'Hunger Games' star Josh Hutcherson to receive GLAAD honor

Exclusive: Josh Hutcherson will get GLAAD's Van Guard award
The Ministry is happy to exclusively tell you that Josh Hutcherson, "The Hunger Games"'s Peeta Mellark, will receive a top honor from GLAAD come Saturday.

As part of the Los Angeles stop on their annual Media Awards circuit Hutcherson is to receive the Van Guard award, handed to one who increases the visibility and understanding of LGBT folks.

"Emerging as a leader in a new generation of equality advocates, Josh Hutcherson has consistently used his platform to help young people understand that no one should face discrimination simply because of who they are," said newly christened GLAAD President Herndon Graddick in a statement.

Hutcherson is involved in "Straight But Not Narrow," a campaign backed by several young actors including "Glee's" Cory Monteith, encouraging straight youth to accept their LGBT peers.

Josh is the award's youngest recipient. Previous winners include Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron, Whoopi Goldberg and the late TV mogul Aaron Spelling.

The GLAAD Media Awards will take palce at Downtown L.A.'s Westin Bonaventure hotel, with additional honors going to Chaz Bono, a musical performance from Jason Mraz and a special show opener from Ellen DeGeneres.

Exclusive: Pete Yorn marries photographer Beth Kaltman before tour kickoff

Pete Yorn is married Congratulations to rocker Pete Yorn -- we can exclusively report that the indie singer recently tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Beth Kaltman.

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Yorn and his sweetheart hit a Los Angeles courthouse to make their union official, a source close to the situation tells the Ministry.

"After the courthouse, they had a small ceremony with about 20 friends and family," the source said. An informal reception followed at Santa Monica's Shutters on the Beach hotel.

Kaltman, a photographer, jewelry designer and former model, didn't go through a painstaking planning process. "It was a simple, impromptu wedding before Pete goes on tour," the source said. After the reception, the pair headed to Santa Barbara for a weekend honeymoon.

"They've been dating for years and are so happy," a friend of the couple tells us.

The wedding party was low-key, but Yorn counted his two power-player brothers in attendance. Lawyer Kevin reps clients including Scarlett Johannson and Ellen DeGeneres; agent Rick's Artists Management Group has Justin Timberlake and Martin Scorsese in its stable.

Yorn kicks off his nationwide tour in February. The rocker has enjoyed solo success, as well as a  collaboration with Johannson on a 2009 album titled "Break Up."

Repeated calls to label reps and Yorn management were not returned.

EXCLUSIVE: BooBoo Stewart on his 'New Moon' premiere night

BooBooStewart BooBoo Stewart, the youngest member of the "Twilight" saga's wolf pack, doesn't make his official debut until the franchise's third film, "Eclipse," but he got his first taste of vampire magic at Monday night's "New Moon" premiere.

"You've never seen anything like it," he tells the Ministry of Gossip exclusively. "The fans were screaming, it was awesome."

Stewart (not to be confused with lead Kristen) and his sister Fivel prepped with a private hair session at West Hollywood's Parlour on 3rd, where they lifted his locks into a dapper coif -- rivaling the volume of that belonging to one Robert Pattinson.

"The second we left the salon, there were paparazzi everywhere," Stewart said.

From the salon, the duo hit the red carpet for more than two hours with the media, where naturally he was hounded about his personal life.

"Everyone asked if I had a girlfriend, but I always answer 'No,' because I don't."

Breathe a collective sigh of relief, fans.

After the onslaught, Boo Boo sat down to see "Twilight: New Moon" for the first time. And what did he think?
