David Arquette apologizes for blabbing about sex life with Jasmine Waltz, no-sex life with Courteney Cox [poll]

David-arquette-apologizes

David Arquette has apologized for blabbing too much information on Howard Stern's radio show Tuesday, but it's not exactly clear to whom he's apologizing.

Arquette on Tuesday shared the family-friendly details that he and wife Courteney Cox hadn't had sex in months — it went public Monday that they're separated — and, more specifically, that they hadn't had sex together in months, but that he and bartender Jessica Waltz had rocked a little sumpin' sumpin' at least once once, maybe twice.

"I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing but while doing that I shared too much ... it's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled. Life is a process of spiritual evolution," Arquette wrote on his Twitter page. "I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we've learned."

So the wife of 11 years can't be happy, clearly, because who wants to be known as the partner who

David Arquette might be a little immature for Courteney Cox? What, did the pro wrestling give him away?

In case you were thinking David Arquette and Courteney Cox were a match made to last, check out the video above, in which one of the spouses definitely acts a bit like the parent of the other spouse.

One thing about a guy who's been a wrestling world champion -- nobody should really be that shocked when he goes on Howard Stern's radio show and talks about no, not having sex with his wife for months, and yes, having sex with a bartender during that time. Even when that broadcast comes the day after "sources close to" the husband and wife leak that divorce isn't necessarily a given.

(Why do we have this weird feeling that the rapper incarnation of Joaquin Phoenix is going to pop up soon, a la Chris Matthews on "To Catch a Predator," just to monitor Arquette's separation progress?)

For those unfamiliar with Arquette's wrestling past, we present a video below of the "Ready to Rumble" actor's WCW World Championship win in an April 2000 match against Jeff Jarrett,

David Arquette talks to Howard Stern about Courteney Cox split [polls]

David Arquette In confirming their separation Monday after 11 years of marriage, David Arquette and Courteney Cox asked pretty much everyone to show them "respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time."

On Tuesday, Arquette phoned up Howard Stern and broadcast the fact that he and Cox hadn't had sex for months -- hey, thanks for sharing -- and that she'd told him, "I don't want to be your mother anymore."

He continued about his own immaturity: "I've been going to therapy," he said. "I'm trying to grow up."

Arquette, 39, also discussed his "one conquest" since he and Cox, 46, separated: Jasmine Waltz, 28, a woman known for giving Lindsay Lohan a punch in the face as the actress celebrated her 24th birthday. Waltz had no comment when asked about Arquette.

So riddle us this ...

Courteney Cox, David Arquette are separated [updated]

Cox-arquette Courteney Cox and David Arquette, who met on the set of "Scream" in 1996 and married in 1999, have separated, the actors confirmed Monday in a statement.

The two struck a deal for a trial separation, which People reports has been the situation for a while now, to "better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."

Sources connected with the couple told TMZ, which first reported the split, that the months-old separation finally went public Monday because photos had allegedly surfaced of Arquette with another woman. He was photographed in September minus his wedding ring.

That said, those people also said it isn't a given that Cox, 46, and Arquette, 39, will divorce. They have one daughter, Coco, who's 6.

"We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well," the couple said in their statement.

Arquette seemed in good spirits Saturday, attending Seth MacFarlane's party without Cox and hanging with pal Jeff Beacher. He and Beacher are collaborating on an alternative variety show going up at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, with Arquette as emcee.

And no matter their marital status, Cox and Arquette still have a date this spring to promote their movie "Scream 4."

[For the record, 9 a.m. Oct. 12: An earlier version of this article said the couple met in 1994 on the set of "Scream." They met in 1996 while working on that film.]
