For Lily Allen, it's a baby girl with Sam Cooper

British pop star Lily Allen on Friday welcomed a baby girl, her daughter with husband Sam Cooper.

The baby news came courtesy of the Daily Mail, confirmed by friends of the couple who sent their congrats online. Allen's only comment online Friday? "Totes amaze," she tweeted.

The birth is extra-special for the singer -- who's Lily Rose Cooper now on Twitter -- after she and Cooper lost a baby boy last November, when she was six months along. A viral infection was to blame, according to People. Lily and Sam, a painter and decorator, married in June.

Allen had also miscarried in 2008, when she was dating musician Ed Simons.

Though her rep had no comment for the Mail, the paper noted this tweet from Sam Chew, her DJ, friend and onetime boyfriend: "sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper......YES."

In addition to being hilarious, Mini Cooper is currently the closest thing to a name for Lily's baby. The real one has yet to be announced.

Lily Allen and Sam Cooper tie the knot

Lily Allen and Sam Cooper tied the knot Saturday in the romantic English countryside.

The intimate nuptials, with fewer than 100 guests, were held at St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire. Dad Keith Allen gave the pop singer away, reports the Telegraph.

Lily, 26, glowed (pregnancy rumors are already starting) in a French designer gown by Delphine Manivet, featuring lace sleeves and a fishtail skirt (click the photo to the right to see a larger image of the dress). As she left the church in Cranham village, she carried a bouquet of white roses, People said.

The singer has been busy tweeting about her big day too, telling one friend Wednesday, "I'm GREAT, I'm getting MARRIED EEEEEK !!!!!"

An unnamed wedding guest leaked Allen's wedding plans to the media in March and even provided a copy of the save-the-date card. Despite the privacy breach, the couple went ahead with their plans.

Lily's new hubby Sam is a decorator and business owner. He proposed to the songstress on Christmas day last year, giving the couple a reason to celebrate after recent heartbreak.

Lily Allen reportedly engaged to boyfriend Sam Cooper

Lily Allen got engaged to boyfriend Sam Cooper in Bali on Christmas, according to a couple of British media reports.

"Lily was telling everyone that she and Sam had just got engaged," said an onlooker in the bar at the resort where the couple were celebrating, speaking to the Daily Mail. "They could not keep the smiles off their faces. It couldn’t have been more romantic."

The British singer, 25, has been vacationing in Australia and Indonesia with Cooper, a 32-year-old builder, in the wake of an early November miscarriage, her second.

"He's been her rock for her since the couple lost their baby and she can't wait to spend the rest of her life with him," a source told the Sun. Friends for years, the two have been dating since July 2009, the paper said. Allen battled a blood infection after losing their baby.

Allen's rep has not confirmed the Mail report, and the singer hasn't said anything on Twitter about her relationship status -- though she offered congratulations to England for holding on to the Ashes cricket title "on Aussie soil."

(Hugh Jackman was sort of congratulated by onlookers as he took a shot to the groin Sunday at the Ashes, incidentally.)

Lily Allen recovering from blood poisoning after miscarriage

There's a hint of a silver lining for Lily Allen's recent personal storm -- the British singer is reportedly recovering from potentially fatal blood poisoning on the heels of losing her pregnancy.

Allen was diagnosed over the weekend with septicemia, a bacterial condition that accounts for tens of thousands of fatalities per year.

"[Lily] is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve," her rep Murray Chalmers told People magazine.

Allen "thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers," he said.

Her hospital stint directly follows the loss of her and Cooper's expected child; Allen had been about six months pregnant.

The report indicates Allen has responded significantly to the outpouring of fan correspondence.

Sad news came Monday morning from representatives for singer Lily Allen, confirming that she had miscarried for a second time.

"It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby," the rep told People.

"The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time."

News that Allen and boyfriend Cooper were expecting came in August, with the "Smile" singer due this January. Almost three years ago, Allen suffered a miscarriage while dating Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers.

Lily's creation consisted of four travel cases (just like the ones she uses on the road), that serve as full standing Goose bar, coffee table loaded with media such as a record player, and two lush hunter benches.

The installation, titled "Lil Box of Tracks," fetched $160,000 in an auction benefiting Sir Elton's AIDS charity.
