'Octomom' Nadya Suleman facing eviction -- for real this time?

Octomom Nadya Suleman with a bunch of her kids

"Octomom" Nadya Suleman and her 14 kids might finally be evicted from their La Habra home this week, if mortgage holder Amer Haddadin follows through to end a situation he's called a "nightmare."

"I think they have money, but they are hiding the money," Haddadin said, referring to Suleman and her attorney, Jeff Czech. Papers were served Dec. 2, Haddadin said, and he's drawn the line at Friday.

Octomom Nadya Suleman's yard sale Though Suleman has been making monthly payments of about $4,000, according to Czech, a $450,000 balloon payment on the mortgage has gone unpaid since its Oct. 9 due date -- which was an extension from the original May deadline.

"She doesn't own the house even if she has the deed," Haddadin told the Orange County Register. "The loan is in my name. She cannot ruin my credibility for this mess." Her father purchased the four-bedroom home in early 2009 for $565,000, including a $130,000 down payment.

Suleman has had offers in the past year to do porn and a fetish video to earn money toward the balloon payment. She took PETA up on its $5,000 offer in May, and made $2,600 at a yard sale in September that drew so much attention the street had to be shut down.

The octuplets were born on Jan. 26, 2009, joining Suleman's other six children. Her fertility doctor, facing allegations of gross negligence regarding Suleman and two other patients, including the charge that he experimented on patients without getting their informed consent, is fighting to keep his medical license.

Bristol Palin buys a 5-bedroom house in Arizona

Bristol-palin-buys-a-houseBristol Palin has danced into the ranks of homeownership, buying a five-bedroom, 3,900-square-foot house in Maricopa, Ariz., south of Phoenix, for $172,000.

The house, built and sold in 2006 for almost $330,000, went into foreclosure in January, the Arizona Republic reports. Palin, 20, bought it this month from intermediary owners who'd picked up the property as an investment for a little over $137,000.

Bristol finished third on the most recent cycle of "Dancing With the Stars" behind winner Jennifer Grey and runner-up Kyle Massey. A beginning dancer, she was buoyed for weeks by fan support, inspiring many people to finally learn how the voting on that show works.

She has an Arizona connection through her mom, Sarah Palin, who was selected by Arizona Sen. John McCain as his running mate in the 2008 presidential campaign. It's not clear whether the home will be her full-time residence, or just a place that's warmer than Alaska.

In one "DWTS" segment, she told partner Mark Ballas during a visit to Alaska that she preferred her home state to Los Angeles.

Neil Patrick Harris is a new dad on the move -- literally

Neil Patrick Harris does Angry Birds

Oh, to have Neil Patrick Harris' multi-tasking skills. The triple-threat star and new dad is managing a lot of work and family life at the moment, including his hosting gig Saturday at the eighth annual Spike TV Video Game Awards.

Word backstage at the show, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, was that Harris is wrapping up "How I Met Your Mother" duties, managing his 2-month-old babies with partner David Burtka, and moving to a new home in Los Angeles.

"Neil is so good that we really don't worry about anything," Spike TV's live events producer Casey Patterson said. "This is his third show, he's a total pro."

Harris previously vacated a bachelor pad in Studio City in 2007, moving into a $1.5-million Sherman Oaks home. Details on his newer new place are scarce, but we imagine he and Burtka need space for their little ones to roam.

Other celebs on hand for the show included Olivia Munn, "Thor" cutie Chris Hemsworth, actor Danny DeVito, lovebirds Rick Fox and Eliza Dushku, and Charlie Sheen's ex Denise Richards.

Ryan Phillippe selling gym for $7.2 million (with a sweet bachelor pad attached)

Ryan-phillippe Bless the heart beating just north of Ryan Phillippe's six-pack — the actor really has made the gratuitous beefcake a priority, as evidenced by the listing of his Hollywood Hills bachelor pad.

Phillippe purchased the spot in 2008 after his divorce from Reese Witherspoon. A single actor's dream, the pad boasts some serious outdoor play space of the adult variety, some indoor play space for his and Witherspoon's kids, and naturally a gym to die for.

That explains a lot.

Phillippe has a two-story fitness center built into the master suite, which offers panoramic views of Los Angeles, and there is a swimming pool and screening room. He's asking a humble $7.175 million for the place, and you can check out photos here.

Any buyers out there?

Michael Jackson's last home is for sale [poll]

Michael-jackson-mansion

Relax -- you don't need $30 million to buy a one-of-a-kind piece of Michael Jackson history.

The singer's last home could be yours for a mere $28,995,000 -- that's the asking price on the Holmby Hills mansion Jackson was renting for $100,000 a month at the time of his death. (No word on whether there's a rent-to-own option -- at the rate Jackson was paying, you could own the place free and clear in about 24 years; well, interest-free, anyway.)

What does a person get for that price? More than 17,000 square feet of living space, for starters (Hot Property columnist Lauren Beale has more details).

Alas, only one swimming pool, but the tourists who drive by and gawk are included free of charge.

Would you want to live there? Vote in our poll, after the break.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt buy $40-million Italian villa

Jolie-and-pitt

Life is dolce for Angelina Jolie and Brad PItt, as the pair have purchased a roughly $40-million Italian villa, according to a new report.

The 15-bedroom estate -- in Valpolicella, in the province of Verona, where "Romeo and Juliet" was set -- counts among its features a screening room, two pools, several Jacuzzis and a home gym.

"Mr. Pitt and Ms. Jolie saw it for 10 minutes and they said yes," Alexander Proto, a consultant for the property, told E! News.

"They were very determined. We are very pleased [to] have worked with them … no problems, very nice, very competent, ideal customers."

George Clooney didn't buy girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis an Italian island -- yeah, right! [Updated]

Clooney canalis Normally we don't repeat stories that are flat-out wrong -- unless, of course, they fulfill some sort of dreamy celebrity fantasy we have, and we think it'd be really cool if they were true.

Which is why we'd like to make it quite clear that George Clooney did NOT buy girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis an island off Italy's Lake Como, no matter what OK! magazine reported.  Not, no, didn't, nuh-uh. We thank Gossip Cop for doing the legwork so that we can run this nice pic of the couple together in the rain on the Golden Globes red carpet.

[Updated at 6:53 p.m.: Clooney stepped up this afternoon to say that he is not selling his house. So read the rest of this post knowing that we find ourselves, as he put it (and as we hinted at), at the "end of another riveting day of false news."]

The Times Online, however, is reporting that George is selling his Lake Como villa, with David and Victoria Beckham supposedly expressing interest. Or maybe they just really enjoyed visiting there last year? And even though folks are repeating an Italian newspaper's report that a Russian vodka magnate is also interested, his spokesman told the Times Online that the boss has never even seen the property, and never sent "agents" to investigate its purchase. Drat! Why did we study Spanish and not Italian?

Want to sit pretty like Jennifer Aniston in Architectural Digest? Get in line.

Jennifer Aniston coverJennifer Aniston has always been a trendsetter.

There was the frenzy over her "Friends" haircut, and her exquisite taste in bachelors -- but this time her creature comforts are what's getting celebrity and design fans interested.

The recent Architectural Digest cover girl's Stephen Shadley-designed home in Beverly Hills is stocked with luxe treats including a pizza oven, a wine room lined in stone and a grand walnut dining table.

Her cover shot, however, features a comfy-looking chair from New York's Lobel Modern. Interest in the seats spiked since the "Love Happens" actress began lounging in one on newsstands nationwide.

The chairs, circa 1970, currently sit in Aniston's piano room.

"They are grand in scale and comfortable. And glamorous just like Jennifer," Evan Lobel tells me via e-mail.

Married life for Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone: their home, habits and matching rings

Lorenzo and marcThough garment is usually Topic A at New York Fashion Week, the hemlines or Band of Outsiders' Boy Scout chic may not be the most exciting part for some. Instead, it's the New York Magazine profile of Lorenzo Martone, the tall, dark husband of fashion superstar Marc Jacobs

For months, rumors circulated that the engaged pair had tied the knot -- met by outright denials or tight lips from the couple. Then, over the New Year, photos of the style guys surfaced from St. Barth's, decked out in white and posing with a layer cake topped with mini-replicas of themselves.

Where on earth would anyone get the idea they were married!?

The magazine quotes Martone, a fashion publicist, as saying the tropical celebration was an "intimate ceremony." Confirmation much? Check out some fun facts from the story about the lives of "Fashion's First Husband" Martone and ubiquitous thread maker Jacobs:

A Boy's Best Friend: Though the family business is schmatas, these boys love bling. They sport matching pink gold rings from Boucheron, with bears engraved inside the bands ("We call each other bears because of our facial hair and all that," Martone said). Also, Lorenzo rocks diamonds on a Chanel timepiece and a ring of emerald-cut stones from Jacobs....

Jennifer Aniston talks her dream house to Architectural Digest

Jen aniston two2

Jennifer Aniston plays cover girl to March's Architectural Digest, and while all the fuss seems to be about her Brad Pitt-free bathroom, I've uncovered some interesting design aspects about her remodeled digs, and her intentions in executing them.

Writer Cynthia McFadden speaks with the actress about the roughly 2 1/2-year project, led by designer Stephen Shadley.

"I am so proud of this house," Aniston said, "and I want to celebrate the people who made it: the master craftsmen who poured so much of themselves into its creation."

The "Friends" star first came across the home in the middle of renovation, and waited seven months until the owners agreed to sell, never doubting "the house would be mine one day."

She's named the abode "Ohana," based on the Hawaiian concept of extended family. It features 14-foot doors at the entry, leading to a travertine bridge over a koi pond and a spectacular Murano glass chandelier in its main hall.

Nodding to her green side, the majority of wood in the home was cut from fallen trees, and the roof features sizable solar panels. Entertaining is Aniston's niche, however, and the revamped pad can certainly accommodate that...
