Maria Menounos: Bikini bare in Times Square to pay Super Bowl bet

Maria Menounos in a bikini, with A.J. Calloway and Mario Lopez

The Super Bowl brought a win for the New York Giants and a loss for Maria Menounous. A loss of clothing, actually, that saw her bikini-clad in chilly temperatures in New York City, hosting "Extra."

Menounos, a New England Patriots fan, had been so confident her team would win, she said she'd host the show in a bikini if they didn't.

And ... they didn't.

"Sorry about your loss," a possibly insincere Mario Lopez said Monday morning in front of the cameras, before Menounos shed her robe and revealed a red, blue and white bikini. And how was she doing? "I'm in Times Square in the middle of winter in a bikini, Mario." Duh.

Though fellow correspondent A.J. Calloway did his best to keep their girl warm -- reminding her, for example, that "God is a Giants fan," and providing a pair of knit gloves -- Menounos later lamented her pregame chutzpah.

"I can't believe my Patriots lost. I was so confident that every day I ate like I was never going to eat again, and now," she said, looking down at her exposed, absolutely flat abs, "y'know."

Really, Maria? Really? We don't know, actually, but thanks for sharing.

As the guys pointed out, never let it be said that Menounos doesn't keep her word -- even when the temperature is in the 40s.

Gisele Bundchen had a rough walk to the elevator after the Super Bowl game Sunday in Indianapolis, getting hollered at along the lines of "Eli Rules! "Eli rules your husband! Yeah, baby!" and quizzed about what had happened on the field.

She was not pleased -- and she let the New England Patriots' receivers know it.

"They did not catch the ball when they were supposed to catch the ball," she vented, caught on video by "The Insider."

"My husband cannot ... control the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times."

Of course, after Eli Manning led the New York Giants to an awkward but game-winning touchdown with 57 seconds left, things didn't go well for New England; a final Hail Mary pass went uncaught in the Patriots' end zone, and the Giants won, 21-17.

Bundchen's husband wasn't having such a grand time after the game either, and by leaving the locker room through a side door instead of the front, he almost missed some post-game consolation from his supermodel wife.

When she heard he'd gone out another door, she began sprinting after him in black boots with three-inch heels, according to Yahoo Sports, shouting "Tommy! Tommy!" and elbowing her way through the crowd to catch up with him. She finally connected with him, hugging and kissing him and looking into his eyes.

You know, Tom, you might not have won the 2012 Super Bowl -- but you still had a supermodel to take home.

Super Bowl: Joe Manganiello, Chris Evans touch down for parties

Joe Manganiello attends GQ"s super bowl bash
Sports devotees aren't the only ones descending upon Super Bowl in Indianapolis this weekend: Hollywood has touched down to party.

Avid football fan Joe Manganiello suited up for GQ magazine's annual pre-party on Friday, the "True Blood" werewolf enjoying the company of big-name athletes, actors and personalities.

Chris Evans charms a bunny at the Playboy partyDavid Arquette joked around with Steelers wide receiver Hines Wards while Andy Roddick escorted his lady Brooklyn Decker through the bash, held at downtown Indy industrial space The Stultz.

"The Voice" judge and rocker Adam Levine chatted up mag publisher Chris Mitchell as Terrell Owens, Troy Aikman and Patriots player Niko Koutouvides circulated around ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews.

"Dancing With the Stars" winner J.R. Martinez made a showing as did Mike Epps, the Roots and Peter Berg. LL Cool J served up a performance as Patron cocktails pumped through the crowd.

Over at Indy's pop-up Bud Light Hotel, Chris Evans charmed several bunnies at Playboy's bash, sipping Ciroc and taking in a set from Ne-Yo.

Matthew Broderick on his Ferris Bueller ad: 'I'm part of a virus'

Matthew Broderick does a grown-up take on Ferris Bueller

Millions may have fallen instantly in love with Matthew Broderick's Super Bowl ad for Honda, which riffs off his teen classic film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." For Sarah Jessica Parker's husband, however, it took a little longer to feel the love.

After pondering the offer for a while, "I ended up thinking it might be amusing," he told New York magazine's Vulture column, saying he was swayed by the director and the idea that it could be fun. And now, he said, "I guess I'm part of a virus."

(That's "going viral," of course, but no worries -- the Internet wasn't exactly a big deal back in 1986, when Bueller first appeared on the big screen.)

Though the commercial now has about 4 million views on Honda's YouTube channel and countless others around the Web, the Bueller "virus" apparently has some folks disappointed.

Complaining commenters have noted that it's not cool to go from a Ferrari to a minivan, not cool that the commercial wasn't shot in Chicago, not cool that Ben Stein wasn't solicited to bring the "Bueller? Bueller?" Other viewers, however, have busied themselves hunting for the "Easter eggs" -- nuggets of insider references to the film -- that are hidden throughout the spot.

As commenter Steven Edwards said Monday at 24 Frames, "Eeeeasy. It's a commercial. Don't let it ruin your day."

If you still haven't seen the extended version of the spot and can't wait till Sunday to see it during the Super Bowl, check it out below, and let us know in comments here -- amusing, or did Matthew Broderick sell out?

Madonna will welcome LMFAO to Super Bowl halftime stage

Madonna

Madonna's Super Bowl halftime debut is coming together nicely, thanks to a Black Eyed Pea and some animal-print pants.

The queen of pop will grace the nation's biggest football showdown Feb. 5 in Indianapolis -- and who better to help her put the act together than one of last year's headliners, Will.i.am, who played with his fellow Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, apl.d.ap and Taboo.

"I'm going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna," Will told radio station Capital FM, revealing that his "Party Rock" crew will hit the stage with Madge.

"Check that out, Will.i.am Music Group is pretty freaking two for two! One year the Super Bowl, the next year another group part of the Super Bowl in collaboration with Madonna. That's still happening."

Madonna's no stranger to inventive collaborations. Naturally her 2003 VMA kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera caused an international sensation. In 2006,the material girl tapped band Gorillaz to debut her single "Hung Up."

Madonna tapped to play the next Super Bowl halftime show?

Will Madonna play the Superbowl halftime show?

Will Madonna take the field at halftime during the Super Bowl come February?

Madge is reportedly in talks to headline the 2012 halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, which would mark her debut on the massively watched pro football telecast -- that according to a sports blog citing a source "close to the event."

The singer and director's rep told the Ministry on Monday that there is "nothing to confirm at this time"; an NFL official similarly had no comment to SBNation.com regarding its report.

Recent halftime performers have included the Black Eyed Peas, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty. Madonna would in theory have a blank canvas to showcase her catalog of work, from the "Like a Virgin" days to her most recent, electric-hop record, "Hard Candy."

The football folks allegedly approached the material mom in 1998 to get down at that year's big game in Miami, but the gig didn't work out. Also, should she sign, she would have some stiff competition: puppies.

Would you like to see Madonna come through in 2012? Tell us in comments.

Hines Ward arrested on suspicion of DUI in Georgia

Hines Ward arrested on DUI charge

Hines Ward is facing a DUI charge after being arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Saturday morning in Georgia, according to sheriff’s officials there.

The Steelers star turned "Dancing With the Stars" champ was booked at 3:41 a.m. at DeKalb County Jail near Atlanta and later released on $1,300 bond (though according to the sheriff’s website it was $1,000).

Ward, 35, is a former Super Bowl MVP -- he has two Super Bowl rings -- and four-time Pro Bowl selection. He started his career in 1998 when he was drafted in the third round out of Georgia.

Hines Ward mug shotIn May, Ward was held at gunpoint by police in Los Angeles in what turned out to be a mix-up over whether the car he was riding in was a stolen vehicle. It wasn't, and the wide receiver didn't make a big deal about it after the fact. "The police were just doing their job," he said on Twitter. "Apologies were made and it's now in the past."

The Pittsburgh Steelers hadn't yet publicly commented on the wide receiver's arrest. Paperwork has moved along from the sheriff’s office to the courts.

Non-sports fans know him better as the Season 12 champion of “Dancing With the Stars." He won last season with help from professional dancer Kym Johnson.

Ward was the second professional football player to take the Mirror Ball Trophy, with Emmitt Smith the first one back in 2006.

Hines Ward: 'Dancing With the Stars' win 'equally important' as Super Bowl victories

Hines Ward wins 'Dancing With the Stars'

"Dancing With the Stars" champ Hines Ward plans to put his mirror ball trophy right in between his two Super Bowl trophies.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and first-time dancer beat out funny lady Kirstie Alley and Disney darling Chelsea Kane when he won the ballroom dancing competition with partner Kym Johnson on Tuesday, despite her earlier neck injury.

"I have a place in my trophy case with my Super Bowl MVP trophy, right between my two Lombardis. It's gonna look nice," said Ward, a guest blogger on The Times' Fabulous Forum.

Hines earned a perfect score from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli when he and Johnson reenacted their Week 3 samba to Earth, Wind & Fire's "Fantasy," showing off the football player's fluid hips and winning smile.

"That was wonderful," Inaba said during judging. "You dance with heart and it shows."

(In all fairness, Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kane and partner Mark Ballas also earned perfect scores in the much-hyped Season 12 finale.)

Steeler Nation definitely came through for Ward, perhaps with a little bit of help from Johnson's dazzling canary-yellow bustier and bouncy backstage jog.

The 35-year-old athlete said that the "Dancing With the Stars" title and two Super Bowl wins were equally important to him. Seriously.

"They mean different things," he said. "Winning the Super Bowl symbolized being the best in my profession. It along with winning the Super Bowl MVP is the ultimate goal both individually and as a team. It says we are good at what we do as professionals. Winning the mirror ball trophy for me symbolizes overcoming my fear of the unknown. It says that I was able to excel at something I knew nothing about. I was able to rise above difficulty and take a risk. Both prove that hard work pays off. Both are special."

Runner-up Alley, whose body transformation from "Fat Actress" and chemistry with Chmerkovskiy won over many viewers this season, was disappointed by the loss.

"I feel like we did amazing, but you want to win," the 60-year-old actress told reporters after the finale. "We didn't win, so I can't say we didn't have any sadness."

But that didn't last long.

"Oh...ps don't be upset about us not winning for long.... I won so much in the last 13 weeks that it would take hours to convey...LOVE," she later tweeted.

Christina Aguilera got 'caught up in the moment' during national anthem

Christina Aguilera and Matthew Rutler at the Super Bowl Christina Aguilera has been America's punching bag for just over 24 hours now, since she flubbed the national anthem before the Super Bowl. However, the diva did issue a statement explaining and apologizing.

"I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place," the "Burlesque" actress said Sunday night. "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

A source told E! News that Aguilera, who's been singing the national anthem publicly since she was 7, was "visibly upset," skipped the Super Bowl after-parties and caught a plane right back to L.A. Those who doubt that the New York native knows the lyrics can check out the second and third videos in this post, showing her knocking it out at age 11, and just last year for the NBA Finals.

"It's such a huge venue, your nerves take ahold of you. I completely understand," the Black Eyed Peas' Fergie said, defending Aguilera during a radio interview Monday and mentioning some issues with her own performance -- though maybe not mirroring exactly what some of the game's 111 million viewers took away from the Peas' halftime show.

"Some of my notes were pitchy to me," Fergie said -- but hey, she had a great time.

Some stories have circulated lately about erratic behavior from Aguilera, but really, who wouldn't be off their game if they had to live with an estranged husband and a new boyfriend? Xtina filed for divorce from Jordan Bratman in October, and has been dating Mark Rutler, who according to TMZ moved in before Bratman's stuff was hauled away in January.

Rutler accompanied Aguilera to her Super Bowl pregame performance.

Ripped Go Daddy girl Joan Rivers rips into Kim Kardashian, Christina Aguilera [video]

Joan Rivers is the new face of Go Daddy -- yes, just the face -- and never one to shy from snark, she dished it out during the 2011 Super Bowl, when her Go Daddy commercial ran.

"I love Superbowl Sunday. Or, as @KimKardashian calls it, 'the biggest shopping day of the year,'" she tweeted around kickoff.

The sharp-tongued 77-year-old continued to churn out the snark via Twitter when her commercial for the Web-hosting company aired during the game. With her face superimposed on Tabitha Taylor's ripped body, she took the wind out of every straight man's sails.

Betty White Super Bowl commercial for Snickers "How do you like that body?" Rivers tweeted. "That took a lot of hard work-dieting and exercise! And I never once puked up my lunch."

And the harsh, silver-haired humor didn't end with Rivers: Cloris Leachman got the message loud clear and bashed Jillian Michaels and Danica Patrick in her own spoof of Go Daddy's script-flipper.

Betty White's Snickers commercial from last year's Super Bowl proved that ladies of a certain age can still pack a lot of punch -- and Rivers is no exception. She always has something to say and someone to put down.

"The commercials are all aliens and alcoholics and all computer-generated. Thank God my commercial has no special effects," she said.

The star of "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?" and "Fashion Police" officer also poked fun at Christina Aguilera for flubbing the National Anthem, skewering the crooner about her fluctuating weight.
