Drew Barrymore: Will Kopelman slips 4-carat ring on her finger

Drew

Has someone finally tamed Drew Barrymore's wild heart?

To be fair, the former wild child has maintained a hippie-fringed grace for quite some time since her David Letterman-flashing days, but she's certainly had her ups and downs in love. A major up: She's engaged to art world player Will Kopelman.

Consultant Kopelman, the son of former Chanel U.S. honcho Arie Kopelman, has been taking up with the "Charlie's Angels" beauty since last award season.

Will popped the question in Sun Valley, Idaho, with quite a rock according to People: a radiant-cut stunner weighing in at almost 4 carats.

It's an impressive piece of jewelry and we certainly hope it'll be the bling that counts. Barrymore loves herself an engagement. Her first came at the ripe old age of 16, when she was set to wed Leland Hayward, a Hollywood producer's grandson.

Then it was actor Jamie Walters, to whom she was betrothed for a year, followed by an actual marriage to English barkeep Jeremy Thomas in 1994. After splitting with Thomas, she wed comedian Tom Green in 2001; they divorced five months later.

Barrymore has also been romantically linked to the Strokes' drummer Fabrizio Moretti and of course actor Justin Long (no engagement there). The Ministry thinks Kopelman is a catch.

Drew Barrymore directs Chloe Moretz in 'Our Deal' music video

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore gave herself a lesson in modern teen idols as the former child star recently directed a music video starring Chloe Moretz, Miranda Cosgrove, Donald Glover and Tyler Posey of "Teen Wolf."

Best Coast's song "Our Deal" got the video treatment from Barrymore, who combined elements of "Romeo & Juliet" and "West Side Story" for the video, produced with MTV and Mean's Supervideo.

Moretz, of "Kick-Ass" and "Let Me In" fame, plays a pompadoured member of the gang Night Creepers who falls for Posey, a member of the Day Trippers. The star-crossed lovers meet for twilight bonding, but soon confront their fate as born enemies (watch the video below).

Not to spoil anything, but those who stayed awake in freshman English class know it doesn't end well for Romeo and Juliet. Barrymore, however, pulls off a solid effort with some of the teen set's biggest names.

The video serves as an appetizer for Barrymore's next directing gig: helming the feature "How to Be Single," a decade's worth of stories about solo New Yorkers. Her first time behind the camera was in 2009, for the roller-derby flick "Whip It!"

Drew Barrymore to direct 'How To Be Single'

Drew Barrymore to direct 'How to be Single' Drew Barrymore is climbing back into the director's seat with a new rom-com called "How to be Single" that her company Flower Films is producing.

"How to be Single," the big-screen adaptation of Liz Tuccillo's novel of the same name, looks at the relationship ups-and-downs of a collection of New Yorkers over 10 years using multiple story lines like "Valentine's Day" and "He's Just Not That Into You," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The face of Cover Girl made her directorial debut with in 2009 with "Whip It" starring Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig. She's no stranger to the date-movie genre either (think "Never Been Kissed," "50 First Dates," "The Wedding Singer," "Lucky You").

If her relationship with "Going the Distance" costar Justin Long is any indication, she knows a thing or two about the single life as well.

If only she could cast Adam Sandler in the film. Ah, the Ministry can dream...

Taylor Swift, Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres celebrate CoverGirl's 50th anniversary

Drew Barrymore Covergirl 50th anniversary It was all easy, breezy, beautiful CoverGirls -- such as Taylor Swift, Drew Barrymore and Queen Latifah -- in West Hollywood on Thursday night. A bevy of the brand's spokesgals and celebrity admirers turned up to celebrate the makeup line's 50th anniversary.

At Boa, the swank steak joint just below Soho House, cocktails and cookies were passed to the likes of "Glee" stars Amber Riley and Cory Monteith, a sherbet-colored Barrymore (right), Justin Bieber's lady friend Selena Gomez and "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh.

Without question, the room revolved around Portia and Ellen DeGeneres, who were all smiles and super affectionate as they worked the room.

Just as affectionate but perhaps less sought after were a sweet Kendra Wilkinson and football-playing hubby Hank Baskett (her post-baby body is a solid 10 by now, FYI). Click the picture of them, above, to see more from the red carpet.

Kyle Richards of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" schmoozed near a CoverGirl photo booth with an army of seasoned models -- such as Niki Taylor, Rachel Hunter and Cheryl Tiegs, and reality girls Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port

The shindig came on the heels of the People's Choice Awards after party at the Conga Room -- a first stop for folks such as Walsh -- where Ultimat vodka toasted nominees and winners.

'Going the Distance' premiere: Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Christina Applegate [videos]

At the Hollywood premiere of "Going the Distance," there seemed to be one somewhat awkward question everyone had for the movie's stars Drew Barrymore and Justin Long: What's it like to work with someone you've had an on-again, off-again romantic relationship with?

"Awful, just awful," Barrymore deadpanned on the red carpet Monday night.

Going the Distance premiere photo gallery with Drew Barrymore "I wouldn't say awful," Long chimed in. "I'd say 'meh.' M-e-h, if you need to quote me. No, it was great."

The movie, in which the pair play a couple who become entangled in a long-distance relationship, is rated R -- giving the film an edginess that was intentional, Barrymore said.

It's a "romantic comedy that's more real and more adult and not sort of based in necessarily a fairy-tale setting, even though I love those movies," she said.

Long described it more succinctly: "It's not schmaltzy."

Christina Applegate, who plays the sister of Drew's character in the movie, said the two were ...

Drew Barrymore styles herself in line with the economy

DrewBarrymore Actress, director, producer and ... recessionista? Drew Barrymore certainly put in a bid for the latter title on Tuesday night in West Hollywood, choosing some thriftier threads for a party at the swanky London Hotel.

The star turned out to celebrate her September Nylon magazine cover, wearing a vintage find by Janine that she kept telling inquiring minds "was, like, 25 dollars." Among those interested -- newly single Kelly Osbourne (looking super skinny) and Carmen Electra, who were also treated to goodies from  Express' pop-up denim bar.

"How to Make It in America" costars Lake Bell and Bryan Greenberg got chummy, while Gabrielle Union, Amber Heard, Serena Williams and Mrs. Channing Tatum -- that's Jenna Dewan -- circulated on the rooftop above Gordon Ramsey's namesake restaurant.

Barrymore will next star in "Going the Distance," opposite her on-and-off real-life love interest Justin Long.
