Joe Manganiello, Ryan Phillippe take time out for Joseph Abboud watch launch

Ryan Phillippe and Joseph Abboud director Bernardo Rojo

A little rain couldn't keep the boys inside Thursday evening: A slew of good-looking dudes, including Ryan Phillippe and Joe Manganiello, turned up at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood for the launch of Joseph Abboud Watch Collection.

The fete, hosted by Esquire, lured Ryan Phillippe (rocking major curls) after dinner at hotspot Craig's with pal Jesse Bradford. Clad in a grey sweater, Phillippe perused the watches with the help of brand creative director Bernardo Rojo.

He also mingled with "True Blood" actor Manganiello (clad head-to-toe in Abboud), Joe Jonas, Colton Haynes, "Vampire Diaries" actor Steve McQueen, Trevor Donovan and Rich Sommer.

Yet there were still more men: "Twilight" guys Xavier Samuels and Alex Meraz waved hello, as did chefs Curtis Stone and Todd English.

English, dapper in a sharkskin suit, chatted with the Ministry about his longtime admiration of Beso restaurant partner Eva Longoria and mentioned he might be expanding his television presence on Bravo.

Among the evening's hosts who were on hand: former NBC honcho Ben Silverman, "Entourage" executive producer Rob Weiss, photog Randall Slavin and PR guys Brad Zeifman and Shawn Sachs

Taylor Swift debuts ‘Story of Us’ video [Poll]

Taylorswiftstory

Taylor Swift launched her new "Story of Us" video on MTV on Tuesday night, sparking fresh gossip over who inspired the love song. Swift, who famously wrote "Forever & Always" about ex Joe Jonas, confessed the song is definitely about a former flame.

"Any time I'm onstage or watching the music video, the first thing that comes into my mind is the person I wrote the song about," she told MTV. "It's like the first thing that you think of is the moment that inspired the song, which is that excruciating, awful moment when you run into an ex for the first time."

Could it be John Mayer, Taylor Lautner or even Lucas Till? So far the country star is mum about whom the "Story" is based on, but will offer a few details. "Afterward, I just felt so empty, like we were both fighting this silent war of pretending we didn't care that the other was there," she said. "And I went home, and I wrote this song about it."

The "Story of Us," off her "Speak Now" album, captures the spirit of her awards show encounter, but in a different setting. In the video the couple falls in and out of love in the Vanderbilt University library. Looking especially preppy in her Ivy League get-up, Swift turns up the on-screen angst -- big time.

Whom do you think the video is about?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley leads Maxim Hot 100 party's babe army

Rosie Huntington-Whitely is number one on the Maxim Hot 100 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was white hot in Hollywood on Wednesday night as the new "Transformers" leading lady stepped out to celebrate her No. 1 ranking on Maxim magazine's annual Hot 100 list.

In a sizzling white gown, Rosie turned heads with a posse of hot female friends rolling into Eden nightclub, greeting other hot gals including Olivia Munn, Amber Rose, Sasha Grey, Keri HilsonKelly Rowland and Candace Bailey.

Though Huntington-Whiteley was being celebrated for being, well, gorgeous, she's taking that aesthetic advantage to the next level with a starring role in this summer's "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon." Her director, Michael Bay, showed up to support his new star, who replaces Megan Fox.

And what would Maxim's hottest women be without single Hollywood heartthrobs available to ogle them? A single Joe Jonas turned up, enjoying the sights with some male friends (the singer took numerous photos with his personal camera).

New "Captain America" Chris Evans came through, chatting with "Twilight" hunk Kellan Lutz and actor Geoff Stults

Also spotted: Jeremy Piven, Chuck Liddell, Evan Ross and Romeo, the No. 5 finisher on "Dancing With the Stars" after Tuesday's elimination. Click the pics for more photos from the party.

'Sucker Punch' movie premiere: Abbie Cornish, Jon Hamm, Vanessa Hudgens jab the black carpet

Carla Gugino, Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish, Deborah Snyder, Zach Snyder, Emily Browning, Jamie Chung, and Vanessa Hudgens at the "Sucker Punch" premiere

This post has been corrected. See the note below for details.

The stars of Zack Snyder's estrogen-infused, sci-fi action flick "Sucker Punch" walked the black carpet Wednesday for the ultra-glam premiere of the film starring Abbie Cornish, Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens and Jon Hamm.

Snyder, who also directed "Watchmen" and "300," attended the premiere with his leading ladies and gentleman at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Australian actress Browning  is Baby Doll, a girl who loses her loved ones and gets locked away by her stepfather (Gerard Plunkett) in a Vermont insane asylum -- and is then tasked by wise man Scott Glenn with finding five items she needs to be set free. Plunkett and Glenn did not attend the premiere.

Jon Hamm at 'Sucker Punch' premiere Hamm plays High Roller, a different type of mad man.

The leading ladies in the asylum -- and walking the carpet -- with Browning include Cornish, who plays Sweet Pea; Jena Malone, who plays Sweet Pea's sister Rocket; and "Grown Ups" nanny Jamie Chung, cast as Amber.

Hudgens, who built her fame on the "High School Musical" empire and plays Blondie (a brunet), stepped out with her costars at the premiere. Click the pics for more photos from the event.

Carla Gugino plays Polish psychotherapist Dr. Vera Gorski, who offers up striptease as a cure, in the Warner Bros. film.

Diane Lane, who will play Martha Kent in Snyder's upcoming film, "Superman: Man of Steel," joined Malin Akerman at the premiere. Akerman previously starred in Snyder's "Watchmen."

"Scream 4" star Emma Roberts and newly single singer Joe Jonas also hit the black carpet.

The film sucker punches its way into theaters March 25.

For the record, 4:45 p.m. March 24: This post originally said "Sucker Punch" revolves around the Sweet Pea character, played by Abbie Cornish. Emily Browning's Baby Doll is in fact the main character; the post has been revised to reflect that. Thanks to commenter @Reila Scott for flagging the gaffe.

Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas are dunzo

Ashley Green and Joe Jonas have split Seems the Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene lovefest contained in a Ministry post from Wednesday will now live in our Department of Just Kidding -- reports Thursday have the two broken up.

"It was mutual and amicable," a source close to the couple told the New York Post's Page Six of the split, which allegedly went down a few weeks ago. Jonas and Greene had dated for nearly a year.

If the split is a done deal -- reps for both stars could not be reached immediately for comment -- we're going to assume it was amicable, given that Jonas just told Details that Greene always puts his feelings first.

Jonas will now release what we can only hope is a catharsis-laden solo album. Greene has plenty to occupy herself, with a spree of movies in the hopper and "Breaking Dawn" filming.

Joe Jonas on Ashley Greene: 'She puts my feelings first'

Joe-Jonas-Details-Cover-Ashley-Greene While we'd wager that Ashley Greene is a busier bee than Joe Jonas, given her "Breaking Dawn" duties of late, it seems singer Jonas has a philosophy on what keeps them a happy couple: She understands how in-demand he is.

In a new interview, the middle Jonas brother talks about embarking on his first solo effort and how he makes it work with his "Twilight Saga" gal pal.

"I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule," he says in the new issue of Details.

"She’ll fly out to my shows — she’s been to places in South America that I can’t even pronounce," Jonas said.

Sometimes sacrifices must be made to preserve young love, a struggle Jonas intends to sing about for the solo project — just don't expect any tracks aimed at Taylor Swift, whom he famously dumped  via text-message in 2008.

Songs will cover "scenarios that I've been through, breakups, hurts. Me hurting somebody and feeling bad about it. I think there's a lot of scenarios where people might wanna hear my side of the story," he said.

Demi Lovato settles with dancer Alex Welch over alleged fight

Demi Lovato settles with Alex Welch Demi Lovato and Alex Welch have settled any differences around Lovato allegedly giving the backup dancer a black eye during the Jonas Brothers tour in October, Welch's attorney said Thursday.

Any issues have "been resolved amicably and completely," attorney Donald Karpel told E! News.

TMZ first reported word of an alleged confidential financial settlement. Welch had threatened to sue Lovato over the Oct. 31 incident, which was a prelude to Lovato quitting the Jonas tour to get what her reps on Nov. 1 called "medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time."

Lovato, who's also on leave from her Disney show "Sonny With a Chance," remains in a Chicago treatment facility (please, don't call it rehab). Her name popped back into the news recently when Anna Oliver, a friend she shares with Miley Cyrus, taped the "Hannah Montana" star smoking salvia out of a bong.

See Demi's red carpet interview with the Los Angeles Times at the 2010 Kids Choice Awards, below.

Ashley Greene, Joe Jonas support Kellan Lutz at 'Meskada' premiere

Kellan-lutz-meskada-premiere-12012010-21-820x1135 Lots of love in the air in Hollywood on Tuesday night: Kellan Lutz got some support from fellow "Twilight" cast member Ashley Greene for the premiere of his new flick "Meskada," and Greene in turn brought her beau Joe Jonas.

At Voyeur in West Hollywood, filmmakers and stars toasted the flick -- about a murder in a midwestern town -- with pomegranate cocktails and schmoozing.

Lutz, rocking his dark Emmett Cullen 'do and a Simon Spurr suit, caught up with the Ministry about his busy few weeks shooting "Breaking Dawn" and promoting "Meskada." The evening also marked a celebration of the holiday issue of YRB Holiday issue, for which Lutz is coverboy.

"I've shot one scene," Lutz said of the epic conclusion to the vampire saga. "You know, it's such a big movie and we're all cogs in this giant machine. But [director] Bill Condon is amazing. He makes everything feel very personal."

Speaking of personal, Lutz was recently featured in People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive issue -- showing off his Calvin Klein-worthy bod.

"My grandparents love throwing me under the bus," he laughed about the well-received issue. "They carry a copy around and show their friends."

On a recent visit to Pocahontas, Iowa, his family hosted nearly the whole town to meet the star.

"I basically signed stuff for hours. It was great. It makes the family really happy."

Speaking of happy, his "Twilight" sister Greene looked plenty pleased with Jonas. The couple walked through the venue hand-in-hand, chatting up industry types, before dipping to a private table in back.

Filming on "Breaking Dawn" will continue into 2011, after which Lutz will promote "Love, Wedding, Marriage," directed by Dermot Mulroney, then the blockbuster "Immortals" with Mickey Rourke and Frieda Pinto

Star sightings: a friendly date for Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas

  Ashley Green and Joe Jonas

We at the Ministry love a good lunch date with a friend, especially when it involves maybe-more-than-friends like Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas.

The pair were spotted Monday in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood, sharing a table for two at crunchy Alcove Cafe. Sitting indoors (the restaurant has lots of outdoor garden seating and a small inside section for added privacy) opposite Jonas, Greene donned sunglasses and toted a huge purse.

Some reports this month said the pair had a first date at a Kings of Leon concert in London, while others claimed the pair were just friends (and that Greene was dating actor Brock Kelly). Whatever their romantic status, a delightful afternoon was had.

Other stars out and about lately include ...

PREACH IT! Celebrities, if you're not blogging your breakup, you are SO 2009

Etheridge-tammy Celebrities are all supposedly very private people. That’s what they love to tell us, anyway, in between interviews about where they like to have sex. Even so, public breakups are rare in Hollywood. While it’s considered more than OK to share the happy days of a relationship, airing the details of the bitter end is considered poor form. Or, rather, it was. Thanks, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi. Way to keep it classy.

But, by focusing so much on the scorched-earth tactics of the onetime “winners” of "The Bachelor," we’re missing out on other fine contenders in the public-breakup department. Yes, there’s Mel Gibson, whose leaked abuses to baby mama Oksana Grigorieva fall far beyond the pale of the typical he said-she said. But there’s also Tammy Lynn Michaels, soon-to-be ex of singer Melissa Etheridge, who has taken to blogging about her breakup in free-form verse.

"SMACK!!!!!!!!!!!!/FILE FOR DIVORCE!!!!!!/even though we both promised/agreed/
