Jenna Fischer saves it for Jay Leno: She's having a boy

Jenna Fischer is expecting a boy, she revealed Monday on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

"The Office" actress told Leno she'd been asked very recently on the red carpet whether the baby was a boy or a girl, but refused to answer at the time, allegedly because she wanted to tell Leno first.

So, the host observed, "Like a lot of girls, you were saving yourself for Jay!"

Oh my. So, yeah, um, the baby is due in late September. What were we just talking about?

Fischer, whose movie, "A Little Help," opens Friday, took the opportunity to address "the nation" on a few issues important to pregnant women, including cleaning up around the sink in the public restroom, agreeing to take a seat rather than doing the "hover and tinkle," and the nature of true hunger.

If a pregnant woman says she's hungry, Fischer said, don't ask her what she'd like to eat: "You should just throw food at her."

"Don't offer me a salad with vinaigrette dressing," she explained. "I want spaghetti bolognese. I want it immediately. Or I'm going to eat your foot.

"That's kind of how it goes."

Lindsay Lohan on Leno: 'Not a kid anymore' -- she's the cleaning crew

Lindsay Lohan, who will start in on 480 hours of community service by week's end, has stopped by "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" to tape an interview. According to a show source, LiLo earned a standing ovation Monday for her efforts.

Actress Kristin Chenoweth was bumped from Leno's scheduled lineup for Tuesday, when the last-minute Lohan chat will air.

In discussing her court appearance, her time in jail before posting bail and her reaction to the probation-violation sentence, Lohan noted that a lot of decisions were made for her early on. After achieving success so quickly, she said, it was hard to take time to appreciate all that had come her way.

"But I'm not a kid anymore," she told Leno. "I'm 24, I've made a lot of mistakes and I recognize that. I'm in the clear now, and as long as I stay focused, I can achieve what I want to achieve."

Judge Stephanie Sautner on Friday sentenced Lohan to 120 days in jail, 360 hours of service at the downtown Women's Center on skid row and 120 hours at the Mission Road coroner's office. The judge also reduced the theft charge from a felony to a misdemeanor. Though the actress is appealing the jail sentence, she still has to start her community service hours within a week and, if the sentence stands, finish them within a year.

Robert Pattinson gets A-list beef jerky from Jay Leno

How can Robert Pattinson know he's made it? According to Jay Leno, it's the beef jerky.

That's what Leno insisted on "The Tonight Show," where Pattinson graced the couch Friday to promote his new romance epic "Water for Elephants."

Recalling his recent road trip from Los Angeles to New Orleans, where he filmed "Breaking Dawn," Pattinson mentioned stopping Texas and patronizing a roadside joint that claimed to sell the world's best beef jerky.

Leno surprised him by having a bundle of the snack flown in for their chat. "That's when you know you're a star, when you have jerky flown in," Jay said.

Pattinson also found some insight into his own popularity when Jay's other guest, comedian Whitney Cummings, confessed her RPattz obsession.

"You're responsible for me and my last boyfriend breaking up," Cummings said.

"I kind of need to date someone who can fly, I need to be someone's spider monkey. I need someone with diamonds in their face," she said of Pattinson's on-screen vampire persona, Edward Cullen.

Madonna has blessed 'Born This Way,' Lady Gaga says

Lady Gaga and Born This Way While mixed reviews pour in for Lady Gaga's new single "Born This Way," one influential voice has spoken up in support of the track -- Madonna, the very icon that Gaga has been accused of ripping off.

The singer stopped by Jay Leno's couch on Monday evening sporting cranial enhancements similar to the extra shoulder bones she had attached for the Grammy Awards on Sunday. The chat show host wasted no time in asking what she thought of "Born" being compared to Madonna's old-school hit "Express Yourself."

Though she shied from commenting on any perceived similarities, she did say Madge had reached out with some love.

"The good news is that I got an e-mail from her people and her sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single," Lady Gaga said.

"If the queen says, 'It shall be,' then it shall be," she said.

'Friends' Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston back in a big way

Matthew Perry in 'Mr. Sunshine' This post has been corrected. Please see the note at the bottom.

The cast of "Friends" is back to making headlines, this time with Matthew Perry leading the way with ratings love for the debut of his new sitcom, "Mr. Sunshine."

Thanks to a lot of hype and a lead-in from "Modern Family" on Wednesday night, 10.57 million viewers tuned in to watch the premiere of the ABC show, according to overnight ratings from Nielson Co.

The show stars Perry as a San Diego stadium owner and Andrea Anders as his love interest, who is his "Friends" costar Matt LeBlanc's real-life girlfriend.

(The 9:30 p.m. Wednesday premiere bar had been set pretty high in 2009 by another "Friends" alum, Courteney Cox, whose "Cougar Town" on ABC drew 11.28 million viewers in September of that year.)

Matt LeBlanc in 'Episodes' Flip the channel to NBC, where LeBlanc shattered many a heart -- including Jay Leno's -- when he visited "The Tonight Show" and revealed that he'd started dyeing his hair black while "Friends" was in full swing. The star of Showtime's "Episodes" said he started dyeing the sides of his now salt-and-pepper locks in his mid-20s.

"Dyeing it on the show would take like an hour and a half," he said — so he got some Just for Men and started coloring it himself. It "takes five minutes, but then about a half-hour of paint-thinner to get the black off your ears," he said, laughing.

"This is shattering for those of us that loved the show," Leno said.

Another "Friends" fun fact: LeBlanc said he shut down production on the Emmy-winning show during "The One Where No One's Ready." He blew out his shoulder while performing "the safest stunt," in which Joey had to jump over the coffee table and land in the down chair that he and Chandler were fighting over.

Watch a clip here.

Jennifer Aniston at 'Just Go With It' premiere And now, we haven't forgotten Rachel Green.

Jennifer Aniston will be battling Justin Bieber at the box office this weekend when her new comedy, "Just Go With It," with Adam Sandler, opens against the Biebs' documentary, "Never Say Never."

Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer, where you at?

For the record, 5:35 p.m.: This post originally said "Mr. Sunshine" had bested "Cougar Town's" premiere-night ratings, with numbers given only for the Matthew Perry show. "Cougar Town" in fact premiered with 11.28 million viewers to "Mr. Sunshine's" 10.57 million.

Dianna Agron: 'Glee,' engagement rumors, a new movie and more 'Glee'

Dianna Agron Dianna Agron of "Glee" is a busy woman, what with all the rumors and a premiere and a concert tour on tap -- no wonder she couldn't make it to the 2011 Super Bowl.

Agron skipped the big game, which most of the cast attended to see costar Lea Michele's pregame performance.

The sweet-faced crooner admitted to Jay Leno that she let Fox give away her tickets because she knows nothing about football except that "goalposts are usually yellow."

We wouldn't be surprised if Packers and Steelers fans relegated to seats out in the cold have already boycotted the show and maybe even the "Glee" tour that's set to kick off in Las Vegas on May 21. OK, maybe that's a bit of a stretch ...

Anyway, the 24-year-old also has been busy putting the kibosh on engagement rumors that have been swirling around her and Alex Pettyfer, her "I Am Number Four" costar-slash-boyfriend-slash-roommate.

Reps for the couple have denied the rumors, but sources still insist that the unfairly cute twosome are getting hitched.

So, a word of advice, Dianna: Don't wear a diamond band on your left ring finger during a press day for your new film and expect not to get any questions about it, especially if you're already sharing an apartment with the guy.

The couple will hit the red carpet Wednesday in Westwood for the sci-fi thriller's premiere -- and we'll definitely be looking for that ring.

Jennifer Aniston discusses sperm donation with Jay Leno

Jennifer Aniston sat down with Jay Leno on Thursday night to chat about the usual things -- her dad, her new film "The Switch" and, you know, would she ever just trot down to a sperm bank and go shopping.

The question was not entirely out of left field -- the new film, which she produced, features her as a woman who gets pregnant with the help of sperm donor.

Rickey Minor leaving 'Idol' for Leno's 'Tonight Show'

Rickey-minor Rickey Minor, musical director for "American Idol" since 2007, will step into Kevin Eubanks' newly vacated shoes over at "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" starting in June, TMZ reports, with a confirmation from NBC.

Eubanks told Leno during the taping of Monday night's show that, after 18 years, he was definitely moving on. Conan O'Brien compadre Max Weinberg's name had come up in speculation about who'd get the gig, but Team Leno and Team Coco won't mix that way after all. TMZ says the announcement will be made Wednesday on "Idol."

Minor, a producer and composer whose TV credits include the 2008 Grammy Awards and 2010 People's Choice Awards, will join his new band on the air June 7 -- after the "American Idol" season ends May 26. Maybe they can combine his going-away party with Simon Cowell's. Get one cake instead of two.

Jodie Foster wants to teach Kristen Stewart a thing or two

Kristen oscars Kristen Stewart garnered attention when she was 11, as the acting prodigy alongside Jodie Foster in 2002's "Panic Room." Despite Stewart's gifts, Foster still thinks the actress could benefit from her company, and told the "Twilight Saga" star so at Sunday's Academy Awards.

Stopping by Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" couch on  Wednesday, Stewart said Foster approached her at the Kodak Theatre -- the two hadn't seen one another for years.

"She saw me and came over and said hi ... ," Stewart said. "She was like, 'You know, you could learn a thing or two from me; I think that maybe we should start hanging out.'"

An overwhelmed Stewart jumped at the chance ...

'Coco and the Chin': #Conan O'Brien apparently 100% OK with this #LenoFAIL situation [Updated]

Conan Conan O'Brien's monologues lately are proving that he's totally OK with all this Jay Leno stuff.

Absolutely. Completely. I mean, who wouldn't be?

The monologue above, from Friday, is short and hysterically funny. The monologue embedded after the jump (It's the entire Monday show, actually, in case you weren't very busy at work) is long, but, um, illuminating, with good stuff up front and then another list at 5:30.

The "Twilight" and "Avatar" gags come shortly thereafter.

What were we saying last week about comedy coming from pain?

[Updated at 12:36 p.m.: You know we were joking about him being OK with this whole mess, right? Conan just released a statement rejecting what he calls the "destruction" of "The Tonight Show." In other words, he ain't OK with a 12:05 a.m. time slot. He also says that although there's talk of him moving to another network, he has no other offer.]
