Khloe Kardashian quits PETA, 'disgusted' by flour bombing of Kim

Khloe Kardashian is saying goodbye to PETA after sister Kim's flour bombing

This post has been updated, as indicated below.

Khloe Kardashian is cutting off her support for PETA in the wake of her sister Kim Kardashian's flour bombing at a perfume launch and charity event last week.

"I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise," Khloe wrote Monday on her blog. "Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior."

The woman suspected in the attack, Christina Cho, has a history of conducting fur protests under the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals banner, TMZ said Monday. Michelle Cho, Christina's younger sister and PETA's senior communications manager, went on record in 2009 saying that big sis was an activist for the group "years before" little sis joined.

Christina Cho was detained by security but released at the scene, and Kim Kardashian told sheriff's officials at the time that she was not interested in filing a complaint. A PETA spokesperson told Celebuzz days later that they were prepared to pay legal fees on the alleged flour-bomber's behalf, and Kimmie told E! News that she was "just going to think" about pursuing a complaint.

"Now that I think about it and had some time to digest it, I think, 'What if that was some other substance? What if that person had a dangerous weapon?' It's scary," she said Monday.

But back to the activism: Khloe Kardashian had indulged in a little of her own back in December 2008, posing nude for a PETA ad that communicated the message, "Fur? I'd rather go naked." Irony? She was recruited by Michelle Cho. Her message via Twitter on Thursday, after the incident at the London Hotel was a bit more family first: "I wish I was with my sister tonight," she wrote. "I bet you that woman wouldn't have dared tried a thing...."

"I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time," Khloe said Monday on her blog, "but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that. I am absolutely disgusted by their behavior.

Fur still won't be a part of her wardrobe, she said, but she will no longer support the controversial group.

"I personally don’t wear fur but that doesn’t mean I am going to force my views on anyone else, ESPECIALLY by violating them. ... Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won't be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise."

[Updated, 8:20 p.m. March 26: "We appreciate that Khloe will remain on the animals' side by not wearing fur — that's what counts," PETA said Monday evening in a statement. "If one of our volunteers is responsible, it doesn't alter the fact that no animal deserves to be electrocuted, shot, or poisoned for a bit of fur clothing. Khloe is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister."]

Khloe Kardashian defends her Kardashian-ness, with mom Kris' help

Robert Kardashian and Kim Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian Odom is the daughter of Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian, she says, and don't you forget it.

"The audacity you have to mention my father’s name like this!," Khloe said Wednesday in a pair of messages on Twitter. "Should be ashamed of urself! I let a lot of things slide but this one is really low… YOU ARE DISGUSTING! (yes you know who YOU are)."

The "you" she seemed to be referring to would be Robert Kardashian's second and third wives, who insinuated to Star magazine that Khloe was in fact not Robert's biological child. Kris and Robert Kardashian divorced in 1990; Khloe was born in 1984.

"Khloe is not his kid -- he told me that after we got married," said Jan Ashley, the woman who married Robert after his divorce from Kris, speaking in the upcoming Star (via Radar Online).  Ellen Kardashian, Robert's last wife, whom he dated for six years and married just two months before his death, piled on as well. "Robert did question the fact that Khloe was his," Ellen said. "Any normal man would if they knew their wife had cheated on him."

Kris, who married Bruce Jenner in 1991, admitted in her recent memoir that she'd had an affair full of "wild sex" while she was married, with Robert filing for divorce shortly after he caught the two of them at a restaurant together. Robert Kardashian died at age 59, in 2003.

"So stupid," Kris Jenner told E! Online. "All so silly. Just another day!!!" The family's publicist also issued a denial to E!, calling the allegations "absolutely ridiculous and not true."

Kardashian Christmas card: Kim is alone, Rob stands tall [Poll]

Kardashian Christmas card 2011

The Kardashian Christmas card is out and in it, well, Kim Kardashian stands alone. So does Rob Kardashian, of course, but with his confident new "Dancing With the Stars" posture, that's nothing but a good thing.

The Kardashian/Jenner family Christmas card for 2011, released Monday, was shot once again by Nick Saglimbeni and, like so many other holiday greetings -- say, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" -- also comes in a 3D version.

"There's nothing I love more than getting everyone together for the Christmas card shoot!" Kourtney Kardashian wrote on her blog. "I love everyone's matching bow ties!"

The cast of characters includes, from left, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, Kim Kardashian, and wee little Mason Disick with his parents, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick.

One fun year-over-year note: Check out Rob's demeanor in last year's card, where he's hiding himself in the middle of his larger-than-life family, and compare that to the shot above. What a difference a No. 2 finish in "Dancing With the Stars" makes, indeed. Rob also recently posted a picture of their Christmas tree, "before presents."

Meanwhile, back to Kim, boldly standing alone in the wake of her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries.

"Maybe our mistakes r what make our fate, wout them what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course we wouldn't b who we are," Kim said on Twitter, shortly after announcing the arrival of the card. We wonder, was she referring to her pending divorce, or to the Kris-and-Kim Christmas card photos that wound up in the photographer's trash bin?

Either way, the Kardashian card might not exactly scream "Jingle Bells," but that's hardly what we expect from the reality-TV clan this time of year.

Check out last year's Christmas card and then let us know below, is the 2011 Kardashian Christmas card a step up from last year, or something else entirely?

Barbara-walters1

This post has been updated, as indicated below.

Barbara Walters has released the almost-complete list of people that will be included in the 2011 edition of her annual special, "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011."

Warning to Daniel Craig: The Kardashians are on the list.

The most fascinating person of 2011 won't be revealed until the special airs Dec. 14 on ABC, but the rest of the participants are an eclectic group: In addition to Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian -- and don't forget mom, Kris Jenner -- there's the "Modern Family" duo of Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, plus Simon Cowell, New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter, Donald Trump, pop star Katy Perry and Pippa Middleton.

Who's missing from the list? And tell us in comments: Who do you think will be the crowned 2011's most fascinating person?

[For the record, 2:41 p.m. Nov. 30: The headline on this post originally said "9 of 10 revealed." It has been changed.]

Daniel Craig is a fan of privacy, but Kardashians, not so much

Daniel Craig says the Kardashians are "idiots"

Daniel Craig has revealed he's not a big Kardashian fan.

The man who is James Bond and stars in David Fincher's upcoming "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" told British GQ that it's very important to keep your private life private. (Craig and Rachel Weisz had a secret wedding in New York in June.)

"I think there's a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel," he told the mag. "You can't buy your privacy back. 'Ooh, I want to be alone... We've been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta, and now you want some privacy?"

Craig's saltier language below has been edited out for sensitive readers, because he didn't stop there.

"It is a career; I'm not being cynical. And why wouldn't you? Look at the Kardashians, they're worth millions. Millions! I don't think they were that badly off to begin with, but now look at them. You see that and you think, 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a ... idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?'"

Once again, Craig's saltier language has been edited out. Trust us, he's not a Kardashian fan.

So Kourtney Kardashian, who just announced she's pregnant with baby No. 2, can probably stop holding her breath for a shower gift from Craig.

Rosie O'Donnell doesn't get Kardashians: 'the new Gabor sisters'

Are the Kardashian sisters the new Gabors? Rosie O'Donnell thinks so.

Rosie O'Donnell missed the boat on the Kardashian phenomenon, but the talk show host seems content with her castaway status.

"I've never seen any of the Kardashian shows, I don't really know the family or the story, all I know is Bruce Jenner looks weird, right?" O'Donnell mused on Tuesday.

"When that all that [happened], the writers were like, 'We've got a bunch of Kim Kardashian jokes.' And I looked at them and I went ... 'I don’t really care,' " she said.

Those writers would be for her eponymous talk show for the OWN network, where O'Donnell conducts one-on-ones with celebs, plays interactive audience games and features the odd musical act. None of which, apparently, includes the E! reality sisters.

What O'Donnell can deduce is the Kardashian family's parallel to another group of fame-seeking siblings: the Gabors.

"I think that in some ways, they're the new Gabor sisters, but I don't have time," O'Donnell said.

Hungarian socialites Eva, Zsa Zsa and Magda decamped to Hollywood to seek success in show business — and at the altar. All three sisters were married multiple times (and in one case, to the same man more than once).

But even Rosie isn't immune the family's latest drama: the demise of Kim's 72-day marriage. Or, as O'Donnell quipped, the "Sorry I Got Divorced Tour."

Kim Kardashian divorce: Sham-wedding accusations sting

Kim Kardashian arrives in Sydney

Even folks who couldn't care less about the Kardashian family have been intrigued by the possibility: Was Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries a sham? Simply a "showmance," arranged for the reality-TV cameras?

Alas, bandwagon Kardashian fans: On the record, most people are swearing the kids' short-lived wedded bliss was for real. Of course, many of those people are on the Kardashian side of things.

"I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it’s hard not to see all the negative ones," Kim wrote on her personal blog Tuesday. "First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!"

She blamed her overwhelming desire for all the stuff normal mortals have ("I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon.") and, well, she kind of blamed the normal mortals in the audience, saying she was so "caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and didn't want to disappoint a lot of people." Later, unnamed sources surfaced courtesy of TMZ to allege she was also blaming her in-laws, telling friends that they hated her and had been nasty.

Technically, Kim apologized broadly, if an "I'm-sorry-but" counts: "I'm sorry if I have hurt anyone," she wrote, "but my dad always told me to follow my heart and I believe now that I really am."

She also asked that her courage be respected as she goes through this difficult time, which finds her at a nightclub in Sydney, Australia, promoting a new line of Kardashian Kollection handbags with sister Khloe.

(Khloe Kardashian would be the sister Kathie Lee Gifford said walked by at the wedding reception and whispered to her, "I give it six ... months.")

Kim Kardashian: New wedding clip flaunts some family drama [Video]

Not everyone in the Kardashian house was cool with her wedding

My my, Kim Kardashian, how the weekly magazine covers fly! It's almost time for your wedding special, and we haven't a thing to wear -- except our troubled facial expressions thanks to some new preview clips that show someone actually noticing the groom.

One of the new videos from E!, the cable network that will air Kim's nuptials to baseball player Kris Humphries, show a rather heated dialogue between Kim and sister Khloe, Lamar Odom's wife, over the family's treatment of Humphries.

"I was talking to Kris and he told me that at the engagement party you were being nasty and had a talk with him upstairs about how we're getting married too soon," Kim says, confronting Khloe. "What would ever make you believe that you could say something like that to Kris?"

Spoiler alert: Khloe has a response! (Which you can see in the video below, if you can handle one cuss word from the blushing bride.)

Khloe Kardashian 'loves' her six-minute, televised nipple slip

Khloe Kardashian exposes nipple on 'Fox and Friends'

Khloe Kardashian had a serious wardrobe malfunction -- a nipple slip to be exact -- on national television Tuesday morning during an appearance with sister Kourtney Kardashian on Fox News Channel's "Fox and Friends."

While promoting the upcoming season of their reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Khloe, a.k.a. Mrs. Lamar Odom, went braless in a sheer black blouse with strategically placed opaque panels. As the interview went on, however, her right breast went rogue, slipping out from behind the thicker fabric and making an appearance of its own through the sheer fabric -- for a full six minutes. Without anyone involved noticing except lots of the folks watching at home on TV.

Talk about now you see it, now you -- well, now you still see it.

The fashionista had been concealing the region with her long hair, but seemed to forget to keep the area in check throughout the show. Later, a Twitter follower alerted the youngest Kardashian sister of the nip-slip, to which she replied "Thank God! I ... love nipples!!!!"

We're sure Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake did too, just as much as CBS loved that $550,000 fine the FCC slapped on the network after the notorious "wardrobe malfunction" Super Bowl halftime show in 2004. But, hey, this is cable, no? We'll see how this plays out for Fox News, which already slipped up Monday by mistakenly using a photo of Tina Fey to illustrate a story about Sarah Palin.

Anyway, the Kardashian sisters moved on to "Live! With Regis and Kelly," where 79-year-old Regis Philbin was taken by the scantily clad Khloe.

"All he's trying to do is not look," cohost Kelly Ripa said.

The sisters gave him permission to check her out and Khloe even went over and did a little shimmy for Philbin, who's leaving the program in the near future.

When asked if he was confused, he answered, "Confused? No, I'm amused -- and very happy about it!"

Khloe, whose abundant presence in E! reality series documents her home and professional life (with and without clothes), didn't seem too remorseful about the incident.

"My mom just called me saying my nip slip is 'all over the internet!' Ha! Is it weird that I love it?! Who knew nipples were so special?" she tweeted.

Indeed.

Kim Kardashian engaged to NBA star Kris Humphries; Kardashian family reacts

Kim Kardashian engaged to Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian
is engaged to Kris Humphries after six months of dating and quite a bit of PDA. Exciting as the news is, the real shocker is that the reality star kept her megawatt engagement ring hidden for a week.

The New Jersey Nets star asked the reality TV gal to marry him by surprising her at her Beverly Hills home on May 18, People reports. He covered her bedroom with rose petals spelling out "Will you marry Me?" sealing the deal with a custom-made 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz ring. (A stunner that rivals the size of her famed backside.)

Kim Kardashian engaged to Kris HumphriesHumphries was in cahoots with Kardashian's mom/manager Kris Jenner, who threw the couple an intimate celebration at home after the proposal.

"I didn't expect this at all," Kardashian told the mag. "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

But Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 26, seemed to be priming fans for a big announcement for weeks, exchanging lovey dovey messages on Twitter and telling the media how great their families were getting along. They were recently spotted shopping for engagement rings and she was photographed frequently at his basketball games. E! also announced that he'd be featured on the next season on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

In January, she met his parents after only a few months of dating and he seemed to be the reason the curvy California girl decided to extend her stay in the Big Apple after wrapping "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." All along the way, she reiterated how she didn't like dating, wanted to settle down and was jealous that her sisters Khloe and Kourtney had already gotten hitched or started families. So an engagement almost seemed imminent.

"OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! It's true! I couldn't be happier!" Kardashian wrote on her blog, also confirming the annoucement on Twitter. "Thank you guys for all of the sweet messages!!!
