PARTY OF NO! No Mrs. Michael Jackson; no KStew-Jesse James mistress link; no more music from Miley Cyrus

Jackson michael The Ministry of Gossip is throwing a little "party of no" -- or maybe it's a "party of know" -- as we close out the week. Grab what you want from the fridge, there are snacks out on the patio, and you can grab a seat anywhere.

Now seems like a good time to get a few things straight, no?

There is no secret Mrs. Michael Jackson, the singer's estate reports to the court. This should upset a few folks who've sent a few e-mails. You know who you are. TMZ

Similarly, there is no Christmas-dinner BFF link between "The Runaways" star Kristen Stewart and self-reported Jesse James Mistress No. 3, Brigitte Daguerre. Gossip Cop

Also, no good reason to hang around Jesse James' West Coast Choppers with a camera. CBS News

No sign of Sandra Bullock. Celebrity-Gossip.net

No reason to worry your text messages will be sold to a tabloid. Tiger Text

No divorce brewing for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott. OK! Magazine

No place like (a new) home for Susan Boyle. People

Also, no more music from Miley Cyrus after her June release. She's all about movies now. E! Online

Hopefully that's enough oppositional behavior to get you through the night. Let's toast to a good weekend, shall we?

Think the Ministry is really done? The answer would be no!

No, Beyonce isn't pregnant

No, MTV didn't ban "Telephone"

No truth to the rumor that Kristen Stewart can't smile

Nancy O'Dell says adios to 'Access Hollywood'

Nancy Nancy O'Dell, the entertainment reporter who has been a part of "Access Hollywood" since it premiered in 1996, is taking a bow and leaving the show.

She'll still host NBC's coverage of the Tournament of Roses parade on New Year's Day, she told the Associated Press, but will wrap up work on "Access" this week.

Her publicist says only that O'Dell is pursuing a new opportunity.

In addition to "Access," O'Dell has played a reporter on several TV shows. She's also written a book about pregnancy and appeared as a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars" until she was sidelined by an injury.

So about that whole 'comments of the week' thing ...

Sully Some of the folks who've been hanging around the Ministry of Gossip since the early days might remember a quiet little post about "comments of the week" -- a feature I'd intended to do on a regular basis.

Oops, my bad.

Turns you all are really into speaking your minds -- which is, believe me, fantastic -- but it's also meant that keeping up on individual comments has been more challenging than I'd imagined. There are a lot of 'em!

I can't do justice to the original concept, so instead I'll direct folks to where the action was in the week (or two) prior.

Click onward for the links, and thanks for spending time at the Ministry.

'Overwhelmed' Rachel Uchitel hires celebrity attorney Gloria Allred

Allred
Rachel Uchitel
, the recently famous nightclub manager, has hired Gloria Allred, the "most famous woman attorney practicing law in the nation today" because, Uchitel tells E! News, she's "overwhelmed" by all the scrutiny surrounding allegations of an affair with Tiger Woods, which she and the golfer both categorically deny.

"I'm not OK! This is awful," Rachel told Hollywood Life.

Reminds the Ministry a little of the Josh Duhamel-Fergie-stripper fiasco. Except in that case, the third party was saying something more along the lines of, "Heck yeah it happened, just don't tell my kids."

And Josh doesn't quite have Tiger's swing.

Regarding Uchitel, Allred told the Associated Press, "We plan to meet and then we'll decide on the next step, which we do not plan to announce to the press."

This isn't the first high-profile lawyer on the scene.

The Ministry of Gossip's comments of the week

Screamer The Ministry of Gossip loves comments, so each week we're going to highlight a handful that stood out to us for one reason or another -- and announce our fave. MOG's debut week has been a short one, but the comments were still bold and beautiful

Here are some opinions of note for the Gossip Week ending Friday, Nov. 20, 2009:

I love Johnny Depp as an actor - he's brilliant, but afraid I don't find him sexy (with apologies to one of my dearest friends who would disagree with me vehemently here). I'd like to know where the heck Gerard Butler is on the list - oh, he didn't make it yet again? Boo hiss! I no longer see much validity in People's selections because it seems they are fixated on the same guys over and over - except I was very thrilled to see Adam Lambert make the list. One day I hope to see the true paradigm shift the year Adam makes the cover of this issue.

  • So did El Guapo de la cuidad de los angeles, who made us laugh:

I can't believe I'm not on the list.

He showed up earlier this month during a Maroon 5 concert at St. John's University doing the same thing.

Ron, you are correct, and we'd love to embed that video as well, but unfortunately the students at St. John's have a different way of saying "make love." But search "Jason Segel Maroon 5" on YouTube to check it out. The Ministry thinks the sound is more clear on that video, incidentally.

  • Commenter dave weighed in on the "Video Phone" post, getting extra points for calling it as he sees it on the eye candy angle:

Song is pretty lame, but lots of eye candy, so it's was worth it, lol. Maybe it's just my preference, but putting them side by side, Lady Gaga couldn't really hold up to beyonce on the hotness meter.

  • And commenting about Chris Brown's probation progress, we heard from MOG reader nope. The Ministry played it light on that post, and nope lobbied against the snark.

So, the commenters must be over 13. Are the writers of the the article over this age???
1) "Talked and laughed" with lawyer. I guess this is to make it seem like he's taking this as a joke, right? Project much??
2) Riri also said she likes his music and misses him still. I guess that didn't fit w/ the tone of the article. Snark much?
3) No, CB probably won't be attending any awards shows for a while, but guaranteed, he won't be down forever.

Of course, most stories have more than one point of view -- thanks for giving us yours! And yeah, the Ministry is tragically older than 13. Good for getting into bars, not so good for getting out of bed in the morning.

The winner and fabulous prize are after the jump.
