Chaz Bono: Cha-cha-chatting after 'DWTS' debut [Video]

Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer rehearse for Dancing With the Stars

"Dancing With the Stars" fans who wanted to see Chaz Bono in action with Lacey Schwimmer had to stay up late Monday night: The heavily hyped duo were the final performers on the 12-dance "DWTS" season 13 premiere.

Bono didn't seem too sure of things in the clip leading up the the performance. "Being in your 40s, and overweight, it kills my body," he said. "I really wanna not suck."

Mama Cher, however, was stoked when the music was over, tweeting, "WOW! HOW GREAT WAS MY SON! THE GREATEST THING, GREATEST THING, GREATEST THING NO MATTER WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! HES A WINNER! I Was So Nervous!"

The judges were also receptive, giving the two a score of 17 on a night when the numbers ranged from 14 (Ron Artest, newly renamed Metta World Peace) to a couple of 22s (singer Chynna Phillips, actor-veteran J.R. Martinez). Comments included

The Ministry's vote for contestant most likely to be spotted walking on air in the near future, however, goes to the boyish David Arquette, who appeared to thoroughly enjoy his time on the dance floor -- as well as the presence in the audience of daughter Coco, with estranged but smiling wife Courtney Cox.

Check out Chaz and Lacey's post-game interview with ABC, below.

David Arquette, Courteney Cox reunite for Art of Elysium dinner

David Arquette hosted a private dinner for The Art of Elysium this week

David Arquette and Courteney Cox reunited at his place this week for a good cause: Arquette held a private, celeb-filled dinner for the Art of Elysium at his Beverly Hills pad.

A suit-clad Arquette welcomed guests for a meal and some education about the organization, which taps noted artists, actors and musicians to work with kids battling serious illness.

Topher Grace, Elijah Wood, Rachel Bilson, Ali Larter, Lukas Haas and Jamie King attended, witnessing a passionate speech from Arquette about the charity's mission. So passionate, a partygoer told the Ministry, that the separated couple high-fived after he spoke his piece.

Cox and Arquette split last October but remain friends in co-parenting their little gal, Coco. The do-gooding comes on the heels of Arquette lending some elbow grease to Habitat for Humanity, where the "Scream 4" star helped with home construction in Burbank.

The Elysium bash, which also attracted Michelle Trachtenberg, featured a three-course sit-down dinner and brut and rose Champagne from Beau Joie.

David Arquette may have given daughter Coco the best gift for her recent birthday -- leading by example.

Arquette showed up Friday at Lowe's Burbank for Habitat for Humanity's Build-A-Thon, an eight-day project to build eight homes with the assistance of the Hollywood community.

Arquette turned up on the dot at 8 a.m., an onlooker tells us, donned a hard hat and got to work amid the drizzly Southern California weather.

Though Coco, Arquette's daughter with Courteney Cox, had turned 7 on Monday, Arquette put down his power drill early to celebrate Friday. He apologized for leaving, but we're told no one faulted him for heading out to spend time with his little one.

Joe Manganiello, Ryan Phillippe take time out for Joseph Abboud watch launch

A little rain couldn't keep the boys inside Thursday evening: A slew of good-looking dudes, including Ryan Phillippe and Joe Manganiello, turned up at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood for the launch of Joseph Abboud Watch Collection.

The fete, hosted by Esquire, lured Ryan Phillippe (rocking major curls) after dinner at hotspot Craig's with pal Jesse Bradford. Clad in a grey sweater, Phillippe perused the watches with the help of brand creative director Bernardo Rojo.

He also mingled with "True Blood" actor Manganiello (clad head-to-toe in Abboud), Joe Jonas, Colton Haynes, "Vampire Diaries" actor Steve McQueen, Trevor Donovan and Rich Sommer.

Yet there were still more men: "Twilight" guys Xavier Samuels and Alex Meraz waved hello, as did chefs Curtis Stone and Todd English.

English, dapper in a sharkskin suit, chatted with the Ministry about his longtime admiration of Beso restaurant partner Eva Longoria and mentioned he might be expanding his television presence on Bravo.

Among the evening's hosts who were on hand: former NBC honcho Ben Silverman, "Entourage" executive producer Rob Weiss, photog Randall Slavin and PR guys Brad Zeifman and Shawn Sachs

'Scream 4' premieres with Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell

Scream 4 premieres with Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell

Monday evening saw a rare occasion in Hollywood -- plenty of "Scream" without a lot of fuss.

The long-awaited "Scream 4," part of Wes Craven's horror franchise, premiered at Grauman's Chinese theater with a bloody good party to follow at the Redbury Hotel.

David Arquette at the Scream 4 premiere Gracing the iron-clad screening at the movie house tiled with hand- and footprints of legendary stars, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette joined their boss Craven to greet an embarrassment of fans on Hollywood Boulevard.

"Scream" legacy Jamie Kennedy, a.k.a Randy Meeks, was among the first to hit the carpet, bemoaning his demise in the second film but showing support nonetheless.

Arquette followed, looking fit and optimistic after his stint in rehab, along with costars Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin, Shenae Grimes and Lucy Hale, not to mention the new film's major scene-stealer Alison Brie.

Cox and Campbell rolled up hand in hand, walking the carpet together looking sweet -- no surprise as Campbell, promoting the film a few weeks ago, told the Ministry that she'd never been closer to Courteney than when filming the newest chapter. Click the pic of Arquette for more photos from the red carpet.

At the Redbury afterward, Arquette couldn't be found but Cox held strong with a group of friends, chatting up Craven and producers. Her "Cougartown" costar Josh Hopkins turned up at the Axe Shower-sponsored fete, in casual glasses and a track jacket. Across the open-air terrace, Anna Paquin entertained some gal pals sans husband Stephen Moyer.

'Scream 4' movie premiere: Live from the red carpet

After keeping the "Scream" franchise in mothballs for more than a decade, director Wes Craven has returned to it with "Scream 4," featuring a brand new cast of pretty, young actors including Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin starring alongside regulars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and her estranged husband, David Arquette.

Despite some scandalous headlines, Cox and Arquette have maintained a civil tone toward each other in the media. So don't expect any red carpet fireworks at Monday's premiere of "Scream 4," assuming the two both show up as planned.

To see just who does show up (if her Twitter excitement is any sign, you can count on seeing Roberts), check back here at 6:30 p.m. PDT for a live stream from the "Scream 4" premiere.

Exclusive: Sarah Silverman, Conan O'Brien, David Arquette tapped for 'Hollywood Bites Back!'

Hollywood-bites-back

Sarah Silverman is known for her funny bark, but come April she'll be using her bite. So will Conan O'Brien, David Arquette, Elizabeth Banks and B.J. Novak.

Those stars will align April 16 at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre for "Hollywood Bites Back!," an evening of laughs to support the Comedy Fights Malaria campaign, launched in October 2010 to address the devastating effects of the disease worldwide.

"I am honored to have been asked to take part in this important event," O'Brien said in a statement.
"I just hope that we can find a better cure for malaria than comedy."

The organization launched with a series of PSAs starring the likes of Banks, John Mayer, Lake Bell and Orlando Bloom, aiming to raise funds for malaria treatment and prevention in regions including Africa, which saw about 781,000 deaths last year from malaria, mostly among children under 5.

For comedy fans in Los Angeles, or those looking to swat at malaria, tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster.

Courteney Cox: David Arquette is 'not a malicious person'

Courteney Cox There are still no hard feelings between Courteney Cox and David Arquette, the actress maintains in a new interview.

"You can't really get mad at David because he's not a malicious person," Cox tells Harper's Bazaar.

Drenched in soft and sleek dresses and rocking some diva hair, Cox posed for photog Terry Richardson in a spread with a decidedly '70s feel -- and had some thoroughly modern issues on her mind.

"I don't know what's going to happen" as far as Arquette's future and sobriety are concerned, Cox said, "but I don't think he'll be doing more Howard Stern any time soon. He's not out to harm. But I'm his biggest protector. I can't help it."

He could sure use the protection with a ghost-faced killer running around. The now-estranged couple met on the set of Wes Craven's horror franchise "Scream," and will help release the fourth installment on April 15.

David Arquette fine after car accident (dragon's blood comes in handy)

David-arqette-dragons-blood David Arquette is fine after getting in a head-on car accident in Beverly Hills on Friday -- and, who knew, it appears he might be related to Charlie Sheen in some way.

"I got into a car accident but I'm fine," Arquette said Friday afternoon on Twitter. "Luckily I have dragon's blood running through my veins. Haha Thank you for all your concern."

This dragon's blood revelation, of course, comes the same week as Sheen's admission that he actually has tiger's blood. Our B-positive blood is suddenly looking so -- inadequate. Not to mention at a distinct disadvantage in a jungle brawl.

The 39-year-old actor swerved into oncoming traffic while he was trying to avoid another car around 2 p.m. Friday, said TMZ, which had a picture of him lying on the grass nearby after the crash. His Cadillac was pretty munched up in front, and the actor was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital. The accident happened in the 600 block of N. Doheny Drive near Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills, according to KABC.

Arquette and wife Courteney Cox have been separated since October.

One last thing, though: Arquette's first tweet about the accident read, "Remember to wear your seatbelt -- wish I was."

We're going to assume he was joking. Or else we'd have to slap him upside the head.

David Arquette leaves rehab, treatment completed

David Arquette rehab Wow, time flies when you're having not quite as much fun -- David Arquette left rehab Sunday, having checked himself in over the New Year's weekend for treatment of alcoholism and depression.

"He has left after completing treatment," his rep told CNN International. Arquette entered an undisclosed live-in facility on Jan. 2.

Shoot, maybe Ted Williams just needed to hold on a couple more weeks?

Arquette's behavior had become increasingly more erratic after his separation from wife Courteney Cox went public in October.
