Kim Kardashian engaged to NBA star Kris Humphries; Kardashian family reacts

Kim Kardashian engaged to Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian
is engaged to Kris Humphries after six months of dating and quite a bit of PDA. Exciting as the news is, the real shocker is that the reality star kept her megawatt engagement ring hidden for a week.

The New Jersey Nets star asked the reality TV gal to marry him by surprising her at her Beverly Hills home on May 18, People reports. He covered her bedroom with rose petals spelling out "Will you marry Me?" sealing the deal with a custom-made 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz ring. (A stunner that rivals the size of her famed backside.)

Kim Kardashian engaged to Kris HumphriesHumphries was in cahoots with Kardashian's mom/manager Kris Jenner, who threw the couple an intimate celebration at home after the proposal.

"I didn't expect this at all," Kardashian told the mag. "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

But Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 26, seemed to be priming fans for a big announcement for weeks, exchanging lovey dovey messages on Twitter and telling the media how great their families were getting along. They were recently spotted shopping for engagement rings and she was photographed frequently at his basketball games. E! also announced that he'd be featured on the next season on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

In January, she met his parents after only a few months of dating and he seemed to be the reason the curvy California girl decided to extend her stay in the Big Apple after wrapping "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." All along the way, she reiterated how she didn't like dating, wanted to settle down and was jealous that her sisters Khloe and Kourtney had already gotten hitched or started families. So an engagement almost seemed imminent.

"OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! It's true! I couldn't be happier!" Kardashian wrote on her blog, also confirming the annoucement on Twitter. "Thank you guys for all of the sweet messages!!!

Estella Warren allegedly crashes into parked cars, is arrested and attempts to flee

Estella Warren arrested This post has been corrected. See the note at the bottom for details.

Actress Estella Warren was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of felony drunk driving after allegedly crashing her Toyota Prius into parked cars and attempting to escape authorities.

The "Planet of the Apes" and "Kangaroo Jack" actress was arrested around 11 p.m. Monday near her home in the 600 block of Harper Avenue in West Los Angeles, LA Now reported. Warren, a former Victoria's Secret model and Maxim's hottest woman of 2000, showed signs of intoxication.

When she was detained, she wiggled out of her handcuffs, kicked the officer and tried to run out of the police station, TMZ reported. As a result, Warren will likely face escape charges in addition to assault, hit and run and DUI charges.

"She was uncooperative and demanding," the rep added.

The actress was booked at 3:10 a.m. and released at 2:35 p.m. after posting bail at $100,000, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department website. The site also indicated that the actress was born in 1970, making her 40, not 32 as other reports have indicated.

She is set to appear in court June 14.

For the Record, 7:59 p.m. May 24: An earlier version of this post said a representative for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department told People that "Warren hit three parked cars in what was considered three separate collisions." The Sheriff’s Department has since told The Times that the People report was in error, and the quote has been removed.

Don Lemon comes out in book 'Transparent'

Don Lemon says he's gay in 'Transparent' CNN weekend anchor Don Lemon is gay, the journalist announced in his memoir "Transparent."

"I abhor hypocrisy," Lemon told the New York Times. "I think if you're going to be in the business of news, and telling people the truth, of trying to shed light in dark places, then you've got to be honest. You've got to have the same rules for yourself as you do for everyone else."

The 45-year-old anchor's book chronicles his personal life -- growing up without a father and being molested as a child -- and his career as he worked at local stations in Philadelphia, Chicago and New York before starting at CNN. He was cautious about detailing his personal life in the book, a project that was just supposed to be an inspirational pamphlet.

"I'm talking about something that people might shun me for, ostracize me for," Lemon said about being scared to come out.

Lemon made no secret of his sexual orientation: co-workers and managers knew he was gay and the network had assured him of support, he said. But the book was his first public announcement.

"It's quite different for an African American male. It's about the worst thing you can be in black culture. You're taught you have to be a man; you have to be masculine," he said. "In the black community they think you can pray the gay away. ... You're afraid that black women will say the same things they do about how black men should be dating black women..."

"I guess this makes me a double minority now."

Lemon appeared as a guest Monday on "CNN Newsroom" and will appear on "The Joy Behar Show" on CNN's sister channel HLN.

"Transparent" lands in stores June 16.

Drug, graffiti charges against Keith Richards' daughter Theodora dropped

Charges dismissed against Keith Richards' daughter Theodora Richards Graffiti and drug charges against rocker Keith Richards' daughter Theodora Richards were dismissed Thursday in a plea deal with New York prosecutors.

Richards, 25, who was arrested March 1 on suspicion of tagging the side of a SoHo building and possessing marijuana and hydrocodone, was given two days of community service and told to visit a drug treatment program for a day, a deal she initially had turned down at the time of her arrest.

But prosecutors agreed to the deal laid out by a Manhattan Criminal Court judge because Richards had no previous criminal record and is currently in a drug treatment program. She must complete the community service by June 24, when she is due to appear again in court.

Police said they caught her with a paint marker writing "T [heart] A" on a building that houses a convent in an upscale part of SoHo, where she lives. She had 8 1/2 hydrocodone pills without a prescription and a small amount of marijuana, court documents said. When she was arrested she did not enter a plea and was released without bail.

The model, who wore a finely striped shirt-dress and high heels to court, has appeared in ad campaigns for Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger and French Connection.

The Associated Press reported that she "smiled but stayed mum" as she left court. Her attorney, Edward Hayes, said she was currently drug-free.

"She's as clean as the snow," he said.

Richards is one of two daughters of the Rolling Stones guitarist, 67, and model Patti Hansen. Keith Richards, who has two other children from a previous relationship, chronicled his bad-boy lifestyle in last year's best-selling memoir "Life."

Ricky Gervais sings and dances in '80s pop duo Seona Dancing!

We knew about "The Office," "Extras" and his various other shows but, oh, Ricky Gervais... why did you never tell us about this?

The controversial Golden Globes host and sharp-tongued comic used to be in the '80s synth duo Seona Dancing.  And for the '80s and its unfortunate hairstyles, he looked real good.

Watch the music video for the band's chart topping single "Bitter Heart" above. A bounty that will live forever on YouTube. And yes, it's really Ricky!

Maybe he sees this as an unwanted blemish on his less-than-squeaky-clean career, but we see it as a goldmine. Are you as in love with this version of Ricky as we are? Tell us in comments.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy fall on 'Dancing With the Stars,' get back up

Kirstie Alley may have leaned a little too much on "Dancing With the Stars" partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy during their rumba Monday night, leading to the painful tumble the pair took in the ballroom.

Chmerkovskiy, her professional partner on the show whom the Ministry likes to call "the shirtless wonder," said that his thigh gave out and he experienced a "charlie horse" during their routine.

Before they performed, Alley said the dance was supposed to reflect a really difficult time in her life when she lost her mother in a car accident in the 1980s. Perhaps Alley saying it showed "the agony and the ecstasy" was live television's version of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The sweet dance, set to Israel Kamakawio'ole's version of "Over the Rainbow," started off serenely dramatic until the thigh issue. Watch the video above.

The poor shirtless wonder struggled to get up and back on count after taking a few seconds to recover.

"It was sweet. He just looked at me and said, 'Let's keep dancing,'" Alley told E! of the fall. "And I thought, 'I like that.' I have the best partner!"

And Chmerkovskiy said he was pretty embarrassed by the whole thing. "To all the fans...I'm sorry! It will never happen again and I will never 'fall'! To @kirstiealley You were..FLAWLESS! In more ways than one!" he tweeted post-show.

Hear that George Lopez?

"woke up to all of your supportive tweets..humbled..It's good to know that u are in this game with us come RAIN or come SHINE....thank u," Alley tweeted Tuesday morning. Adding, "Maks is too humble.. we all know it takes TWO to Tango..on our feet or on our asses...it takes TWO ..I will do better from now on...xoxo."

But the dance was still pretty stunning and like Bruno Tonioli told Alley, "Once you got up it was better than ever," scoring the pair 21 points out of 30.

What did you think of the dance? Was it agony or ecstasy to watch? Tell us in comments.

Miley Cyrus rejoins Twitter for Charlie Sheen and Liam Hemsworth?

Miley Cyrus wins Kids' Choice Award, rejoins Twitter Miley Cyrus is back ... on Twitter, that is, crediting her return to none other than Charlie Sheen. Oh, and her fans too.

The teen star returned to the micro-blogging site on the heels of her favorite movie actress win at the Kids' Choice Awards in order to promote her upcoming Gypsy Heart World Tour.

"Yo guys! Its MC! Thank you so much for my KCA! =] PS I am taking over the Gypsy Heart twitter! Gotta keep ya posted on tour <3 come see me!" she wrote.

But soon after, Cyrus revealed the real reasons for her comeback.

"Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!" I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning," she tweeted Sunday.

Perhaps she just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Hey, Miley, you're not missing much in terms of torpedoes of truth anyway.

The 18-year-old amassed thousands more followers via the Gypsy Tour account. She deleted her personal account in October 2009 for on-again-off-again boyfriend and "The Last Song" costar Liam Hemsworth.

Ironically, she tweeted props to Hemsworth for landing a role in the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games" with Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence.

"I can say the best news ever now! Dang word travels fast! Liam booked the role of Gale in Hunger Games! I gotta go read all the books now!" she wrote.

Cyrus was also quick to reply to fans and converse with other celebrities, including Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and Jaden Smith, who is teaming up with papa Will Smith in an M. Night Shyamalan-directed project.

It's a good thing salvia isn't as addictive as Twitter, we suppose.

Are you going to start following Miley now that she's back on Twitter? Let us know in comments.

Is Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel skinny enough to lose her contract? [Poll]

Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel bore some scrutiny when she debuted the upcoming swimsuit collection with her fellow Victoria's Secret Angels this week at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.

Apparently we need another reminder that swimsuit season is once again upon us.

Photos of the the South African beauty's tiny waist, slender arms and skinny legs next to the curvy Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima set off the controversy, as the 22-year-old seemed a tad plumper (a healthy plumper) in recent months.

"I am healthy and happy," Swanepoel told the New York Daily News through a rep. "I'm heartened to know how much everyone cares about me, but in this case everything is normal and good."

Candice Swanepoel in February 2009 The 2011 swimsuit issue cover girl's most recent modeling card said she was 5-foot-9 and wore size-8 dresses, though the photos seem to tell another story. She insisted that her diet is determined by stress and traveling.

"I work out a lot. I box. I'm obsessed with it," Swanepoel told Hollyscoop.com. "It helps a lot with traveling, you know, to be strong and carry on with everything."

Victoria's Secret models are generally a little bustier and curvier than high-fashion models because, well, something has to go in those cups.

The models' contracts specifically say they are expected to be "healthy and muscular," and Swanepoel could lose her contract if she gets too thin, a source familiar with the contract told E!

"There is a really clear criteria for both Angels and the catalogue. Their career path is 'Sports Illustrated' swimsuit issue, then to Angel, it's the highest-paying contract there is, period. The image is about being voluptuous, it's not fat, but it's curvy," the source said. "But if you start to look skinny and 'editorial print-like,' like fashion mag models, like undernourished, it gives the image the company does not want."

Former Victoria's Secret model Tyra Banks also dealt with scrutiny over her weight when she gained a few pounds after retiring from the runway.

What do you think, Gossip Ministers? Is she skinny enough to lose her contract? Tell us in comments.

Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi talks at Rutgers for $32,000 about what it takes to be Snooki

Snookirutgers_re Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, isn't cheap, just ask Rutgers University, which was charged $32,000 this week for an on-campus appearance by the "Jersey Shore" star.

Students complained about whether it was a wise use of the school's money and perhaps it could have found a better entertainer than Snooki, but 1,000-plus people still showed up Thursday to hear the MTV reality star in a Q-and-A at the Livingston Student Center.

"The students canvassed for who they wanted here and had the funds available," Rutgers spokesman Steve Manas told Reuters. The money came from the university's Programming Assn.'s mandatory student activity fees.

Even Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison cost $2,000 less when she's set to speak at the New Brunswick, N.J., university's commencement ceremony May 15.

First the SATs ask about reality television, then the Snooks gets berated for essentially putting on a show (not teaching a class, people). So much for higher education.

Reports indicated the self-proclaimed meatball and Wrestlemania headliner talked about her hair, fist pumps and, of course, GTL. (For the uninitiated, that's "gym, tan, laundry.") Her advice to students: Study hard, but party harder. Watch a video of students fist-pumping on stage below.

"The poof is its own living form, it's my trademark but people always expect it," she said. "It's a summer hairstyle, so if I want to Snook the night, I'll wear the poof."

Snooki went to school to be a veterinary tech before appearing on the hit reality show, which just wrapped its third season. The fourth season is set to tape in Italy, where cameras will follow her, Pauly D and company as they go back to their ancestors' homeland.

"If I'm ever annoyed at the camera, I'll spray hairspray for five years," she said. "The only real way to get away from the camera is showering, so we take really long showers."

Sound advice for aspiring reality stars, no?

'American Reunion' moves to reunite original 'American Pie' cast, Stifler included

'American Pie' cast may reunite for 'American Reunion'
Jason Biggs
, Sean William Scott and Eugene Levy have signed on for another installment of the "American Pie" franchise, so brace yourself for another helping of the popular comedy in "American Reunion."

Original cast members Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge are in negotiations with Universal for the film, the Wrap reports.

The studio is also courting "band camp girl" Alyson Hannigan, of "How I Met Your Mother," and brunet bombshell Shannon Elizabeth for the film.

Despite Scott's recent admittance to rehab, the Stifler character's rep confirms that his treatment will not affect filming, which is set to begin May 24.

The series of films include "American Pie," released in 1999; "American Pie 2," released in 2001; and "American Wedding," released in 2003. A fourth installment called "American Pie Presents Band Camp," starring Levy, went straight to DVD in 2005.

Writing and directing "American Reunion" are "Harold & Kumar's" Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.
