PREACH IT! Levi Johnston will not leave you alone until he is on TV [poll]

Levi-and-brittani Poor Levi Johnston -- forced to pose for Playgirl, run for mayor and shoot obscure music videos just to support his sad bid for celebrity status new baby. Now Johnston has turned his sights on reality TV stardom -- you know, on account of how he needs to buy diapers for his baby, what’s-his-name.

Johnston has even scored a producer, who has a name for the new project. It’s called "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office." Now all Johnston’s got to do is find one of them networks with them rabbit ears big enough to put it out on all the TEE vees.

Said networks, however, aren’t exactly arranging helicopter-wolf-hunting parties in Johnston’s honor. Reuters, for one, is reporting that networks are far from thrilled. ("I'm just incredibly uninterested," one network's executive in charge of unscripted programing told the news outlet.)

But we might end up seeing Johnston’s reality show nonetheless. Yes, the current batch of network execs remains largely underwhelmed, but producers like Johnston very much, Preach It! is told. And producers know that there are plenty of outlets other than networks for a person like Johnston -- online, for example.

"Levi is a nice option demographically; he offers good name recognition and was a member of a family that has an almost sitcom quality to it," says reality producer Lewis Fenton of Juma Entertainment, which recently produced "The Ultimate Merger," starring "Celebrity Apprentice" villain Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth. "Think about the Palins. Dad races snowmobiles, mom is an opinionated, camera-loving ex-beauty queen/conservative icon with a baby in her arms, and the whole gang has this relatable Middle America vibe."

Johnston’s one big problem? Surprisingly, it is not the fact that he is Levi Johnston. It’s his current dating situation, or lack thereof.

"Levi’s fatal downfall is that he seems to be failing in his attempts to actually join this family," Fenton dishes. "Without the Palins as in-laws, Levi might not have enough going on to carry a show."

In other words, for a guy who so desperately wants to be famous, er, feed his kid, he sure knows how to alienate the one group of people who could help him the most.

So, what are the chances that he romances Bristol Palin again?

Actually, scratch that. Here’s a better question:

Sandra Bullock back on board with the 'Be the One' Gulf Coast restoration campaign

Betty-and-bullock Sandra Bullock is back on the "Be the One" team again, endorsing the message in a celebrity-laden video produced by Women of the Storm that urges people to sign a petition supporting a fully funded and sustainable plan for Gulf Coast restoration.

"We are happy that Ms. Bullock has reviewed the facts of the restorethegulf.com campaign,” Anne Milling, WOTS founder, said Wednesday. "She and the other celebrities have been instrumental in rallying national support for restoration of our beaches, wetlands and Gulf Coast environment."

Bullock pulled out of the project about 10 days in, pending a review of facts, after a blog that had tasked itself with "clearing the PR pollution that clouds climate science" followed a trail of logos ...

Hollywood officially runs out of ideas for what to do with Levi Johnston — so why not make him a politician?

Levi-johnston OK, wait -- this is which sign of the Apocalypse?

Levi Johnston and some of his newest Hollywood BFFs are shopping a reality TV show, "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office," which will feature Johnston as he raises his son Tripp and, you know, seeks elected office in Wasilla, Alaska.

The office of mayor, actually.

(Anything here sounding familiar? Get it? Get it? Yeah, that's the joke! It's like totally almost as good as the concept for "Survivor" or "Mad Men" or "The Cosby Show" or even, you know, "M*A*S*H"!)

We envision potential audiences tuning in by the tens or even the dozens — perhaps even scores of people would watch! And we hope that if that were to happen, some nice person would promptly explain to Levi what a "score" is, when the subject is not hockey or Bristol Palin.

The production company's description of the show comes via Variety: "He will give us a real inside look into who he is as a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker and his journey down the road of small-town politics ... right after he gets his high school diploma."

We imagine it'll be no biggie to Levi's "fellow Wasillians" (the production company's words, not ours); after all, the kid's famous and stuff — how hard could it be to run a small town, anyway?

If there were ever a time for a facepalm, it's now. Agree, or disagree? Please share your thoughts, in comments and vote for the appropriate network in our poll, right after the break.

Selena Gomez, 'Glee' and 'Vampire Diaries' represent for their fans at the Teen Choice Awards [video] [Updated]

Selena-gomez At the Teen Choice Awards, we thought we'd encounter the biggest and brightest stars in the teen stratosphere. Instead, we got Levi Johnston.

At the awards show, filmed Sunday at the Gibson Amphitheatre to air Monday evening, we got only a glimpse of some of the most in-demand tweens.

Kevin McHale at the Teen Choice Awards "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner stayed far away from the blue carpet. Zac Efron was there to present an award but left right afterward (Maybe so he could catch his girlfriend's curtain call for "Rent" over at the Hollywood Bowl?) And Justin Bieber appeared on the broadcast only via satellite.

But one popular star who did make time for the demographic comprising the majority of her fan base was Selena Gomez, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" actress who recently had her big-screen debut in "Ramona and Beezus." Oh, and she's also got a new single out, "Round and Round."

The craziness of her summer schedule took its toll on the 18-year-old, whose doctor recently placed her on vocal rest, forcing her to cancel some of her tour dates.

"I was completely devastated," Gomez said Sunday. "I told the doctors, 'Give me something, I need to do these shows.' Because I hadn't done any shows in a while, so it was really hard."

Also on the carpet? A handful of television stars, whom we pressed about some fall-season rumors. For one: Was "Glee" star Lea Michele wearing a bright yellow sports bra and maroon track pants on set recently for the upcoming episode devoted to Britney Spears?

[For the record, 11:44 p.m.: In an earlier version of this post, Lea Michele's last name was misspelled as Michelle.]

"She was just coming out of her house," smiled costar Harry Shum. "She just wanted to dress up like that. Just go out there and get some coffee. You can't believe all those pictures."

And how about Joshua Jackson? Might he actually re-team with "Dawson's Creek" creator Kevin Williamson and make an appearance on the writer's new show, "The Vampire Diaries?"

"Honestly, somebody else just told me that they heard the rumor that Joshua Jackson might be on the show, and it was news to me," the show's lead actress Nina Dobrev told us. "Although, I think that would be cool and I think he's very talented and wonderful, so I think he'd be a great addition if that were to ever happen. I don't know about it."

Things that are also still unclear? Why Levi Johnston -- who recently got re-engaged to Bristol Palin, only to break up again weeks later -- was at the Teen Choice Awards. Johnston was flanked by a pretty brunet, Brittani Senser, with whom he's filming a music video.

But she's "just a friend," Johnston made clear.

And how are he and the mother of his child doing? "Fine," was all we could get out of the tight-lipped Playgirl model.

The Teen Choice Awards show doesn't air until Monday, but that doesn't mean you have to wait to see the stars — plus Levi Johnston — as they arrived at Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday.

Kevin McHale at the Teen Choice Awards Among those hitting the carpet (blue, mind you, not red): Chace Crawford, Lea Michele, Justin Long, Selena Gomez, Kristen Bell, Channing Tatum, Kim Kardashian, Naya Rivera, Emma Roberts, Micah Sloat, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Hilary Duff and fiance Mike Comrie, and skateboarder Ryan Sheckler.

And though Katy Perry saved her star power for the stage, "Glee" guy cohosts Mark Salling, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and a styled-up Kevin McHale stopped on arrival for the cameras.

Bristol Palin moves back in with Sarah Palin, calls off Levi Johnston engagement

Bristol-levi-split-again They sure can freeze you out fast in Alaska -- take it from Bristol Palin, who, in a matter of hours, called off her engagement to baby daddy Levi Johnston and has reportedly moved back in with her parents, Sarah and Todd Palin.

"It's over. I broke up with him,"  Bristol told People magazine on Monday. "I need a man who's going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time."

The ring is off, and Bristol has already decamped for the Palin compound with the aforementioned Tripp, the couple's 19-month-old son, says TMZ.

Johnston's manager Tank Jones told the outlet he feels the split was caused by "misinformation" -- likely referring to a recent story claiming Johnston impregnated an ex-girlfriend, which both Johnston and the girl in question have denied.

Jones went on to say that, in time, he believes the pair will reconcile. For now, Johnston will continue to co-parent Tripp and keep up with "financial obligations."

Does this seem like it's a misunderstanding, or was this just doomed from the start? Tell us in the comments section below.

Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston are engaged again

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin in 2008 during the Sarah Palin vice presidential campaign Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are engaged again as of two weeks ago, having come back together while working out a custody plan for their 18-month-old son, Tripp, Us Magazine reports exclusively.

The kicker: The two told Us magazine before telling Bristol's parents. Todd and Sarah Palin responded with a statement read on the "Today" show Wednesday:

Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.

Levi apologized to Sarah and Todd Palin on July 6 for "not completely true" statements he made in the wake of his and Bristol's breakup. People magazine had that exclusive.

Bristol described her response to a day three months ago that made a difference for her and Levi -- a day that Levi says featured talking and then a walk: "When he left that night, we didn’t ...

PREACH IT! Celebrities, if you're not blogging your breakup, you are SO 2009

Etheridge-tammy Celebrities are all supposedly very private people. That’s what they love to tell us, anyway, in between interviews about where they like to have sex. Even so, public breakups are rare in Hollywood. While it’s considered more than OK to share the happy days of a relationship, airing the details of the bitter end is considered poor form. Or, rather, it was. Thanks, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. Way to keep it classy.

But, by focusing so much on the scorched-earth tactics of the onetime “winners” of "The Bachelor," we’re missing out on other fine contenders in the public-breakup department. Yes, there’s Mel Gibson, whose leaked abuses to baby mama Oksana Grigorieva fall far beyond the pale of the typical he said-she said. But there’s also Tammy Lynn Michaels, soon-to-be ex of singer Melissa Etheridge, who has taken to blogging about her breakup in free-form verse.

Levi Johnston apologizes to Sarah Palin for 'not completely true' statements [poll]

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Levi Johnston, who famously insinuated awhile back that Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, were on the verge of divorce, has told People exclusively that, shoot, he might've been a little bit angry at the time over his breakup with Bristol Palin and might've engaged in a little bit of, you know, fibbing and stuff.

Which means that all or part of what he said in October 2009 in a clip from "The Early Show," above, may or may not be true.

So, maybe it's not technically "lying" if you're just saying things that are just "not completely true"? That's what Johnston says he was doing. Because he was upset about breaking up with Bristol. Which happened in March 2009.

Must've been a hard breakup to get over, because in an October 2009 interview with "Entertainment Tonight," Johnston was asked if he thought the Palin relationship was headed for divorce -- rumors that a Palin representative denied at the time.

"I'm sure it is. Just like she decided she was going to quit [being the] governor [of Alaska], just was waiting for the right time, they're gonna wait it out. They're gonna be smart, they're do it when the time is right."

That coming after a September 2009 interview with Vanity Fair in which he'd trashed ...

At Human Rights Campaign gala, Kathy Griffin rallies her troops to nuke 'don't ask, don't tell'

Kathy griffin The Ministry may not be good enough with numbers to challenge the czars of Wall Street with our financial savvy, but we can put two and two together. Most of the time. OK, occasionally. And when we spotted Jillian Michaels, "The Biggest Loser's" super-buff Cruella De Vil, at Suze Orman's table during the Human Rights Campaign gala Saturday night, we couldn't help but wonder whether that had something to do with how toned the high priestess of personal finance has been looking lately.

Do you need a better reason to listen to La Suze when she tells you you should move your Jimmy Choo fund into CDs? Don't you deserve to have Michaels come to your house so she can pump you up? All right, pudge muffins, better start saving those shekels.

Nattily dressed guests packed the Century Plaza Hotel's Grand Ballroom to support the Human Rights Campaign -- the country's largest civil rights organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people -- and hear speeches from Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and honorees Kathy Griffin and Portia de Rossi (wife Ellen DeGeneres stayed home so she wouldn't steal her thunder, but mom-in-law Betty DeGeneres showed up to present the award and big hugs).

As Griffin accepted the HRC Ally for Equality Award from old friend Lance Bass, she called out the equality troops to protest the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy with her on Thursday at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. ...
