Bill Maher: Rush Limbaugh shouldn't be telling 'fat' jokes

Bill Maher and Arianna Huffington Bill Maher thinks Rush Limbaugh should reserve his thoughts on the first lady's weight -- as he literally has no room to talk, according to the "Real Time" host.

"That's too easy," Maher told the Ministry regarding recent comments Limbaugh made about Michelle Obama's size, "because Rush is fat."

Maher breezed through West Hollywood's Roxy Theater on Wednesday night to help his pal Arianna Huffington celebrate her website's comedy section.

Excited funnymen like "Mr. Sunshine" actor Matthew Perry tried to grab their five minutes with Maher, while Huffington greeted friends and supporters (with some of her newly acquired AOL partners in the house).

We were curious, given his affinity for Huffington and her site, can we expect the Maher Post any time soon?

"I'm happy blogging for her," he said.

Sounds as if Elton John had an OK time at Rush Limbaugh's wedding

With all the speculation about why Elton John performed at Rush Limbaugh's wedding Saturday night, it was interesting to come across Mediaite reporting obervations from an actual guest, Megyn Kelly of Fox News.

"Tolerance and respect were on display at the wedding," Kelly said, pointing out that the hosts on "The View" didn't behave the same way Monday morning when they kaffeeklatsched about John's decision.

Among other things, "The View" gals made the point that John is married, which in fact he is not, as the Ministry learned a bit too late. Others who've not listened to Limbaugh may have also learned a bit too late that the guy's never pretended to be a member of the Christian right.

"This is a problem that we're experiencing through society right now, is people only want to be with 'like,' " Elisabeth Hasselbeck said. " 'OK, so, you think like me, you hang with me; you don't think like me, you don't hang with me' -- that's an issue -- why is that such a bad thing?"

Joy Behar was quick to explain to Hasselbeck that the only reason John performed for Limbaugh, and for $1 million, was because the singer, like so many others she notices anymore, is greedy.

Wedding-guest Kelly's observations: "Elton John actually had nothing but nice things to say about Rush Limbaugh and the happy couple, and said he's all about tearing down walls and building bridges." He even invited the newlyweds to join him and David Furnish at their home, she said.

Irony: Limbaugh, who's had cochlear implants since 2001, has said he can't really "hear" any music he didn't experience before he became deaf. One can hope Elton played some of those classics, out of respect for the groom.

Rush Limbaugh gets married, and Elton John is the wedding singer [poll] [updated]

Elton-rush-web Rush Limbaugh got married on Saturday night to Kathryn Rogers in Palm Beach, Fla., complete with 400 guests, no media, a high-flying shout-out from the folks at Gawker and music by Elton John.

Among the folks trading the worlds of politics and political commentary for the Ponce de Leon ballroom at the Breakers hotel: Karl Rove, Sean Hannity, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, James Carville and Mary Matalin.

Elton has been slammed by some over saying yes to Rush's offer -- the civil-partnered gay man who reportedly kept the hotel staff hopping is said to have hauled in a million bucks for his night's work at Limbaugh's fourth such celebration of nuptials. But before you clutch your pearls in shock ...

Rush Limbaugh reportedly taken to Hawaii hospital with chest pains [Updated]

Rush A Honolulu television station, KITV, is reporting that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains.

The station reported Wednesday that paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. (that's 4:41 p.m. Pacific time) from the Kahala Hotel and Resort, where Limbaugh is vacationing.

The station, citing unnamed sources, said paramedics treated Limbaugh and took him to the Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

[Updated at 10:42 p.m.: Limbaugh's radio show said in a statement that Rush is resting comfortably at a Honolulu hospital, where he was taken with chest pains. H.R. Kit Carson, the EIB Network's "chief of staff," said his boss is on a vacation that started Dec. 23 and will run through Jan. 4.

Updates can be heard on Thursday's radio program and can be found at Rush's website.

No word, however, on whether there was a stack of stuff at his bedside.]

TMZ has confirmed that paramedics did go to the hotel at that time, though the patient with "chest discomfort" was not identified.

Queen's spokesman N. Makana Shook says the hospital is unable to comment on the report, according to the Associated Press.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
