Justin Bieber's scary guys night with Jaden Smith, Connor Cruise

Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith

Justin Bieber took a break from recording his Christmas album and romancing Selena Gomez for a fun-filled guys night Sunday with famous pals Jaden Smith and Tom Cruise's son, Connor.

Hitting up Universal Studios Hollywood's popular Halloween Horror Nights attraction, Bieber indulged in scares including "Terror Tram: Scream 4 Your Life," where his group evaded a knife-wielding Ghostface killer, as well as mazes based on Eli Roth's "Hostel" films and Rob Zombie's gross-out movies.

Arriving around 7 p.m. and staying until just after midnight, the group received a VIP tour and were "totally scared," one onlooker said.

Ghoulish motifs must be a welcome change for the Biebs, who has been up to his 17-year-old ears in holiday spirit. "Under the Mistletoe," his soon-to-be-released Christmas record, features collaborations with the likes of his mentor Usher.

In fact, Usher and Bieber released their take on "The Christmas Song" on Monday.

"This record is going to be remembered for years to come," Usher said on a call to Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show. "It's a record that has always been one of my favorites, and I'm happy that I was able to share it with Justin, and for us to put it out."

Miley Cyrus rejoins Twitter for Charlie Sheen and Liam Hemsworth?

Miley Cyrus wins Kids' Choice Award, rejoins Twitter Miley Cyrus is back ... on Twitter, that is, crediting her return to none other than Charlie Sheen. Oh, and her fans too.

The teen star returned to the micro-blogging site on the heels of her favorite movie actress win at the Kids' Choice Awards in order to promote her upcoming Gypsy Heart World Tour.

"Yo guys! Its MC! Thank you so much for my KCA! =] PS I am taking over the Gypsy Heart twitter! Gotta keep ya posted on tour <3 come see me!" she wrote.

But soon after, Cyrus revealed the real reasons for her comeback.

"Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!" I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning," she tweeted Sunday.

Perhaps she just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Hey, Miley, you're not missing much in terms of torpedoes of truth anyway.

The 18-year-old amassed thousands more followers via the Gypsy Tour account. She deleted her personal account in October 2009 for on-again-off-again boyfriend and "The Last Song" costar Liam Hemsworth.

Ironically, she tweeted props to Hemsworth for landing a role in the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games" with Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence.

"I can say the best news ever now! Dang word travels fast! Liam booked the role of Gale in Hunger Games! I gotta go read all the books now!" she wrote.

Cyrus was also quick to reply to fans and converse with other celebrities, including Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and Jaden Smith, who is teaming up with papa Will Smith in an M. Night Shyamalan-directed project.

It's a good thing salvia isn't as addictive as Twitter, we suppose.

Are you going to start following Miley now that she's back on Twitter? Let us know in comments.

Justin Bieber, Usher -- so bromantic at the Grammys

Justin Bieber and Usher were oozing with love for each other at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, and it continued backstage, our friends at Awards Tracker tell us.

Before taking the stage together, the audience and viewers at home got to see a tidbit of Bieber's audition video for Usher, above, when the newly minted teen idol belted out "U Got It Bad."

Justin Bieber performs with Usher at Grammys The pair shared a moment about the audition onstage, then went on to perform a tame version of Usher's "OMG" after an acoustic version of Bieber's "Baby" and "Never Say Never" with Jaden Smith, complete with acrobats and airborne ninjas. But now we wonder, will Usher be taking Will Smith's baby boy under his tutelage too?

But if viewers didn't get enough of the bromance onstage, backstage Usher fielded more inquiries about his protégé than queries about his own wins for male R&B vocal performance and contemporary R&B album. (The Biebs went home empty-handed despite a bevy of nominations.)

"Obviously, I would have preferred Justin to have won, but I've been here before and haven't won," Usher said.

Then the Biebs swooped to the podium and leaped onto Usher's back to finish the interview. Want to know what Bieber had to say about Usher? Read it at Awards Tracker.

Justin Bieber's 'Never Say Never' world premiere: When purple 3D glasses attack

Justin Bieber Scooter and Usher in purple glasses

At the purple-themed world premiere of the Justin Bieber movie "Never Say Never" in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, it was hard to tell where the screams on the screen ended and the screams from the audience began.

Justin Bieber premiere The stars turned out with their kids -- as did the stars who are kids -- to walk the crazy purple carpet crush that was streamed live online and into Nokia Theater at L.A. Live.

Selena Gomez showed, leggy in purple, but didn't hold hands in public with rumored beau Bieber. No need to start a riot, right? Miley Cyrus came with mom Tish and sister Noah, and Jaden Smith hung with his folks and sister Willow Smith, who rocked an elaborate, jewelry-encrusted hairdo in line with her fashion-forward rep. (Miley and Jaden are featured in the film.)

Famous parents giving their kids a thrill included Usher, P. Diddy, Jane Lynch, Melanie "Mel B" Brown, and of course Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith -- plus Pattie Mallette, whose kid Justin Bieber has given her quite a few thrills in recent years.

"I don't think you ever get used to something like this," Mallette said on the carpet. "It's mass hysteria at times. But it's amazing. It's a big adventure."

Selena Gomez at the Justin Bieber premiere The screening was kicked off with a few words from impresario Scooter Braun and mentor Usher -- both welcomed by screams, Usher's only slightly louder -- before the purple-suited Biebs stepped up to tell fans in the audience that he loves them, he loves what he's doing, he loves purple, and he really hopes fans love the movie, because it wouldn't have happened without them.

That last, by the way, is an argument strongly supported by the film and by Scooter out on the purple carpet, where fans screamed his name as well as Justin's: "They know me, they know our security, they know our stylist, they know everything about everybody and we've been sharing it with them," he said. "They made this team, we owe them. It's not a ... creep-out thing, I know it doesn't happen when he's not around.

"It's not about me, it's about him and them."

Willow Smith as 'Annie'? Will Smith, Jay-Z could bring it

Willow Smith with Jaden Smith

Willow Smith may be sweet on Daddy Warbucks -- or Daddy Will Smith -- now that papa Smith and Sony are exploring a remake of the classic musical "Annie."

Is Willow Smith, the 10-year-old of "Whip My Hair" fame, jumping on the daddy-make-me-a-movie bandwagon by starring in the musical? Yes, according to Variety -- and we're not really surprised.

Her 12-year-old brother, Jaden, launched his film career last summer in the remake of "The Karate Kid," which was his parents produced. Natch.

Well, Will, now Willow wants a movie too. It's just something you celebrity dads have to deal with. The pepperoni-loving tween is already walking red carpets and was recently profiled by Vanity Fair. It's a hard knock life, we know.

The film will probably be produced by Overbrook Entertainment, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's production company. Variety also reported that Jay-Z would oversee the music for the film via his label Roc Nation, which signed Willow.

The jury is still out on whether the redux would be contemporary or include the original songs. Last time we checked, Little Orphan Annie didn't whip her hair back and forth. And we're having a hard time believing that with Jay-Z on board, this project would be set in the same era as the tap-dancing, sweet-as-pie original.

We do know he's no stranger to the hard knock life either.

Justin Bieber sits courtside with Jaden Smith, cheerleaders and a big fat Lakers championship ring

Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith at the Lakers game

After playing his own game at Staples Center on Monday, Justin Bieber landed courtside with actor buddy Jaden Smith in the same venue Tuesday for the Los Angeles Lakers' championship-ring ceremony and season-opening game.

Justin Bieber eyes the Laker Girls cheerleaders Bieber flashed Lakers exec Jeannie Buss' ring for the cameras, for Jaden and perhaps for some of the Lakers cheerleaders he mingled with courtside.

The ring, according to our pals in the sports department, are "small asteroids of excess designed by owner Jerry Buss," with 16 over-sized diamonds for each Lakers title, a 3-D rendering of each player's face and a small piece of the leather from a basketball used in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Subtly elegant, no?

Biebs was spotted chatting with soccer star David Beckham, and Denzel Washington was in the crowd as well. After a rocky start (perhaps they were a bit distracted?), the Lakers rallied to beat the Houston Rockets, 112-110, in their season opener.

After the Monday show in L.A. -- and working through that laser-tag thing, announcing a fragrance and releasing a trailer for his 3-D docudrama -- the Biebs will hit the Honda Center in Anaheim for a concert Wednesday night.

We have to ask, how many copies of that white jeans suit and purple hoodie does a guy have to have to stay spotless on a seemingly never-ending tour? Bieber's "My World 2.0" tour blew through L.A. back in July for a Nokia Theatre concert that included almost exactly the same scene shown below.
