Paris Hilton faces a felony charge after Las Vegas arrest

Paris Hilton is facing a felony charge for her arrest on suspicion of cocaine possession, according to the police report about the Friday night incident in Las Vegas.

While she waited to see what happened with her boyfriend, Cy Waits -- he was arrested on suspicion of DUI -- she asked police if she could use a restroom at the nearby Wynn, according to the police report. Police agreed, saying in the report that removing her from the crowd that had formed would benefit their investigation.

Hilton was escorted to the Wynn security office bathroom, the report said, and when she went for lip balm in her purse, a bindle that was determined to contain 0.8 gram of cocaine fell out. Also in the purse: credit cards, $1,300 cash and a broken albuterol tablet that Hilton said were her possessions, plus Zig Zag rolling papers and some cosmetics that, along with the cocaine, she said were not hers.

According to TMZ, Hilton is telling people she loaned out the purse recently to a friend, who "probably" put the cocaine there.

Police told the Las Vegas Review Journal that the heiress received no special treatment, saying that because of crowding, about a quarter of suspects with nonviolent records are released on their own recognizance. Hilton spent about three hours in custody, though in isolation, because her celebrity might otherwise have been disruptive, police said.

In Nevada, a category E felony carries with it a sentence of one to four years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000; the court can also grant probation on a first offense.

Paris Hilton was arrested late Friday night on suspicion of possession of cocaine after police noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the SUV she was in on the Las Vegas Strip and pulled the vehicle over, L.A. Now reports.

Cy Waits, Hilton's nightclub-entrepreneur boyfriend, also was with Hilton and was arrested on suspicion of drug-related DUI. Waits is the one who on Tuesday held a knife-wielding man at gunpoint outside Hilton's Sherman Oaks home until police arrived.

A crowd began to form around the arrest in progress after Hilton was recognized, according to Luxe Life. A small amount cocaine was allegedly found in her purse, though TMZ reports she's insisting now that the purse wasn't hers. She was released on her own recognizance after about three hours.

Waits and Hilton took a private jet from L.A. to Vegas on Friday afternoon. They'd been at the XS nightclub at the Encore that night, Luxe Life reports, and were en route to his home in Henderson, Nev., when they were arrested. Waits is an XS managing partner.

We at the Ministry love a good lunch date with a friend, especially when it involves maybe-more-than-friends like Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas.

The pair were spotted Monday in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood, sharing a table for two at crunchy Alcove Cafe. Sitting indoors (the restaurant has lots of outdoor garden seating and a small inside section for added privacy) opposite Jonas, Greene donned sunglasses and toted a huge purse.

Some reports this month said the pair had a first date at a Kings of Leon concert in London, while others claimed the pair were just friends (and that Greene was dating actor Brock Kelly). Whatever their romantic status, a delightful afternoon was had.

"The Bachelor's" defunct fiancée Vienna Girardi showed up to hot spot Tao Beach on Saturday, just a few weeks before she'll host Hypnotiq's Single and Fabulous bash at the venue July 17.

Clearly, her former beloved Jake Pavelka was nowhere to be found, but she managed to rub elbows with other famous folks later at nightspot Lavo. Girardi sat VIP next to a booth containing "Glee" star Mark Salling.

Over at Tao's restaurant, former Victoria's Secret beauty Marisa Miller held court with a group of girlfriends, while "Entourage" actor Rex Lee danced to the sounds of DJ Paul Van Dyk.

Star sightings: Michael Phelps back with Miss California, celebs do Father's Day

Let's face it -- Michael Phelps has a thing for a lady in a sash. Or so it would seem, given his weekend gallivanting with Miss California Nicole Johnson.

The pair, romantically linked in 2008, spent the weekend partying in Las Vegas, starting with dinner at Lavo on Friday. The two wined and dined in the main room, next to a private dining area containing Jamie Foxx, Paris and Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg.

Saturday afternoon was spent poolside at Tao Beach, where the swimmer and Johnson chatted up locals and made use of the waters, with dinner to follow at Tao Bistro that night. Phelps stopped by the nearby table of Chris Mintz-Plasse, known for playing McLovin in "Superbad," who was celebrating his 21st birthday.  

News of their reunion is a bit surprising -- in 2009, Johnson revealed her secret courtship with Phelps but only after it had ended (amicably, allegedly). Perez Hilton cited sources saying the Olympic gold medalist stepped out on Johnson with another Miss California, the disgraced Carrie Prejean.

Kim Kardashian hosts sister Kourtney's 31st birthday in Las Vegas

Kourtney Kardashian got a little playtime in Las Vegas this weekend, as she celebrated turning 31 with sisters Kim and Khloe in tow. 

At MGM's Wet Republic on Saturday, the women partied with locals, sang "Happy Birthday to You" and lounged in their swanky Bombay Sapphire private cabana with raspberry Collins cocktails.

Kourtney recently graced the cover of Life & Style magazine, chatting about how she earned back her pre-baby body back after delivering Mason, now 4 months old.

She said she's limited her caffeine intake to a single shot of espresso per day and cut out sugars.

"I was eating a lot of dried fruit, and I didn't realize how much sugar that added. And now I'll eat raw almonds instead of salted ones," she told the mag.

Her exercise regime is cardio-heavy, with lots of running and squats to keep her booty "up there." 

"Frozen yogurt tastes so chemically to me because I've been eating salads and salmon and chicken," she said of her post-baby cravings.

Star sightings: an 'Ugly Betty' sweet 16; 'Jersey Shore' gets more Muscle

 

The Ministry has intel on all your favorite stars from this weekend, whether it's a very "Ugly Betty" birthday or a "Jersey Shore" gal celebrating her toned bod. 

On Saturday, Mark Indelicato toasted his milestone sweet 16 in New York, with fashion house Yellow Fever hosting his "Betty" costars America Ferrera, Ana Ortiz and Michael Urie at Red Bull's pop-up space. The crew munched on burgers and pizza, posed for photos and hammed it up for a personalized cover of the fictional Mode magazine. DJ Josh Madden pumped tracks for the likes of Judith Light. 

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, "Jersey Shore" guidette J-Woww got down with Muscle Milk for its Spring Break It Down bash at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The tanned one tossed a beach ball and was spotted dancing with an oversized manatee.

"Twilight Saga" star Ashley Greene got very fashionable in the front row at Gucci's fall-winter 2010 runway presentation at Milan Fashion Week. Donning a black shift with blue detail from the spring collection, Greene also carried their coveted new bamboo handbag.

Shifting from Italy to Sin CIty -- Kim Kardashian was spotted in Las Vegas celebrating her eponymous fragrance with her mom, Kris Jenner. Prior to her Nevada stop, Kim was spotted entering L.A.'s Prive salon, looking casual in a Bobi top, getting a touch-up on her tresses.

Over in Hollywood, Carmen Electra did her part to help relief efforts in Haiti. The actress hosted Monster Energy's Music Saves Lives, underscoring the importance of donating blood for those in  the embattled county. 

Also helping out was Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, who launched her own specialty drink at West Hollywood's Millions of Milkshakes -- a creamy concoction called Peanut Better Banana Blend. A portion of proceeds from the shake will benefit Haiti.
