What's the story from the New York premiere of the new romantic comedy "Morning Glory"?

Well, the film's lead, Rachel McAdams, showed off her curves in a form-fitted gunmetal rouched Lanvin number while costar Diane Keaton-- known for her unique fashion stylings -- managed to be sexy and warm in a black leather mini dress over a black turtleneck. Actors Harrison Ford and Jeff Goldblum coordinated with their leading ladies in grays and blacks while Patrick Wilson, who plays McAdams' love interest,  stepped out in a blue Reiss suit. Perhaps he didn't get the memo?

Morning-glory-premiere"Morning Glory," which opens in theaters Wednesday, is about unemployed yet ambitious TV producer Becky Fuller (McAdams), who takes on the daunting task of breathing fresh life into a poorly rated morning news talk show called "Daybreak" -- which wouldn't be so hard if her hosts, Keaton and Ford, would stop their bickering. Here's a photo gallery of more stars at the "Morning Glory" premiere.

Jodie Foster, Gwyneth Paltrow and more are Elle's Women in Hollywood for 2010

Elle-magazine-winners

With honoring the fairer sex all the rage lately, Elle magazine had quite a stable of talent at its annual Women in Hollywood honors on Monday -- saluting Jodie Foster, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Hilary Swank, Sofia Coppola, Diane KrugerKerry Washington, Diane Keaton and newcomer Jessica Chastain

Elle-gallery-refer  The femmes and their admirers gathered at Beverly Hills' Four Seasons Hotel for garden cocktails and dinner, with producer and director Adam Shankman, who served as master of ceremonies, not hiding his resentment in not being included on the list.

"I've shopped with you, tweeted you, and I've had sex with most of your boyfriends," he cracked, wondering aloud what it takes to make the cut.

Elle Editor in Chief Robbie Myers suggested, in her opening remarks, that the Women in Hollywood portfolio was about being dynamic and successful in a "free society" -- plus really famous actresses got to meet other really famous actresses.

Diane Keaton feels right at home amid the books

Diane Though acting has always been "Something's Gotta Give" star Diane Keaton's bread and butter, don't count the bubbly eccentric out of the publishing game.

Keaton hosted a release party for Taschen Books' "Los Angeles, Portrait of a City" last night in Hollywood -- with Vanity Fair, Fendi and Planet Illogica -- where she indicated that she's picking up her pen soon.

"I'm working on some stuff," Keaton mentioned to the Ministry when asked if she would follow up her 2007 architecture book "California Romantica: Spanish Colonial and Mission-style Houses." The actress is an avid restorer of L.A.-area homes.

Keaton toasted "Portrait of a City" editor Jim Heimann along with photographer David LaChapelle, Playboy guru Hugh Hefner, actress Kelly Lynch and the gorgeous Gabrielle Union at the landmark Cross Roads of the World in Hollywood. Contributing authors are USC history professor Kevin Starr and Los Angeles Times books editor David L. Ulin.

The crowd at the benefit for the Los Angeles Conservancy sipped bubbly over the book, a retrospective in portraits of building L.A from the ground up, though almost everyone left clutching Vanity Fair's December issue, featuring cover boy Robert Pattinson.

Keaton, who recently starred in "Mad Money," will be seen next on screen with Rachel McAdams and Patrick Wilson in "Morning Glory," due out in summer 2010, about a struggling morning news show.
