Grammy Awards: Moms-to-be Selma Blair, Jewel are *actually* incubating

Selma Blair Grammy Awards baby bump Though less eye-catching than Lady Gaga and her womb-like egg, a few women at this year's Grammy Awards were actually incubating not their creativity but their own bundles of joy.

Selma Blair turned up looking lovely in a flowy high-waisted gown, navy up top with ruffle details and a full gray skirt.

One hand on her bump, Selma was the picture of ethereal maternity chic.

Also looking the sunny pregnant lady, Jewel walked the carpet in a canary gown, with a jeweled clutch and a baby bump of her own.

Grammy Awards: Rihanna tells the Situation, 'Lift your shirt' [Video]

The Situation at the Grammys with Rihanna Rihanna may love the way you lie, but she also seems to love washboard abs with a burnt sienna hue.

The R&B songstress, who has been resting her voice as she fights bronchitis, bypassed most of the red carpet, trying to sneak through the back. But when she caught a glimpse of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino of "Jersey Shore," who was playing red carpet reporter for "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," the songstress had to call him over.

"She wanted me to lift my shirt," Sorrentino later shared with reporters.

"She's no grenade. We'll have to see what happens."

Oh, Sitch.

Grammy Awards: Lady Gaga has all eyes on her egg [Video]

Lady Gaga at the 2010 Grammy Awards Lady Gaga arrived in a giant egg at the Grammy Awards, rising above it all, literally, as she was toted through the preshow crowd Sunday night in Los Angeles, incubating in what her model-nurse handler called a "creative embryonic stage" ahead of her performance.

Check out video of the Lady Gaga egg-stravaganza above. Safe to say that while the procession was in progress, almost all eyes were on the egg. Click through for pictures of Egg a la Gaga.

No stranger to outrageous fashion, Lady Gaga had to arrive at the 2010  Grammys in a convertible instead of a limo because of the size of that year's Giorgio Armani creation, right. For the queen, Gaga wore red latex and for the 2010 Video Music Awards she famously wore meat.

Grammy Awards: 'Glee's' Naya Rivera swoons, Mark Salling gets stuck

Naya Rivera of Glee at the Grammy Awards "Glee" gal Naya Rivera admitted to a starstruck moment on the Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday. "I saw Nicki Minaj — died just a little bit!" said the actress, nominated with the rest of the "Glee" cast for pop performance by a group or duo with vocals.

This after Rivera revealed to the Grammys Live crew that at the series' start, she'd just hoped to hang in there for a few episodes.

Grammys-pictures3

"Don't Stop Believin' (Regionals Version)" was up against the ubiquitous "Hey Soul Sister (Live)" from Train, plus tunes from Paramore and Sade — with Train taking home the trophy early in the show. The first "Glee" soundtrack release is also up for compilation soundtrack album for motion picture, television or other visual media.

Meanwhile, costar Mark Salling had the tween girls swooning as he walked the concourse with a male friend. He stopped to pose for pictures with a pair of giggling junior high school girls before breezing past a concerned security guard and up the escalator to Premiere seating. That soon resulted in a bad-boy Puckerman moment — apparently Salling had the wrong ticket for that area, and Ministry eyes last saw him detained by another security guard just minutes before the show started.

And here we were thinking the "Glee" crew was getting too big for the red carpet — Rivera and Matthew Morrison were among those skipping interviews with the print media folks.

Morrison did tell E! News' cameras how the rest of the cast is handling that he's going to be out on tour with his solo album. "They're a little jealous, just because they have to go out on the 'Glee' tour," Morrison said. "They all have to go together!"

Grammy Awards: Rihanna rallies for Jay-Z's brunch

Rihanna before the Grammy Awards Rihanna's health has been a major topic of discussion this Grammy Awards week, as the singer -- slated to perform on the show with Drake -- has been battling bronchitis.

She skipped a Thursday appearance at the Entertainment Industry Foundation's "An Unforgettable Evening," but you can't keep RiRi down when it comes to her musical family -- she turned up Saturday afternoon at a brunch hosted by Jay-Z and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini (on the heels of Giannini's Friday honor).

Dressed in a simple white sheath and a major red locks, Rihanna stuck close to a group of female friends, barely saying a word in an attempt to rest her voice.

At West Hollywood's SoHo House, Ri's vow of silence was carried out at Jay's table, alongside a gorgeous Beyoncé as well as Will Smith. Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles acted as DJ for the cocktail and snack fete, relieved occasionally by DJ Mark Ronson.

Band members from Kings of Leon circulated among Juliette Lewis, Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine, Cassie, producer The-Dream, Ryan Phillippe, Camilla Belle, Adrien Brody, Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery, Simon RexRufus Wainwright, and a Heidi Klum-less Seal.

Do you think RiRi can rally for her Grammy Awards performance?  Tell us in comments.

Grammy Awards: A little 'Jersey Shore' on the red carpet

Snooki at the Grammy Awards Looking like he just stepped out of a tanning salon, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino bypassed reporters on the Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday, throwing peace signs and flashing a grin on his way.

Perhaps he was giving first dibs on the spotlight to pals Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio?

Snooki-2010-grammys The Situation's "Jersey Shore" cast mates each had hosting duties for MTV and "Access Hollywood," respectively.

The year has treated Snooki well, in the Ministry's humble opinion. Though the smooch remains the same, she's taken a glam step up from last year's skintight purple number and black suede booties, above.

Grammy Awards: Lady Gaga arrives in a giant egg [Updated]

Lady Gaga arrives at the Grammys in a giant egg

Leave it to Lady Gaga to make an arrival at the 2011 Grammy Awards, creating a stir on the red carpet before anyone even saw her face: The pop star arrived Sunday afternoon in a massive egg toted on the shoulders of nubile men and women clad in gold.

Lady Gaga arrives in a giant egg Security motioned everyone to clear the area. Publicists and artists mounted the media sidelines as Gaga's minions passed.  Screams erupted after it became known who was inside.

(The little black dot on the back of the translucent egg appeared to be some sort of camera lens.)

First the meat dress, now an egg sarcophagus? Lady Gaga may be many things, but clearly she's no vegan.

Updated, 3:49 p.m.: "Lady Gaga is in creative embryonic stage and won't be born until her performance this evening," supermodel nurse Anne V told E! News, chatting about what Gaga was up to in her egg-shaped "womb."

Gwyneth Paltrow will sing at the Oscars (Grammys too, with Cee Lo)

Gwyneth Paltrow will sing at the Oscars Gwyneth Paltrow keeps whistling her awards season tune -- the actress has been on a roll since promoting her musical turn in "Country Strong" -- and now she's bringing it to the Academy Awards.

Paltrow will belt "Coming Home" from the "Country Strong" soundtrack on the James Franco- and Anne Hathaway-hosted telecast Feb. 27.

Others performing at the Academy Awards include Randy Newman with "We Belong Together" from “Toy Story 3," Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi singing "I See the Light" from "Tangled," and A.R. Rahman and Florence Welch, of Florence + the Machine, doing "If I Rise" from "127 Hours," which Rahman recorded with Dido.

After a respectable bow at the 2010 Country Music Awards, Paltrow is almost an old pro at booking these major gigs -- so it's natural she'd hitch her wagon to the Grammys on Feb. 13.

At the music award show, she'll join Cee Lo Green in support of his nomination for the infectious "Forget You" -- which Paltrow interpreted in 2010 as a guest star on "Glee."

Does all this Paltrow performing sound like beautiful music to you? Tell us in the comments section below.

Bruno Mars will plead guilty to cocaine possession

Bruno Mars cocaine plea deal Pop singer Bruno Mars will plead guilty to felony cocaine possession in exchange for no jail time and the possibility of having the charge wiped from his record in a year, the Grammy nominee told a judge Friday in Las Vegas.

Mars, 25, was arrested Sept. 19 in a bathroom at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino after a performance. Police said he handed over a bag containing 2.6 grams of cocaine, telling the arresting officer he'd never used drugs before.

The judge set a Feb. 14 court date for the plea, which will come the day after the "Just the Way You Are" singer, real name Peter Hernandez, performs at the Grammy Awards. Mars' seven nominations include record of the year for "Nothin' on You," his tune with B.o.B; song of the year for co-writing Cee Lo Green's "... You"; and best male pop performance for "Just the Way You Are."

Mars will be on the hook for a $2,000 fine, drug counseling and 200 hours of community service, and if he keeps his nose clean (so to speak) for a year the conviction will disappear.

Compare that to fellow first-time offender Paris Hilton's deal: After a DUI traffic stop -- she wasn't driving -- 0.8 gram of cocaine fell out of her purse in front of an officer who'd escorted her to the ladies room. Arrested on felony counts, Hilton pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession and obstruction of justice, and got the same fine and community service, and a year probation.

Hilton might envy Mars' no-record option: Her drug conviction kept her out of Japan mere hours after she left court in September.

Chris Brown passes a milestone, asks court to lift protective order

Chris Brown asks court to lift protective order regarding Rihanna

Chris Brown's life got a whole lot easier Friday, as a judge congratulated the R&B singer on finishing a domestic violence education program -- a milestone that means he will no longer have to be present in court for progress hearings every three months.

Brown finished the 52-week course in December, proudly posting his certificate online. He was sentenced to five years' probation and 180 days of community service, plus the class, after pleading guilty in August 2009 to the felony assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna after a party the night before the Grammy Awards in February 2009.

A five-year protective order requiring Brown to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna, or 10 yards if they were both at the same industry function (say, on the Grammys red carpet), was also put in place.

Given Brown's progress and no incidents related to the two crossing paths, Judge Patricia Schnegg on Friday seemed inclined to change it to a "level one, do not annoy" order, but acting in what she called "an abundance of caution," she said she'd consider the change after Rihanna's attorney was consulted. Rihanna had said previously through her attorney that the order wasn't necessary.
