Lollapalooza sightings: Dave Franco, Kellan Lutz, Questlove

While the underage set partied for Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, music lovers and grown-up celebs hit the Windy City for the madness of Lollapalooza this weekend.

The annual music festival saw performances from Coldplay, Eminen and Foo Fighters as well as their famous friends. While James Franco enjoyed box office success with "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," his younger brother Dave generated fanfare in Chi-town.

Gilt City hosted a "Better Than Backstage" party on the rooftop of Chicago's EnV Apartments, where Franco commanded tons of female attention according to an onlooker, one particularly excited gal almost falling in the pool to get to Dave.

Franco stuck close to his "Fright Night" costar Christopher Mintz-Plasse, moving on later to the city's popular Underground nightclub.

At the Hard Rock Hotel, the Miami "Express Yourself" Oasis suite was home to swag, cocktail soirees and a few live performances, attended by the likes of newlyweds LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, Samantha Ronson, Taylor Momsen, Questlove, Kellan Lutz, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, and hot new band Foster the People.

Samantha Ronson arrested on suspicion of DUI

Cue the record-scratch sound effect: Samantha Ronson has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The disc jockey, former love interest to Lindsay Lohan and sister of Amy Winehouse music producer Mark Ronson, was pulled over after officials said she was speeding outside Baker, Calif., at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Officials said she was given a field sobriety test -- which she didn't exactly pass.

With only her black Porsche as companion, Ronson, 33, refused a voluntary roadside breathalyzer test and was arrested, police said. Officials said she later submitted to a test at a Baker police station, allegedly blowing over the legal limit.

Ronson admitted drinking late Sunday night or early Monday, an officer told Us Weekly. "She went to bed and got up this morning and was on her way home," the officer said. She'd been stopped for going 89 mph in a 70 mph zone, officials said.

Ronson, who was headed back to L.A. from a Las Vegas spinning gig at the Palazzo Hotel's Lavo nightclub, was cooperative with police, according to TMZ.

The Ministry spotted Ronson on Saturday night in good spirits, singing for an acoustic guitar set at the Chateau Marmont for Carrera's Summer Escape event, attended by the likes of Jamie King, Jena Malone, Rumer Willis and Brandi Glanville.

Samantha Ronson in bicycle accident, posts photo of brutal bruises

This just in from the Celebrity DMV: Samantha Ronson posted a battered and bruised photo of herself on her blog after she crashed on her BMX bicycle Saturday while trying to avoid a car on her ride home.

"Wear a helmet kids!!!" she wrote, later tweeting, "Let this be a lesson... if you have a driver's license you probably don't need to be on a bmx bike."  

Ronson, 33, notorious as Lindsay Lohan's on-and-off girlfriend, needed 12 stitches on her eyebrow, lip and forehead after the tumble, the New York Daily News reported.

The photo is pretty brutal, evoking an odd zombie-like vibe because the cuts and bruises are so dramatic. Still, Ronson had a quasi-positive, albeit self-deprecating, attitude about the injuries.

"Just a little uglier than usual. Other than that, Vicodin is handling the rest," she added in response to reply from a follower, throwing a couple of smiley-face emoticons in for good measure.

Lindsay Lohan cheers for Knicks at the Lakers game [pictures]

Lindsay Lohan was photographed courtside Sunday night -- a nice change from all those photos of her in court -- as she attended the Lakers' game against the New York Knicks, sitting with jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad.

Sure, she's been spotted out and about in L.A. since leaving rehab on Jan. 3, but enjoying a courtside ticket from Mouawad is a bit different than making a run to the gym or a doing a friendly dinner out with your ex.

Sunday, she had thousands of eyes on her, instead of just a pack of paparazzi. She's reportedly been discussing plans for a new jewelry line with Mouawad.

Lohan, a Knicks fan who wore a hat declaring her team preference, got a tweet from ex Samantha Ronson during the game in which the DJ noted, "i think the knicks are jet lagged. they're getting sleepy right now -- someone wake em up!!!"

Meanwhile, the actress posted pics of a little something sent over by Kobe Bryant: hats of a different color.

"Kobe sent me #lakers hats coz I'm wearing Knicks," Lohan said.

"I'm from NY!!! Gotta stay loyal!"

That might take some doing -- the Lakers beat the Knicks, 109-87.

Ben Stiller, Ashton Kutcher, Will Ferrell have tweet reading for Haiti

Some of Hollywood's most enthusiastic social media fans -- including Ben Stiller, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Will Ferrell, Rainn Wilson, Mindy Kaling, Samantha Ronson and Diablo Cody -- got together to get their Tweet on Friday night in Hollywood.

At the Upright Citizens Brigade, the organization Artists for Peace and Justice hosted more than 160 people sharing their favorite tweets, twitpics and twitvids, with ticket sales benefiting earthquake victims in Haiti. 

Demi showed her famous dentist visit photo captioned "Keeping it real." Kutcher offered a YouTube clip about the rise of Twitter and other networks called "The New Dork (Entrepreneur State of Mind)," which name-drops him. 

Stiller read his all-time favorite tweet, "On a remote island vacationing, really enjoying dropping off the grid, totally disconnecting from the world."

The comic-heavy crowd wasn't shy with their 140 characters, taking on popular targets like "Precious" actress Gabourey Sidibe and Justin Bieber. 

Writer Cody sported a fake baby bump and, with a grimace, admitted "@justinbieber, you're the father." 

"Christian Bale lost 80 pounds to play 'The Machinist,' " noted Justin Long. "Big deal. Gabourey Sidibe lost 300 to play Precious."

Rich Sommer, from AMC's "Mad Men," stood and delivered his tweet completely in the nude -- the tweet not so coincidentally pertaining to a bad dream about speaking before a crowd in his birthday suit. 

The reading was taped for future sale on iTunes and also featured live readings from "The Hangover" star Ed Helms; comedians Michael Ian Black, Jenny McCarthy and Dane Cook; "Lost" creator Damon Lindelof; Mary Lynn Rajskub, John Cho, Nia Vardalos, Dave Foley, Lake Bell, Busy Phillips, Al Yankovic, Wilmer Valderrama and MTV VJ Dave Holmes. 

Rob Corddry, Questlove of the Roots and nerd pin-up Olivia Munn all sent twitvids in their absence.

She is apparently 26; he is 49.

Honestly, I have no idea why people say the Internets are poisoning our brains and wasting away our fine nation. Those people obviously have never enjoyed a decent celebrity Twitter war.

They have never watched Lindsay Lohan air every detail of her spats with Sam Ronson, or observed Ashton Kutcher publicly debone a neighbor for daring to remodel a house, or decoded WHATEVER IT IS THAT KIRSTIE ALLEY IS RAGING ABOUT IN ALL CAPS.

If there’s one beautiful thing that the new millennium has brought to Hollywood, it’s a kind of delicious communications chaos. Publicists no longer have the power they once wielded over when and how a star would say stuff, and Twitter is ground zero for that Tinseltown Ragnarok. John Mayer directly spatting with Perez Hilton over a street fight involving the Black Eyed Peas? Merry Christmas in June!

The latest example of social media bread and circuses: Kevin Smith waging a siege worthy of Caesar against religious zealot Megan Phelps-Roper, granddaughter of the Rev. Fred Phelps. Smith’s allies: comedic actors Rainn Wilson and Michael Ian Black, who also tweeted against the anti-gay bigot.

With friends and family like these, it's amazing that Lindsay Lohan is doing as well as she is.

Audio tapes that Lindsay's dad Michael Lohan provided to RadarOnline.com -- featuring Lindsay, Michael, mom Dina Lohan and assistant Jenni Munro -- are chock-full of drama, drama, drama.

It's hard to make sense of the out-of-context conversations, some of which are only one-sided. (And we know from experience that conversations fueled by emotion are rarely 100% accurate.)

Addiction! Money! Samantha Ronson! Heath Ledger! Look at the people around her! She's cutting! She lies! She wants to see her dad! No she doesn't! Yes she does! No she doesn't! It's bad! It's urgent! It's an emergency! It's all out of context, without time elements! 

We got stressed out just listening to the stuff. Can you imagine living in the center of that chaos?

"I admit, I'm being a bit selfish in releasing the tapes," Michael Lohan told RadarOnline. "But I'm tired of being lied about."

Who the heck tapes their own phone calls? Or phone calls with their own child? Can we loan Lindsay our  mom and dad for a week or two so she can experience parents?

Meanwhile, Lindsay is ticked off about the recordings being released, telling Gossip Cop exclusively that instead of selling stories -- there are unconfirmed reports Michael is being compensated -- her dad might try "getting a real job like normal people do."

Our advice? Run, girlfriend.

There must be a place where Lindsay can chill for a while, free of paparazzi, parasites and parents.
