Eva Amurri marries Kyle Martino; Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins host

Eva Amurri and Susan Sarandon

Eva Amurri -- daughter of Susan Sarandon -- has married former soccer star Kyle Martino, and here's betting the wedding-night lingerie was fabulous.

Amurri, 26, famously received Martino's proposal the day after a Maxim photo shoot that showed off quite a bit of the Sarandon offspring's skin. The photos recall Mom's "Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me" moment in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," a song she performed while wearing a white bra and panties.

Sarandon and Tim Robbins -- with whom Sarandon split in 2009 after a 23-year relationship -- were hosts of the wedding, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Amurri's father is Italian filmmaker Franco Amurri, but Eva was just 3 years old when Sarandon and Robbins got together. The couple gave Amurri two brothers: Miles and Jack.

The wedding party reportedly made a weekend of it, with cocktails, oysters and a scavenger hunt.  Interesting to note: Sister Helen Prejean officiated at the wedding ceremony, held in Charleston, S.C. Sarandon portrayed Prejean, the anti-death penalty activist nun, in the movie "Dead Man Walking."

Amurri, like Mom, is an actress. She's had a recurring role in "Californication" as the stripper Jackie -- in keeping with the underwear theme. "Stripping is not easy," Amurri says in a video on the Showtime website; she said she had extensive bruises and gained new respect for pole dancers.

As she settles into life as the wife of a soccer-star-turned-broadcaster, Amurri has new projects coming out, including the Adam Sandler movie "I Hate You Dad," in which Sarandon also has a role.  There's no information on whether Amurri will be seen in her undies.

But it's not only lingerie that Amurri is fond of. She's a fashion fan, and she, her mother and her bridesmaids wore Lela Rose at her wedding.  Chances are good that Amurri took no advice on choice of dress from her mother, whom she dissed in 2008 for poor style sense.

"She is really very very very disinterested in fashion. ... She wears her gym clothes from when she comes back from the gym until night. Sometimes she puts a jacket over it if I really beg her to, but she doesn’t really care very much."

Luckily, Mom doesn't hold a grudge and throws a fabulous party.

For the record, Susan Sarandon is sadder than you are about Tim Robbins

Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins Susan Sarandon has spoken out again about her split from longtime partner Tim Robbins — and she's still more upset than you.

In an interview with U.K. newspaper the Daily Telegraph almost a year after the breakup was announced, Sarandon talked about strangers approaching her to express their heartbreak over her heartbreak.

"People were coming up to me in the street and saying, 'I cried and cried when I heard.' Well, I was sadder! I didn't think it would ever happen, either," she admits.

"You bring people into your life at certain times. Maybe you have a relationship to have children and you realize that it's fulfilled after that point."

As we're almost a year into splitsville, is Sarandon simply oversharing or are media outlets belaboring the point — a la Jennifer Aniston and her marital saga with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

PREACH IT! Susan Sarandon tells us how we feel

Sarandon-robbins According to Susan Sarandon, the nation is going through a really rough patch right now, and not necessarily because, you know, we have no jobs. We weep, all of us, from Guam to Anchorage, because Sarandon and That Guy From "Shawshank Redemption" have broken up.

Sarandon discussed the breakup in the latest edition of New York magazine. She described it unto us thusly:

"The nation mourned," Sarandon said. "I did feel a sense of responsibility, because I knew that people had a certain idea of how I was and who we were."

For the record, Sarandon adds, “But on your deathbed, it's not really going to matter how those people felt."

As of Wednesday afternoon, Staples Center has not been booked for any sort of memorial; we also were unable to confirm any dates for a public service at Forest Lawn, though we are awaiting return phone calls from several local makers of gold caskets, and we can only assume that Jennifer Hudson will be singing something grand, probably backed by a local AME church choir.

In the meantime, let’s try our best to face our grief with dignity. The onetime couple that was Sarandon and That Guy From "Shawshank" would want it that way.

Critics' Choice Awards: The ladies host, win and smooch

Streep and Bullock
Bigelow Girls rocked at the 15th annual Critics' Choice Awards on Friday night. As Kristin Chenoweth pointed out with much perkiness, she was the event's first woman host, and Kathryn Bigelow was the first woman to nab best director, for the much-buzzed-about "The Hurt Locker," which also picked up best picture. You go, girls.

Then of course there was the shocking-but-not-really married-woman-on-married-woman smack-on-the-mouth kiss that Sandra Bullock bestowed on Meryl Streep when they tied for best actress. Alright, ladies, we get it. You're wacky.

Bullock, who was honored for "The Blind Side," was one of the evening's surprises. Clearly, even she didn't expect to be onstage with Streep. "To the critics, I bet you never saw this coming," she said.

Another much loved but rarely honored star was best actor Jeff Bridges, who has racked up multiple noms for Oscars, Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild awards but never won. ...

Hollywood Walk of Fame

The turkey was delicious, the mashed potatoes rich and creamy, and that pumpkin pie -- well, nobody threw it at Grandma, even after she decided to tell everyone they needed a haircut.

They're up and raring to go, they've already done Disneyland and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the "Law & Order" marathon can go on only so long before someone takes the law into his or her own hands. Now what?
