Adam Levine, Seth MacFarlane help Brent Bolthouse celebrate his 40th birthday

Bolt While most of the world met Brent Bolthouse as Heidi Montag's boss in her pre-surgery and pre-Spencer days on "The Hills," the night-life denizen has been producing events and branded venues in Los Angeles since 1989.

Celeb pals and social types hit Hollywood on Thursday night to ring in his 40th birthday with cocktails and several impromptu musical performances.

The former Lingerie Club on Sunset Boulevard, with its stripped ceilings and warehouse chic, reopened for one night in honor of Brent -- also welcoming actor Dylan McDermott, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane and producer Brett Ratner.

Musical guests included Maroon 5's Adam Levine, who belted out the Guns N' Roses hit "Paradise City"; super producer Linda Perry; and Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd, who officiated with "Happy Birthday" while rocking a serious handlebar mustache.

The stunt vocalists were backed by Camp Freddy, the not-really-a-band that features rotating talent such as Dave Navarro and Travis Barker

'The Hills' cast mingles with 'The City' at wrap party in NYC

Audrina & lo Although they shoot in the City of Angels, that cast of MTV's "The Hills" chose Gotham for the site of their wrap party last night--celebrating the end of their fifth season at hot spot SL (Simyone Lounge).

Stars Kirstin Cavalleri, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Lo Bosworth enjoyed Svedka cocktails and schmoozed with MTV exec Tony Disanto and club owners Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm.

Their East Coast counterparts were present as well, with Whitney Port and other gals from "The City" in attendance, including Roxy Olin and Erin Lucas.

Absent from the festivities was the Family Pratt--patriarch Spencer, his bride Heidi and sister Stephanie.

We hope they poured out a bit of bubbly for the missing Pratts, and of course Cavallari's predecessor Lauren Conrad.

Party boy Levi Johnston is loving life in Hollywood

Levigw Perhaps Levi Johnston refused to show his full monty in Playgirl because he's saving it for the big screen?

One would think he's campaigning hard for a spot in Hollywood, the way he's been making the social rounds.

Johnston hit up two talent-packed bashes in Los Angeles on Thursday night -- starting with US Magazine's annual Hot 100 event, where two security guards (Two? Really?) ushered him around amid the likes of Adam Lambert, Audrina Patridge, Leona Lewis and Whitney Port.

From there, Sarah Palin's almost-son-in-law swung by Chateau Marmont for GQ's Men of the Year party, where Editor in Chief Jim Moore welcomed the centerfold alongside A-list guests including Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Tom Ford, Kobe Bryant, January Jones, Lindsay Lohan and Seth MacFarlane, many sipping Grey Goose and schmoozing.

From Iditarod tailgating to rubbing elbows with Dirty Harry? We'd save our goodies for on-screen stardom as well.

Adam Lambert says he knows nothing about love

Adam The accolades keep rolling in for guylined "it" boy Adam Lambert.

After a star-making turn as runner-up on "American Idol" and with his freshman album seconds away from dropping, Lambert scored a position on Out Magazine's list of the 100 most influential LGBT folks of 2009.

In the glossy's sit-down with Glammy, he confessed that he doesn't have much of a hold on affairs of the heart.

"I’ve only been in love twice,” said Lambert. “I have a lot of life experience, but I don’t know [anything] about love.”

Lambert recently split with his interior designer beau Drake LaBry, and it seems like he's not looking to launch into a new relationship any time soon -- the singer was spotted Sunday night at Bardot Hollywood, where he, his manager and some pals took in managing partner Jason Scoppa's funk and soul night Payback.

We wish Lambert studded leather and sweet dreams until a rebound comes along.
