Julianna Margulies pleased she didn't prep a SAG Awards speech

Is Julianna Margulies getting a little too relaxed these days? She was, after all, actually nominated for female actor in a drama series for her work on "The Good Wife."

"This year I'm very relaxed because there's no chance that I'm winning, so I didn't have to prepare a speech, and I'm so happy to be here and just see my friends."

(Also nominated in the category were Kathy Bates, Glenn Close and Kyra Sedgwick, plus Jessica Lange, who took home a Golden Globe Award two weeks ago for her work in "American Horror Story.")

An added bonus in the middle of the lengthy award season? "It's a short awards show, so we can just enjoy it ... without lingering."

And then cap it off with a glass of Champagne.

SAG Awards: 'Good Wife's' Matt Czuchry will party on the plane

What would Matt Czuchry of "The Good Wife" like to hear from another actor? "Great work, complex work." And with "The Good Wife's" three years of Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, has he actually heard that yet? Not so much, but that's not the point.

"These people here," Czuchry said Sunday, gesturing to fellow actors on the SAG Awards red carpet, "are all an inspiration to me by the work that they do on TV or film, so whether they say that or not, you know, I'm always inspired by their work."

While rooting for his ensemble, Czuchry is also cheering for costar Julianna Margulies, who's up for female actor in a TV drama series.

"If she wins tonight," he said, "that would be extra special."

Win or lose, Czuchry said he's taking the red eye back to New York on Sunday night and going straight to work in the morning.

"I'll be celebrating with some sleep on the plane. It's nice to be here," he said. "The celebration comes right now."

Emmys 2011: Julianna Margulies, blessed and, oh, that dress [Video]

Julianna Margulies at the 2011 Emmys

Julianna Margulies did a little yoga Sunday before making her way to the 2011 Emmy Awards but said on the red carpet that the award show thing "never gets easier ... it's always stressful."

"It's exciting, but there's a little anxiety that goes along with it, until you get inside." Indeed, Margulies moved inside only to have the Emmy for outstanding actress in a drama come her way for "The Good Wife," which had to cut the anxiety just a touch.

"Having a job, as an actor, is such a blessing," she said. "Having a job that people respond to ... is a dream."

Blessings aside — any thoughts on the dress, which throughout the night had people gabbing? She told E! that a tight schedule had her finding the Armani Prive gown late Saturday night.
