Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal? Seriously, you guys?

Much like the dramatic strings heralding one of her choruses, or the eerie few seconds before an explosion in one of his action flicks — could this tingling in our chest signal the unthinkable plot twist of Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal actually dating? 

The evidence appears to be mounting.

Last week, reports said the pair attended the "Saturday Night Live" broadcast featuring Emma Stone. "They walked around together backstage, but they were careful not to be seen too close. It was hard to tell if they were together, but everyone was shocked that she brought him," a source told People magazine.

On Sunday, Swift and Gyllenhaal joined another couple for brunch in Brooklyn. Fast-forward a week, and Us magazine has details on even more quality time.

For Halloween weekend, the pair hit California's Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, where the mag says the duo were holding hands and laughing poolside. After the holiday, they surfaced in Santa Barbara for ice cream.

"They looked at all the flavors and couldn't decide, so they asked the counter girls for help," an onlooker said.

Jake chose Swiss chocolate chip. Taylor had yogurt with rainbow sprinkles. We, meanwhile, are having three jumbo scoops of seriously!?!?

Demi Lovato enters treatment for 'issues,' quits Jonas Brothers tour

Teen star Demi Lovato has left a gig opening for the Jonas Brothers to seek help at a professional treatment center.

Lovato "left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time" reps for the singer said in Monday.

"Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions ... she is doing just that. Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time," the statement continued.

A fight with a female dancer on the tour was the "catalyst" that lead Lovato to seek help, TMZ says. The website also cites a source as saying drug addiction is not an issue on the table for the 18-year-old.

Lovato broke out in the Disney franchise "Camp Rock" where she starred alongside the Jonases. She's most recently led the sitcom "Sonny With a Chance" in addition to her solo musical efforts.

Justin Bieber face time for Mark Wahlberg's daughter Ella

Looks like "The Italian Job" DVDs and a voicemail from Will Ferrell will go only so far in securing "awesome dad" status -- so Mark Wahlberg stepped up his game and landed his daughter a meeting with Justin Bieber.

Wahlberg attended Variety's Power of Youth event, presented by the Hub on Sunday at the Studios at Paramount in L.A., with his eldest child, Ella, in tow. With a friend, the 7-year-old -- wearing a T-shirt featuring the teen phenom's face -- nabbed a photo op with the Biebs.

After the big meet, the family walked the studio lot snacking on Sprinkles cupcakes and mingling with the likes of Maria Bello. New "Glee" guy Chord Overstreet showed up in John Varvatos to rub elbows with young stars including "Scream 4's" Lucy Hale, Kendall Jenner (of the Kardashian clan) and rapper Bow Wow.

Another Hollywood dad on duty this weekend was David Beckham. On Saturday, the soccer player took his boys Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz to a private estate in Beverly Hills where Kinect for Xbox 360 hosted celebs to try out the new hands-free gaming technology.

The Beckham boys played enthusiastically while David caught video on his phone, then the brood was treated to temporary tattoos to emulate their father's extensive ink sleeve.

Leif Garrett pleads no contest to heroin possession

Former teen idol Leif Garrett pleaded no contest Friday in Los Angeles to heroin possession and was sentenced to a court-ordered drug-treatment program, according to the Associated Press.

Garrett, 48, was arrested Feb. 3 at the Pershing Square Metro subway station in downtown L.A., with police who found drugs in his possession describing him as "sweating and shaking profusely" before boarding a train; at his February arraignment he pleaded not guilty to the felony charge.

It was announced in July that he'd joined Rachel Uchitel, Janice Dickinson and others in the cast of the fourth season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew." Filming of the 21-day treatment program ended in August, with the episodes schedule to premiere Dec. 1.

This was Garrett's fourth drug-related arrest, and his second heroin-and-L.A.-subway-station-related arrest.
