Beyonce and Jay-Z: Crazy baby rumors -- is the little one here?

Has Beyonce had her baby?

Plenty of folks are crazy in love with the idea of Beyonce giving birth. But what's actually going on?

Our baby bonanza begins with a blog report this week saying B and husband Jay-Z reserved more than half of the luxurious birthing suite at New York City's St. Luke's hospital for the arrival of their firstborn.

On Dec. 27, MediaTakeOut.com said that hospital staff was put on alert that "a very high profile patient was checking in ... to give birth" and it was in fact Jay and Bey.

Camps for both remained silent, but the reports snowballed -- even suggesting Beyonce has already delivered a baby girl named Tiana May Carter (Tiana is the name of Disney's first black princess, People points out).

We wouldn't get too excited; speculation has been a central theme in the diva's pregnancy. Thanks to some lumpy shapewear, conspiracy theorists doubted she was with child at all. Those allegations were later dismissed as "ridiculous."

As we toboggan into 2012, the Ministry has a piece of advice for those on Beyonce bump watch: Relax. Confirmation of the golden child's arrival will come in due time, no doubt followed by some terribly glamorous first-photo spread.

In the meantime, enjoy this Beyonce countdown

Beyonce releases 'Dance For You' video -- and does just that

Beyonce has released a new music video for 'Dance For You'
If Beyonce is vying for most prolific pregnant diva, she moves a step closer to the title this Thanksgiving holiday by releasing yet another music video -- this time in support of her concert DVD "Live at Roseland: Elements of 4."

"Dance For You," a sultry black-and-white clip filmed prior to her baby bump, courtesy of husband Jay-Z, B goes for a Jessica Rabbit vibe in the shadowy offices of a private detective (watch it here).

The video carries the standard Bey DNA -- wind machines, plunging necklines and lots of hair. Not that we're complaining. "Live at Roseland" will feature highlights of her four-night stint at the aforementioned New York City ballroom.

That performance block was, let's say, a micro-tour for "4." Beyonce never intended to produce an international showing, as she was due on the set of Clint Eastwood's "A Star Is Born" update first thing in the new year. "Babyonce" changes things a bit, but she's still on track to play leading lady.

Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel cozy up at GQ Men of the Year

Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake was honored Thursday as one of 2011's  GQ Men of the Year, and brought a significant lady friend to be at his side -- former girlfriend Jessica Biel.

So are they back in full swing as a couple? It would seem so, as the pair were attached at the hip navigating the packed lobby and patio of the Chateau Marmont, eventually departing after midnight, hand in hand.

Back inside the party, another honoree commanded full attention of the crowd: dad-to-be Jay-Z. All  kinds of boldface names flocked for their five minutes with the mogul, including Jimmy Fallon, Lake Bell and Aziz Ansari.

Cutting a Sinatra-style figure in a black suit, and looking very lean, Jay-Z held court in a corner table while fellow man of the year Michael Fassbender charmed a group of ladies across the garden.

Joe Manganiello stuck out, literally, his towering frame grabbing attention alongside cast members from "Mad Men." The whole gang of Fox's "New Girl" turned up, including a whimsical Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnson.

Anna Faris and husband Chris Pratt mostly hung out together, as did Armie Hammer and his bride, Elizabeth Chambers. Sadly for the Ministry, Jay-Z -- who would make it to Heavy D's funeral in New York the next day -- wasn't joined by his fabulous ball-and-chain, the pregnant Beyonce.

But as the focus of the party was dudes, plenty of them made strong and stylish showings over Grey Goose cocktails, including "Hunger Games" star Josh Hutcherson, Topher Grace, Anton Yelchin, Johnny Galecki, Kellan Lutz, John Cho, Adam Scott, Michael B. Jordan, Sam Paige and Eli Roth.

Jay Z, right, and Michael Fassbender

Fatherhood certainly changes a man, but in Jay-Z's case it looks to be a simple upgrade.

"Yeah," Jay told GQ, envisioning strapping his offspring into the six-figure vehicle. "Wouldn't that be great? That would be a great picture."

Jay leads this year's crop of GQ Men of the Year, understandable thanks to his star-couple status and the groudswell around his and Kanye West's joint album, "Watch the Throne." Impending fatherhood got him reflective about his own experience as a child.

"My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar. He was my superhero ... ," Jay said of his father, who left the family. "So there was nothing he could say to satisfy me, except to hear me out. And it was up to me to forgive and let it go."

Other men making the cut include the recently blown away Justin Timberlake, and "Shame" actor and everyone's newest crush Michael Fassbender. The mag's traditional Woman of the Year honor will go this year to Mila Kunis.

GQ editor in chief Jim Nelson will host the annual Men of the Year bash Thursday at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. Stay tuned to the Ministry for party (and manly) coverage.

Beyonce has a hot new video for 'Party'

Beyonce has released yet another music video, this time featuring the track "Party" from her new album "4." And there are several things we need to say about it.

To those feverish baby-bump skeptics who suspect that Mrs. Jay-Z is embellishing, or altogether faking, her pregnancy: Calm down. The pop star looks svelte in the "Party" video because it -- in all of its trailer-park sultriness -- was shot during the first week of August.

Secondly, let's repeat: trailer-park sultriness. In a glorious mess of fanny packs, headpieces, blender drinks, dice-throwing and dance circles, Beyonce reminds us that even without elaborate choreography, high fashion or cinematic elements she brings one heck of a party.

J. Cole guests, and old friends including B's sister Solange Knowles and former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland show up for the festivities, which were shot in an actual trailer park.

Peep the swagu, below, and tell us your thoughts in comments.

Beyonce lifts veil around her marriage, names her style icons

Beyonce in Harper's Bazaar

This post has been corrected, as detailed below.

We'd expect Beyonce to long for pickles and peanut butter during her pregnancy, but, happily for our purposes, the star has an even tastier craving: one for candor.

It seems that in her new role as a mom-to-be, Beyonce is just one big share party, offering insights about  her long-private relationship with husband Jay-Z and her high-profile style influences.

"We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married. I admire his ability to inspire others. To me, Jay represents the American dream. Jay's music has helped define our generation," she tells Harper's Bazaar.

"We focused three years on our marriage," she said, "and found that it brought us an even stronger bond and connection. But like anything great and successful in your life, marriage takes hard work and sacrifice. It has to be something both you and your husband deeply want."

On their daily lives, Bey added that "there's someone right there calling you out on your flaws and building you up when you need the support. If you are with the right person, it brings out the best version of you."

That best version of Beyonce is ever the multitasker: Due in February, the singer continues to release video after video from her disc "4," promote eponymous fragrances, recently hit New York Fashion Week and revealed to the mag that she's developing a maternity collection for her line House of Deréon.

Still more sharing? Bey name-dropped Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Gisele Bundchen as women whose style she admires. Digest all of this news, and a behind-the-scenes clip of her Terry Richardson shoot below, with or without pickles and peanut butter.

[For the Record, 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11: OK, we're going to make like Beyonce and be candid with you -- this post originally referred to the singer's pregnant-lady craving for "candidness." It now more elegantly refers to her craving for "candor," which is, of course,  a real word. Thanks to @RogerWellington on Twitter for the candid critique.]

Gwyneth Paltrow thrilled for parents-to-be Beyonce and Jay-Z

Gwyneth Paltrow at the Venice Film Festival

Gwyneth Paltrow is finally getting her shot at being a famous "aunt," with pals Beyonce and Jay-Z expecting their first baby.

"I think motherhood is the biggest blessing of all time and it gives your life real meaning," she said.

Paltrow, making the rounds for Steven Soderbergh's disease flick "Contagion," touched on Beyonce's baby news and how she thinks it will shape the rest of the superstar's life.

"It's always interesting when you're a woman with success and you've achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid," Paltrow told E! News. "I think that will be [Beyonce's] experience."

The "1+1" singer announced her pregnancy by turning up at the MTV Video Music Awards rocking a baby bump. Mother-of-two Paltrow more recently joined the parents-to-be aboard a yacht at the Venice Film Festival, where they were celebrating Beyonce's 30th birthday.

Beyonce's pregnancy sucks Jay-Z into over-the-moon celeb hive mind

Beyonce is pregnant

Now that a pregnant Beyonce has revealed her baby bump unto us (come, let us adore it), husband Jay-Z has come forth with his own proclamation of joy.

Except he didn't use the word joy. Instead, an "insider" close to Mr. Z told Us Weekly that the daddy-to-be is "over the moon." If the phrase sounds familiar, that's because it is.

As soon as a star gets pregnant, the couple's vocabulary shrinks to a half-dozen words, including the perennial "ecstatic" and, of course, the pablum "over the moon." Stars who have been over the moon in recent years include, well, everybody, among them Britney Spears, Lindsay Price, Lily Allen, Victoria Beckham and Nicole Kidman.

Khloe Kardashian, who is not pregnant, nonetheless has said she would be "over-the-moon excited" if she ever were.

Most of these insipid statements are coming from personal celebrity publicists, of course -- people not exactly known for their creative gifts. Still, we couldn’t help wondering why nobody ever thought to mix things up, especially Mr. Hova, who is generally known as a master wordsmith. ("I got 99 problems but the fetus ain’t one." See? We just made that up. Mr. Z can pay us care of Tribune Inc.)

Our first instinct was the bring down the banhammer on every publicist who feeds us those words from now until the End of Days, but instead we floated the question: Why over the moon? Why not infused with jubilation, or chock full o' jollies, or a-brim with jouissance, or tap dancing on a wave of reproductive felicity?

"My guess?" ventures personal publicist and new mom Heidi Krupp-Lisiten. It has something to do with the harking back to the baby lullaby about "the cow jumping over the moon."

"I mean, how would it sound if you found out you were pregnant and said the dish ran away with the spoon?" Krupp-Lisiten offered. Well, OK, there’s that.

"Seriously," she assures the Ministry, "having a 6-month-old at 45 and re-reading and learning the songs does make you wonder about the moon."

Now you know.

Beyonce is pregnant

Beyonce's red-carpet baby bump tipped off the world to her pregnancy -- but her performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards let her shout her joy from the rooftops Sunday night.

Clad in a sparkly Dolce & Gabanna tuxedo jacket with elastic-waist suit pants (let the fabulous maternity wear begin), she asked the audience to "celebrate the love that's growing inside of me" and then belted a new track, "Love on Top."

After her crooning, Beyonce unveiled her baby-on-board to the world by tossing her microphone, popping open her jacket and rubbing the bun in the oven that's bound for her and Jay-Z's household.

"I have known for quite a while," Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland told People on Sunday night, "and she's happy, and Jay is happy, and that's all that counts."

Speaking of Papa Jay, he and pal Kanye West lost their minds over the revelation, jumping for joy in the audience as Beyonce accepted audience adoration. Check it out, below.

Obama birthday party lures Chris Rock, Tom Hanks, Jay-Z and more

Jennifer Hudson greets President Barack Obama

Celebs turned out for President Obama's 50th birthday party, despite some earlier speculation to the contrary, with Chris Rock giving a prompt report on the festivities Thursday night.

"Just left the Presidents birthday party at the White House," the comedian and actor said on Twitter. "Herbie Hancock played, Stevie Wonder sang and yes they did the electric slide. A great night."

Other famous faces included basketball's Charles Barkley and Grant Hill, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Hill Harper of "CSI: NY" and Jay-Z, according to Politico.

(Beyoncé, a.k.a. Mrs. Jay-Z, was spotted earlier this week at a mobile home park in New Jersey, shooting a new music video -- unfortunately her day at work was crashed by an egg-throwing intruder.)

Hanks did double duty Thursday with the good wishes, shouting out to his son and that other guy, "21! Happy Birthday, Chet! You too, Mr. President (50). Hanx."

Festivities reportedly began with chicken, ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta and salad in the Rose Garden, followed by a choice of apple, peach, huckleberry or cherry pie. Along with Michelle Obama, the first daughters presented Dad with a cake before everyone moved inside for music and dancing.

Oprah Winfrey BFF Gayle King represented the Chicago crowd, but 49th-birthday pal Winfrey didn't make it. Perhaps the gift she delivered in the week, volunteering to step up for his 2012 campaign as she had in 2008, made up for it?

"I'm in his corner for whatever he needs me to do," Oprah said.
