First look: Jane Lynch gets booked!

A hit show, an Emmy nomination, her own wax figure -- and now a shameless mug shot? Looks like Jane Lynch has finally arrived.

No, the "Glee"; favorite wasn't actually arrested. The "mug shot" above is your first look, courtesy of the Ministry of Gossip, at a new viral campaign that Lynch will front about responsible texting for kids.

What, you ask, does irresponsible texting look like? Consider perhaps the case of one Kevin Kristopik, who allegedly obtained Justin Bieber's cellphone number and harassed the pop star with unwanted texts. Bieber, for better or worse, taught his alleged tormentor a lesson by sending Kevin's cellphone number to 4.5 million Twitter followers, resulting in a just a few unwanted texts going the other way.

"The campaign has funny viral videos starring Jane, encouraging parents to talk to their kids about responsible texting," a source close to the project tells us.

'Glee' star Jane Lynch will host 'SNL,' Ryan Murphy says

Just in off the "Eat Pray Love" red carpet, via the Hollywood Reporter: confirmation from "EPL" director Ryan Murphy that Jane Lynch will host "Saturday Night Live."

There's still an air of mystery to the whole thing, as an "SNL" rep told MTV that the show hasn't yet confirmed any hosts or musical guests for the new season.

Still, Murphy (who is also "Glee's" co-executive producer) told the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday that he accidentally notified Lynch of the gig, texting her "Lady, you're doing 'Saturday Night Live' " after getting a call from Lorne Michaels asking if the show might have the "Glee" star's services for a week.

Lynch, who's nominated for an Emmy, took home a piece of the Teen Choice Award for best comedy on Sunday (the show aired Monday), came face to face with her wax double on Thursday and just a week ago may have learned the identity of her "Glee" alter-ego Sue Sylvester's mother.

Jane Lynch's wax double was unveiled Wednesday at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood, allowing the "Glee" star to come face to face with her tracksuit-clad creation.

"Holy crap -- unbelievable," she told the crowd, which according to People included fans and a real-life glee club. "This is too much. This is too weird. I feel like I’m seeing myself in a coffin or something. Thank you so much!"

Lynch attended with wife Lara Embry -- coincidentally on the day a federal judge overturned California's Prop. 8. Lynch and Embry were married in Massachusetts in June.

Report: Carol Burnett will be on 'Glee,' cast as Jane Lynch's mom [poll]

Ever wonder how Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester turned out so, um, special? Turns out Sue may have been raised by none other than Carol Burnett, who reportedly will show up on "Glee" as the cheer coach's Nazi-hunting mom, according to an EW source.

E! Online sources say there's no ink on the deal but that Burnett is indeed talking to "Glee" producers. This after Burnett revealed in May that she'd be interested in an appearance on the show, if she were asked. "I'd do whatever they wanted me to," she told Zap2It, "but I'd like to have a few scenes with Jane Lynch. I love her."

The episode would air in October or November, EW says.

What's better than Jane Lynch?

A zillion Jane Lynches.

VH1's Do Something Awards for people committed to social change was like a dream for Lynch lovers. The show, broadcast live Monday from Hollywood's Palladium, opened with the "Glee" star surrounded by clones, kind of like the Robert Palmer girls — but instead of puffy red lips and minis, they were wearing black tracksuits and particularly wiggy blond wigs. Indeed, there were Janes as far as the eye could see, enough, in the original's words, to make "my narcissistic dreams come true."

Except for one rebel.

"That's Jennifer Saurenman," Jennifer Saurenman whispered as she walked by the Ministry (we were outed by our notebook) in full Jane Lynch drag.

OK, so there were a zillion Janes and at least one Jennifer acting the part of Jane. Not to mention a bunch of stars who came to present (Paula Abdul, Megan Fox, Demi Lovato) or accept (Snoop Dogg, Do Something for the Kids; Joe Jonas on behalf of the brothers, Do Something Music Artist; Christina Applegate, Do Something Kick Ass for Survival) or both (Kathy Griffin, Do Something Comedian).

The Ministry's favorite celeb of the evening was "Twilight" hottie Kellan Lutz, who picked the Do Something for Animals Award. Griffin presented the award — a golden sneaker with Mercury-like wings — inside a pen of barking dogs that suddenly materialized onstage. Noting his "incredibly awesome ... 

At Outfest's opening night, Jane Lynch of 'Glee' savors a day of back-to-back honors

At Outfest's Opening Night Gala on Thursday, "Glee's" Jane Lynch was honored by a couple of spiffy presenters -- Chris Colfer and Paris Barclay -- who'd had a pretty good day themselves.

Roughly 15 hours before Sue Sylvester's nicer doppelganger received the Outfest Achievement Award, the two actors and "Glee" director Barclay learned they were Emmy nominees, thanks to Fox's breakout hit series.

That didn't stop the puckish presenters from dryly acknowledging that, as Colfer put it, "Tonight is all about Jane.... She's a breath of fresh air in a very polluted city."

Lynch returned the favor. She talked about meeting Barclay: "It was at an audition for a pilot several years ago, where he gave her simple instructions: "Please, just don't bore me."

(Two-time Emmy winner Barclay was nominated again this year for directing the series' not-boring "Wheels" episode, which had the glee club performing in wheelchairs to support Kevin McHale's character, Artie Abrams.)

Reports: Jane Lynch gets hitched

Somebody call Will Schuester (and make sure he’s sporting an unbuttoned shirt)! His arch nemesis has gotten married! 

OK, OK. Sue Sylvester won’t be sharing her track suits anytime soon. But Jane Lynch — the actress who plays Sue — is full of “Glee” right about now.

An official announcement from the actress hasn’t been made, but the restaurant in Sunderland, Mass., where the intimate ceremony took place on Memorial Day, says it's so, according to reports. Guess all that speculation about a May wedding was true! 

Guests apparently enjoyed a four-piece jazz combo during the reception — we just hope Lynch, 49, treated her bride — psychologist Lara Embry — to a rendition of Madonna’s “Vogue.”  

Lynch and Embry had been engaged since November.

'Glee' cast raves about Lady Gaga garb; coach Sue's 'Vogue' on tap for Tuesday night

It'll be all Madonna in a week as the second half of "Glee's" first season gets rolling, but at the midseason premiere party at Bar Marmont in L.A. on Monday night, Lady Gaga was the diva of the hour, MTV News reports.

Madonna fans need not despair: Jane Lynch's three-minute "Vogue" video will premiere during Tuesday's "Hell-o" episode, a week ahead of the "Power of Madonna" installment.

In the show's upcoming Gaga episode, which was shooting Monday, Corey Monteith won't be wearing crime-scene tape, he said, referring to a Gaga get-up in her recent "Telephone" video. Chris Colfer was pleased to have danced in 10-inch heels and emerged unscathed. And Kevin McHale seemed to hint that not all the guys got their Gaga on to the same degree.

At the party, Lynch, aka coach Sue Sylvester, talked to People about her just-announced engagement: "I never thought that this is something I wanted ... ," the actress said. "It's just the greatest thrill in the world to find somebody that you want to be with every day."

Jane Lynch of 'Glee' engaged to psychologist girlfriend

"Glee" star Jane Lynch is indeed engaged to psychologist girlfriend Lara Embry, a rep for the actress confirmed Saturday.

Rumors were swirling in January after an offhand comment from Lynch on the Golden Globes red carpet wound up on the Carpetbagger blog.

The Ministry checked in with Lynch's people at the time and got a "no comment." Now it's confirmed -- there's a ring but not a date, despite previous speculation that they'd be exchanging vows in May. 

A new -- and, dare we say, much anticipated -- episode of "Glee" airs Tuesday night, kicking off the second half of the show's first season.

[POLL] USC-UCLA 2009 is decided -- now it's UCLA vs. USC vs. 'Glee'

 
The Bruins and Trojans met Saturday night and, after a bit of a crowd kerfuffle on the field, the crosstown rivalry was settled for yet another year.

But this is Hollywood, and there's one last score to settle: UCLA versus USC versus the coaches, football players and cheerleaders of the Fox series "Glee."

[For the record: A previous version of this post said the teams met Friday night. Why did it say that? Because the Ministry clearly needed some sleep. The 2009 incarnation of the UCLA-USC game, which the Ministry did indeed watch, was played Saturday, Nov. 28, with a 7 p.m. kickoff.]
