Jennifer Aniston's first tattoo honors late pooch Norman

Jennifer Aniston has a new tattoo -- her first. Jennifer Aniston elected to get something permanent to pay tribute to the man in her life for 15 years: Norman, her Welsh corgi-terrier mix, who died only weeks ago.

Norman's name is now tattooed in script on the inside of her right foot, in what is Aniston's first tattoo.

Norman was a faithful companion to the "Horrible Bosses" actress on film sets and at home in Los Angeles. In May, her rep confirmed the pup had passed.

"I never thought that would ever happen," Aniston said in an interview with ET Canada. "It's just my way to pay homage to him ... forever."

The tat is visible in a new photo.

One comforting factor is Justin Theroux, the new boyfriend she's been wining and dining with around New York City. Theroux, also an actor, even accompanied the star at her recent appearance on Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio."

While Aniston is notoriously mum when it comes to her personal life, she indicated Monday that she's fortunate to have found Theroux.

"I'm very happy," she said on "Good Morning America."

"I'm extremely lucky, and I'm extremely happy."

Kelly Osbourne puts Pomeranian pup Noodles to sleep

Kelly Osbourne puts dog Noodles to sleep

Kelly Osbourne has parted with another pup, putting down her Pomeranian Noodles this week for health reasons.

"[N]oodles is not going to make it. she was born with a brain defect and i have to put her to sleep today im devastated," the reality TV starlet and recent "RuPaul's Drag Race" judge said Wednesday on Twitter. "i just cant believe it."

Osbourne had taken Noodles, nickname Noody Bear, to a specialist on Tuesday after the Pom suffered a seizure. A scan revealed swelling of the dog's brain, she said later on Twitter.

Noodles was adopted in March, joining Osbourne's almost identical black Pom named Sid. After her rough split from fiance Luke Worrall last July, she'd come home from a Las Vegas trip only to learn that Woody, her then-recently acquired Pomeranian, had died.

Noodles "was not in peace her brain was swelling in her head," Osbourne told a curious fan Wednesday on Twitter. "I DON'T PLAY GOD! it was an unfortunate necessary!"

Incidentally, that curious fan, @SherryMimy, reacted Thursday after learning her exchange with Osbourne had gotten some traction online: "I can't believe I was mentioned in a website regarding a celeb !!!!! I don't know how I should feel about that." Dealing with feedback in the often-odd world of Twitter, she'd later explained the tone of her query to Osbourne, writing, "what I said was not supposed to b mean and ms. Osbourne understood that."

Indeed, after @MissKellyO's reply, @SherryMimy had expressed sympathy, saying she hoped someone was there to comfort Kelly.

Martha Stewart head-butted to the hospital by her dog

Martha Stewart head butted by French bulldog Franceca Martha Stewart wound up in the hospital Tuesday night with a split lip requiring plastic surgery, courtesy of a head-butt from her dog Francesca that came as the domestic diva was whispering goodbye to the dozing French bulldog.

"I must have startled her," Stewart wrote Thursday, "because she bolted upright with such force that she hit me in the face like a boxing glove hitting an opponent's face."

Like many people these days, she blogged about her experience, including pics from the hospital visit. Unlike many people, her blog post included references to having just returned from Cartagena, Colombia, and calling the police "to ask for a ride to the hospital, forgetting that Carlos, my driver was waiting to drive me into the city." (She was heading into Manhattan from her Westchester, N.Y., home the night before TV appearances scheduled for the Wednesday morning.)

"The cut was through the skin and through the muscle of the lip," plastic surgeon Dr. William Nolan told People, "so it wasn't just a little, itty-bitty cut." Stewart's wound required nine stitches.

Hey, if Martha's going to do something, she's going to do it right, yes?

'Biggest Loser' host Alison Sweeney gets her dog into the weight-loss game

"The Biggest Loser" host Alison Sweeney and her dog Winky As "The Biggest Loser" gets set to crown another winner Tuesday night, host Alison Sweeney has her eye on helping a different group shed the pounds.

Conveniently, this group — dogs — is used to shedding in general.

Sweeney, hardly the biggest control freak on "The Biggest Loser," got acquainted with canine calorie control after learning one of her dogs was obese. The "Days of our Lives" star has two rescue dogs, a Chihuahua named Jorge and a one-eyed Boston Terrier named Winky.

The vet said Winky, who'd gotten in the habit of eating food from both dogs' bowls, needed to drop 3 or 4 pounds to get back to a healthy weight of around 20 pounds — and dropping 4 pounds is a lot tougher than it sounds when it's 20% of your body weight.

"It's like how we overfeed children," said the mother of two, who hustled her oldest child off to school while chatting with the Ministry. In general, she said, "It comes from love, from caring, from wanting to make them safe and comfortable — to let them know we love them." Problem is, for a dog Winky's size, eating an ounce of cheese is like a human snacking on a hamburger and a half.

Once Fido's fat, however, "You realize that your way to show them your love is by controlling their food."

And Charo. Si, Charo.

The refugee from "Laugh In," "The Love Boat" and other TV shows of the '70s resurfaced last year in "The Surreal Life," and she's been busy nudging Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero to ban bullfighting. The anti-bullfighting forces claimed their first headline-making victory a month ago, when Barcelona banned it.

Kristen Stewart and her new hair talk wolf dogs with David Letterman

Kristen Stewart's new hairstyle at the Twilight Eclipse New York premiere. Kristen Stewart swung by David Letterman's show Monday, sporting a flirty, lighter-colored 'do and expressing an affection for wolves.

OK, wolf dogs. The hybrid kind. The kind that are legal for her mom to keep as pets, she assured Letterman -- who kept pressing.

And pressing.

"Whattya tryin' to do to me, man?" an animated Stewart joked to her host, "seriously, c'mon!?"

According to the actress -- whose most recent film, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," premiered Thursday -- the pack is her mom's way of coping with a bit of empty nest syndrome.

"She's awesome," Stewart said of her mother. "She's just a little funny."

Who'd've thunk it ...

-- Christie D'Zurilla

P.S. Ownership of first-generation wolf hybrids is prohibited in California; second-generation and beyond is fine.

John Travolta's dogs killed in accident at Maine airport

Travolta-autographs-web

File this under the saddest story of the day: Two small dogs belonging to John Travolta were killed in an accident in the wee hours Thursday morning at Bangor International Airport in Maine.

It seems that a plane carrying Travolta family members touched down on the runway around 1 a.m. and while the pups were being walked, the driver of an airport service vehicle didn't see the pets and accidentally hit them. That according to Gossip Cop, which has a few more details. According to a release from the city, the airport is investigating what happened.

Bummer.
