Taylor Swift, Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres celebrate CoverGirl's 50th anniversary

It was all easy, breezy, beautiful CoverGirls -- such as Taylor Swift, Drew Barrymore and Queen Latifah -- in West Hollywood on Thursday night. A bevy of the brand's spokesgals and celebrity admirers turned up to celebrate the makeup line's 50th anniversary.

At Boa, the swank steak joint just below Soho House, cocktails and cookies were passed to the likes of "Glee" stars Amber Riley and Cory Monteith, a sherbet-colored Barrymore (right), Justin Bieber's lady friend Selena Gomez and "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh.

Without question, the room revolved around Portia and Ellen DeGeneres, who were all smiles and super affectionate as they worked the room. 

Just as affectionate but perhaps less sought after were a sweet Kendra Wilkinson and football-playing hubby Hank Baskett (her post-baby body is a solid 10 by now, FYI). Click the picture of them, above, to see more from the red carpet.

Kyle Richards of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" schmoozed near a CoverGirl photo booth with an army of seasoned models -- such as Niki Taylor, Rachel Hunter and Cheryl Tiegs, and reality girls Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port. 

The shindig came on the heels of the People's Choice Awards after party at the Conga Room -- a first stop for folks such as Walsh -- where Ultimat vodka toasted nominees and winners.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are over

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are reportedly over, you guys. Sadsies. Peel yourself off the floor and ask in harmony with us: How?! Why?!

"It ended last month," a source told People magazine of the fledgling romance, which frankly stunned us upon discovery in late October.

The two first surfaced at "Saturday Night Live," together backstage mingling with host Emma Stone and cast. The next day, they enjoyed a coffee date in Brooklyn near the home of Jake's sister Maggie.

Over Halloween, the two vacationed in Big Sur, indulging in an ice cream date and poolside lounging. Flash forward to Thanksgiving and it was another family affair with the Gyllenhaals in New York. The quality time ceased over the stars' respective December birthdays and during New Year's festivities.

No word on why they're dunzo, if in fact they're dunzo. Camps for both stars are mum.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal's sweet Thanksgiving date

Quality time between Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift consists almost exclusively of excessively sweet dating rituals, seemingly ripped from the lyrics of one of Swift's songs -- and Thanksgiving morning was no exception.

The power pair was spotted back in Brooklyn, hitting Park Slope's Gorilla Cafe, near Jake's sister Maggie's home, People said.

The couple enjoyed specialty lattes made with Vermont maple syrup. Swoon. In our idealizing version of the coffee date, Taylor doodled "Mrs. Gyllenhaal" on her napkin and occasionally locked eyes with Jake in his letterman jacket.

Let us not forget that the couple (who, BTW, need a nickname -- Tayke? Swillenhaal?) have previously enjoyed Italian food in the same neighborhood, plus an ice cream date in California.

Kanye West reignites Taylor Swift, Matt Lauer feuds

Oh, Kanye West. Just one day shy of Thanksgiving and you come through with comments so juicy, you might as well have brined them overnight in maple syrup.

The verbose West gave a surprise concert Tuesday at New York City's Bowery Ballroom, where he performed the entire track list from his new "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" -- and took the opportunity to invoke the memories of popular sparring mates Taylor Swift and Matt Lauer.

"Taylor never came to my defense in any interview ... and rode it and rode it," he told a crowd including stars like Diddy, Spike Lee, Aziz Ansari and Ivanka Trump.

"If I wasn't drunk, I woulda been on stage longer," he added, referencing his notorious stage-storming during Swift's MTV Video Music Awards win.

As for Lauer, who West insisted treated him unfairly during a "Today" show appearance, the rapper said, "Lauer's not a bad guy I'm sure, but if you are a child that's being abused by your parent or you are a girl being abused by your boyfriend -- the greatest win that you could ever have is for that person to hit you in public. You see?" 

Actually, we might need some illumination. We can assume that West's bold analogy makes him the (shocking) victim of similar abuse by the media, specifically Lauer. 

Other luminaries at the Bowery show included Q-Tip, Nicki Minaj, John Legend and new dad Swizz Beats.

Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Lautner, Beckham boys get a 'Green Lantern' gift

While it's a federal offense to go through someone else's mail, the Ministry has some scoop on a special delivery that went wide to celebs including Scarlett Johansson, Jay-Z, Chris Pine, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift.

Warner Bros.' consumer products division sent out a "priceless parcel" to 100 famous faces from entertainers, including goodies geared to hype their forthcoming "The Green Lantern."

The action flick starring Ryan Reynolds doled out merchandise including a replica of superhero Lantern's power ring and bracelet, a hat and logo sweatshirt, and an illustrated T-shirt of the character by Wet Cement.

Some of Hollywood's most famous kids received the bundle as well, including Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn Beckham (with one for father David); Christina Aguilera's little guy, Max; Willow and Jaden Smith; and Matthew McConaughey's kiddo, Levi.

The flick is slated to open June 17.

Holy blowout Taylor Swift! What do you think of her straight hair? [poll]

Taylor Swift and her hair put on a slick performance Sunday at the American Music Awards, as the country pop star broke with her wavy trademark, sporting bangs and straight locks and winning favorite country female artist over Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood.

Not that we're saying this was any Adam Lambert-style performance -- but still, relatively speaking, the hair was a bit shocking.

Oh yeah, she sang her new ballad "Back to December" as well.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal? Seriously, you guys?

Much like the dramatic strings heralding one of her choruses, or the eerie few seconds before an explosion in one of his action flicks — could this tingling in our chest signal the unthinkable plot twist of Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal actually dating? 

The evidence appears to be mounting.

Last week, reports said the pair attended the "Saturday Night Live" broadcast featuring Emma Stone. "They walked around together backstage, but they were careful not to be seen too close. It was hard to tell if they were together, but everyone was shocked that she brought him," a source told People magazine.

On Sunday, Swift and Gyllenhaal joined another couple for brunch in Brooklyn. Fast-forward a week, and Us magazine has details on even more quality time.

For Halloween weekend, the pair hit California's Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, where the mag says the duo were holding hands and laughing poolside. After the holiday, they surfaced in Santa Barbara for ice cream.

"They looked at all the flavors and couldn't decide, so they asked the counter girls for help," an onlooker said.

Jake chose Swiss chocolate chip. Taylor had yogurt with rainbow sprinkles. We, meanwhile, are having three jumbo scoops of seriously!?!?

Miss Swift, haven't you learned anything from President Obama's mistakes? No matter what Angelenos think of you and your work, we are guaranteed to hate your guts if you snarl up our rush-hour traffic.

Especially on a Friday.

Swift performed her short, surprise Hollywood Boulevard concert atop a double-decker bus with her face splashed all over it. With various streets closed from 1 to 5 p.m., traffic was a mess, eliciting some "fan mail" on Twitter for @taylorswift13:

@WalkerMark10 Just sat in traffic at Hollywood and Highland because Taylor Swift was allegedly singing a song on top of a moving bus...

At least she didn't use the bus to block the Hollywood Freeway, like that other band Angelenos now hate.

Swift move, literally. At least when she played for JetBlue on Thursday at JFK Airport in New York, they didn't have to close the runways.

Kanye West's diamond teeth -- seriously, how do you take care of those things?

Kanye West appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' show Tuesday -- mere hours before he took on Times staffer Chris Lee via Twitter -- to talk about his new film, "Runaway," how he recovered from that messy Taylor Swift incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and -- his diamond teeth? Talk about putting your money where your mouth is.

"I just thought the diamonds were cooler," Kanye said, explaining the look he's been tweeting about since the summer.

There's a (slightly fuzzy) video of the interaction after the jump. Unfortunately, the photo above doesn't give the new artwork justice. We'd love to show you a better photo of Kanye's new chompers, but we guess his financial advisors have taught him to protect his assests -- he tends to only show his top teeth when he smiles for pictures.

Taylor Swift has Emma Stone's back at 'Easy A' after-party

We at the Ministry love it when besties spring into action. Take Taylor Swift, no doubt still emotional from her lyrical response to Mr. Verbus Interruptus Kanye West. Is she at home writing in a dream journal and contemplating a life-changing haircut?

No. She's out doing the right thing, supporting gal pal Emma Stone. 

Country starlet Swift showed up at Monday's premiere of "Easy A" at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Stone toplines the ensemble comedy, a modern take on "The Scarlet Letter." 

After hitting the red carpet in a backless Pucci number, Swift changed into a white ensemble for the film's after-party at h.wood, where the pair tackled schmoozing together.

Swift and Stone got face time with the likes of Patricia Clarkson, who was glued to her phone for most of the evening, and even approached by funny lady Anna Faris, who complimented Stone on her performance.
