Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Divorce means even more rumors

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher in 2010

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are a couple no more, two months after Ashton's sixth-anniversary gift to Demi of a scandal around his alleged infidelity with a San Diego party receptionist while she was off working in New York City. Her belated gift to him was, of course, her decision Thursday to get a divorce.

After his-and-hers statements Thursday, speculation -- some of it humorous -- has filled the information vacuum. Prepare yourself for some gossipy gossip, which we hope you'll keep in the proper perspective.

Who gets Bruce Willis? What will @mrskutcher's new Twitter handle be? Will this drama, like the life of Charlie Sheen, be incorporated into Ashton's "Two and a Half Men" character's story line? (Whoops, too late on that last one, as Kutcher's Walden Schmidt has already been suffering the pain of a divorce from a wife who told him he was emotionally immature.)

Then there's the open-marriage buzz. "Everyone in Hollywood knows about their arrangement," an unnamed "insider" told the Star tabloid, "but they've managed to keep it a secret from the general public."

Chelsea Handler, who said she doesn't know them "personally very well," opined to a shocked, simply shocked Piers Morgan on his CNN show that "I think they probably had a lot of good times with some other women... Clearly they had a lot of threesomes, that led to twosomes without Demi and that leads to a divorce." After watching tape of the couple on a previous "Piers Morgan Tonight," she added, "I absolutely feel for her."

One such twosome was allegedly with Sara Leal, who went public with her claim that they'd had unprotected sex twice, that Ashton was not "weird or perverted," and that they'd talked about astrological signs and politics afterward.

Leal said he'd told her he was "separated," and she believed him.

And still bubbling in the background -- as opposed to bubbling in the hot tub allegedly shared pre-coitally by Kutcher, Leal and another young lady, all of them naked --  is a slightly lower-profile scandal from 2010, involving a woman named Brittney Jones who claimed she and Ashton had done the nasty while Demi was out of town.

"Ashton told me that both he and Demi had an 'open relationship' and that he was not in fact cheating,"  Jones told TMZ on Friday, adding that even though divorce is a bummer, she felt somewhat vindicated.

Jones' veracity became suspect when she released a sex tape late last year, using Kutcher's name to market it (though not claiming he was in it). He threatened to sue her, and then Ashton and Demi launched a charm offensive on Twitter and elsewhere, declaring their marriage to be rock solid.

After the Leal revelation, the couple pretty much kept their mouths shut, up until Thursday. Except for his pro-Joe Paterno tweet. Oops.

Now, with all that muck having been raked, it seems divorce might actually bring a bit of good news for Demi, who some have worried looks scary thin these days. Turns out women and men alike tend to gain weight "in a period of marital change," according to our friends at Booster Shots.

So bring on the comfort food, soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Kutcher. It's what happens next.

Demi Moore to file for divorce; Ashton Kutcher responds on Twitter

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore

Demi Moore has filed for divorce from Ashton Kutcher, the 49-year-old actress said Thursday in a statement.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton," Moore said. "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."

Kutcher responded via Twitter, saying, "I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK."

The news marks the end of weeks of speculation as to the couple's status after rumors spread in September after a San Diego woman's detailed account of an alleged sexual tryst with the 33-year-old Kutcher led to widespread reports that Kutcher and Moore were splitting.

The couple had not spoken directly about the alleged affair, said to have happened the weekend of their sixth wedding anniversary, while Moore was in New York for work. Kutcher did send a Twitter message linking to the Public Enemy song "Don't Believe the Hype."

As recently as last month, Moore was spotted visiting Kutcher in his "Two and a Half Men" trailer, and the two went on a Kabbalah camping trip together. The two have attended several recent events solo, but both had been spotted wearing their wedding bands.

This could be the first divorce where the fate of a Twitter handle — Demi goes by @mrskutcher — is part of the negotiations.

Kat Von D says Jesse James cheated with 19 women in a year [Poll]

Kat Von D

Kat Von D is no longer giving ex-fiance Jesse James the benefit of the doubt, instead alleging that he cheated on her with at least 19 women while they were together.

Nothing like almost running out of fingers and toes keeping track of what a great guy someone isn't.

"Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year ... ," the "L.A. Ink" star wrote Sunday on Facebook.

"There was a time when I was confident and excited at proving the world wrong, because I believed so deeply in people's ability to change for the better. ... I did feel like it would be a positive thing for those who judged Jesse solely based on what they read in tabloids, to see that change is always possible."

The tattoo artist, 29, said she still believes that, by the way, but that she deserved "a big fat  'I told you so,' from everyone,' and wished she "didn't have to say, 'You all were more right than you'll ever know,' but you were."

Kat and Jesse went public as a couple in September 2010 after his marriage to Sandra Bullock unraveled in grand style over revelations of his infidelity. (It wasn't with her, Von D reminds folks, and indeed, the James-Bullock ninja divorce was final in June 2010.) Kat and Jesse got engaged in January, then broke up on and off until their final split in September. Her reality show "L.A. Ink" recently went off the air after four seasons.

Last May, James blamed an abusive childhood for his inability to keep it in his pants when he was with Bullock. "I was a terrorized kid," he said about the abuse he received from his father. "I was petrified of my dad.… It wasn't so much getting the ... beat out of me or getting my arm broken or getting kicked or whatever or punched, it was the in-between time. It was the fear of that happening again."

For those keeping track, James' other-woman tally hit three and maybe four when he was wasting Sandra Bullock's time. Talk about being afraid of bad things happening again.

In this situation, the Ministry doesn't have the heart to be unkind. And Kat says she still believes in love.

Your thoughts?

Ashton Kutcher gets a visit from Demi Moore on 'Men' set

Ashton Kutcher got a visit from Demi Moore

Ashton Kutcher may be keeping his head down through allegations of cheating that have rocked his life for the past month, but the actor got some unexpected support at work Friday from his wife, Demi Moore.

The actress and "Five" director turned up on the set of "Two and a Half Men" with daughter Rumer Willis, one report says, then spent the day lounging in Kutcher's luxurious trailer.

"He put his arm around Demi and they acted like a couple," a witness on set told Us magazine. "They were talking and smiling at each other. Everything seemed just like normal."

"Normal" could refer to a time before the spotlight hit Sara Leal, a San Diego woman whose detailed account of a supposed sexual encounter with Kutcher in September took a magnifying glass to his and Moore's six-year marriage.

Since Leal's big reveal, Kutcher and Moore have each been spotted wearing their wedding rings, and even took a Kabbalah camping retreat together. Work commitments such as Moore's recent New York appearance for the premiere of "Margin Call" and Kutcher's Hollywood Bowl appearance for the William J. Clinton Foundation's "Decade of Difference" weekend have been attended solo, however.

The social-media-savvy Kutcher has noticeably sidestepped the issue on various platforms, but there's one group from whom he insists on pure truth: the media!

Amid the couple's non-commenting, Kutcher seems disheartened by the "bastardization" of truth in social media and traditional publications, possibly over the very coverage of these events in his personal life.

"We really have to take it upon ourselves to instill a level of honesty in the works and media where we create and share with one another," he said in his Chime. In video.

No kidding, Ashton -- who in the video, by the way, did not wear his wedding band.

Ashton Kutcher and I had non-Republican sex twice, Sara Leal says

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher and Sara Leal did the nasty in a San Diego hotel room, according to the 22-year-old blond who has little to lose by kissing and telling stories about what she says happened between her and Demi Moore's husband.

They did it twice, she said. They did it without condoms, she said. And then they had a talk that touched on astrology and politics, during which she claims he said, "Oh my gosh, you're not a Republican, are you?"

Leal has finally broken her silence, as they say, spilling details to Us Weekly about events that she says went down between her and the "Two and a Half Men" star early Sept. 24, Kutcher and Moore's sixth wedding anniversary. She said he believed him when he told her he was separated from his wife. Also, she reportedly leans Democrat. Both are Aquarians.

"He was good," Leal told the mag. "It wasn't weird or perverted."

(Theoretically, that would be good news, right? Overlooking the underlying claim of infidelity?)

The kids -- OK, he's 33, but you get the idea -- had been up all night partying in a hotel room and hot tub in San Diego, administrative assistant Leal's current hometown. Kutcher was attending a tech conference, while his 48-year-old wife was off to New York for the Sept. 26 premiere of her contribution to the Lifetime breast cancer short-film anthology "Five," her first stint behind the camera.

Moore and Kutcher, who've been staying essentially mum since rumors started flying, were photographed together Saturday on a camping trip with close friends in Santa Barbara. That after being photographed heading into a Kabbalah service the weekend before. Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement, was Saturday (starting at sundown the day before).

So we turn to Twitter, where @aplusk and @mrskutcher notoriously hang out. A lot.

Moore last tweeted a smile Tuesday to a floral designer who'd complimented her short-film work. In the wee hours Wednesday, Kutcher tweeted thusly: "If we are not looking for one we are looking for the other Ctrl Esc," linking it to a picture of cuff links emblazoned with those keyboard abbreviations for "control" and "escape." Hours later, he made a reference to ET phoning home.

Make of it what you will.

Demi and Ashton: Is it a split in the Twitterverse?

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore: More mystery, allegations, silence

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are still in troubled tabloid waters

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's marital woes -- or the allegations and suspicions in that department -- won't go away.

The past weeks have been littered with reports of infidelity, isolation, hurt feelings and photos of a supposed San Diego mistress. But through everything, the pair have remained almost silent.

Embattled Kutcher, 33, is said to have gone wild in San Diego at a tech convention on the weekend of his sixth wedding anniversary to Moore, 48. Now, a new report suggests that the same weekend, Kutcher enjoyed the company of not one but two women at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel.

"Within five minutes, they were all naked in the hot tub, making out!" a source claimed to Us Weekly.

Salacious? Absolutely. Not that you can tell from Ashton and Demi's respective Twitter accounts. Both parties did send some mildly suggestive tweets last week, with Kutcher specifically warning folks not to assume anything about ... well, not to assume.

Ashton continues to sport his wedding ring and shows up for "Men" tapings -- thanking folks on Twitter for their support on the show -- while the Us report suggests Moore is "struggling. She's been alone a lot lately."

The Ministry isn't psychic, but Ashton and Demi's silent routine isn't making tabloid covers and rampant speculation disappear. Can they weather these reports by ignoring them? And for how long?

Maria Shriver support request challenged by Arnold Schwarzenegger

Maria Shriver

It was Maria Shriver who filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger going into 4th of July weekend, and now he has responded -- indicating in a form response filed this week that he'd rather not pay spousal support or shoulder 100% of the divorce-related attorney and legal fees.

Wait, wasn't he the one who admitted fathering a child out of wedlock with a longtime member of their household staff? True, but the move -- somewhat unusual, according to divorce attorneys who spoke to the Los Angeles Times -- might hint at the magnitude of the community-property split.

"His position is probably that she's going to have enough money that she won't need the support," Santa Monica divorce attorney Lynn Soodik said. "Either that, or he's being really aggressive."

The Terminator? Nevah!

Chris Hansen of 'To Catch a Predator' caught on hidden camera

Chris Hansen Chris Hansen, known for his "To Catch a Predator" series of reports for "Dateline NBC," has been caught on hidden camera himself in what is could turn out to be a compromising situation.

Hansen, 52 and a married father of two, was secretly videotaped June 24 arriving at the Ritz-Carlton's Angle restaurant allegedly with Kristyn Caddell, 30, according to the National Enquirer, which has the footage posted on its website. A "romantic dinner" ensued at the Manalapan, Fla., restaurant, according to an Enquirer source.

Cameras filmed them driving back to Caddell's Palm Beach apartment, where they didn't emerge until 8 the next morning, the story alleges. Caddell, who works for a local TV news station, then reportedly drove him to the airport, according to the tabloid.

A source confirmed to People on Thursday that the two had been "hooking up for months." Hansen has been in Florida covering the 2006 disappearance of Jimmy Trindade.

"To Catch a Predator" uses hidden cameras to catch men allegedly attempting to hook up with underage girls, with correspondent Hansen sitting down immediately with the "caught" folks to ask a few questions.

"With each guy who came in, you know I got a little better at asking the right questions," he said in 2007, reflecting on how the show got started.

"I wondered, quite honestly, whether or not everybody would just see me and run. Not because they knew I was Chris Hansen with 'Dateline NBC,' but you know whether it was a father who came home unexpectedly or was it the police? But it turned out most of the guys stayed and chatted."

His "gotcha" reputation earned Hansen meme status, including the classic "Why don't you have a seat over there?" animated gif often used on Internet discussion boards as commentary or a visual punch line.

He and his wife, Mary Joan Hansen, live in Connecticut with their two sons.

Arnold Schwarzenegger puts his acting career on hold

Arnold Schwarzenegger puts Cry Macho and Terminator film on hold.Arnold Schwarzenegger has gone from "Cry Macho" to crying uncle, putting his acting future on hold while he deals with, ahem, issues in his personal life -- this according to a statement out Thursday from the office of the Terminator.

"Gov. Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or time lines," his office said. "This includes 'Cry Macho,' the Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration."

And when will Arnold be back? He has called off his Creative Artists Agency reps until future notice, saying they "will resume discussions when Gov. Schwarzenegger decides." So much for the Shwarzenegger love-child scandal not affecting production.

Recent news that the actor and his wife, Maria Shriver, had separated was followed of course by the revelation Monday that Arnold had fathered a child with a household employee more than 10 years ago, during the course of his 25-year marriage. He said he told Shriver only in January about the situation, which involves a 20-year member of their staff who stopped working for the family that month.

Shriver has retained the services of a prominent divorce attorney, sources told People, though according to one person she "hasn't decided yet if she wants to end her marriage."

Schwarzenegger, 63, had planned to hit the post-political big screen with "Cry Macho," a drama about an aging horse trainer who, in a fit of desperation, is hired to kidnap the 9-year-old son of his former boss.

"Arnold always plays these big muscular guys, but there's a sweetness to Arnold in real life, and we want to bring that sweetness to the screen," producer Al Ruddy told Hollywood Reporter in early May. "Now that [director Brad Furman has] met with Arnold, he's convinced there's an accessibility and vulnerability there that he wants to bring out."

Just gonna let that hang there for a bit.

Schwarzenegger admits child with staffer, Shriver admits a 'painful and heartbreaking time'

Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to Maria Shriver that he had a child with another woman

Arnold Schwarzenegger on Monday admitted fathering a child 10 years ago with someone other than wife Maria Shriver, telling her about the child only this year.

The couple went public with their separation last week, but gave no reason at the time for the split after 25 years of marriage. Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four children together, ages 13 to 21.

"After leaving the governor's office, I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Schwarzenegger said Monday night in a statement issued to the Los Angeles Times, which broke the stories of the separation and the out-of-wedlock child.

Schwarzenegger, 63, handed over California's reins to Gov. Jerry Brown the first week in January. The staffer, who previously had said the child was hers by her ex-husband and had no comment after the former governor's public admission, retired in January after 20 years of service.

Photos: 25 years of the Schwarzenegger-Shriver marriage

"I wanted to achieve my 20 years, then I asked to retire," the former employee told The Times on Monday, adding that she'd received a severance payment and "left on good terms with them." The Times is not releasing her name or the name of her child, to protect their privacy. A source who wished to remain anonymous said Schwarzenegger took financial responsibility for the child from the start.

"This is a painful and heartbreaking time," Shriver, 55, said in a brief statement issued Tuesday morning. "As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment."

Schwarzenegger had addressed his family's feelings in his Monday statement.

"I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry," he said.

In October 2003, shortly before Schwarzenegger's gubernatorial election victory, half a dozen women spoke to the Los Angeles Times about alleged unwanted sexual contact with him in studio offices and in other settings in the '80s, '90s and 2000. "Did he humiliate me?" one said in describing an alleged 1980 encounter with the action star. "You bet he did." The number of women speaking out ultimately climbed to 16, and the actor issued a blanket apology before the vote was held.

The drama continued after the election results were in, with the governor-elect stating in November 2003 that he would hire a private investigator to look into the allegations, then announcing that December that no such investigation was needed.

Photos: A political marriage with star power

"I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time," Schwarzenegger's Monday statement concluded. "While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. "
