirmed her bun in the oven in April. She previously told People she'd love to have four kids with Dean but that perhaps this go-round with Hattie would be her last.

Petra Ecclestone reportedly buys Spelling estate for $85 million

Petra Ecclestone buys the Spelling mansion

Petra Ecclestone, a 22-year-old British heiress, has reportedly bought Candy Spelling's Holmby Hills estate, the most expensive residential listing in the United States.

"The Manor," as the late TV producer Aaron Spelling's 56,500-square-foot home is known, has been on the market at $150 million for more than two years, according to reports Tuesday.

Though Candy had held firm on the asking price over the years, sources told TMZ the place went into escrow at $85 million. Now do we all believe housing prices have declined more steeply than during the Great Depression?

The daughter of British Formula One exec Bernie Ecclestone, whose worth is estimated at $4 billion, is a sometime fashion designer. The Spelling joint was reportedly her second-choice mansion, poor thing.

The house, which is larger than the White House and believed to have more than 100 rooms, has features including a bowling alley, a flower-cutting room, a wine cellar/tasting room, a barbershop and a silver storage room. Outside are a tennis court, a koi pond, gardens, a citrus orchard and a swimming pool with a pool house.

More than 100 vehicles can be accomodated in the motor court and 16 carports, and a service wing houses the staff in five maids' bedrooms and two butlers' suites, the Los Angeles Times reported in 2009.

Aaron Spelling -- executive producer on series including "The Love Boat," "Dynasty" and most recently "Charmed" -- died in June 2006. Daughter Tori Spelling and her brother Randy Spelling each inherited less than $1 million at the time from the estate, then estimated to be worth $300 million. Tori is now pregnant with her third child.

Ecclestone plans to split her time between L.A. and London, where she owns another mansion, according to the Guardian.
