Zoe Saldana comes out of the closet at Women in Film's Crystal + Lucy Awards

Zoe-Saldana

At Women in Film's 2010 Crystal + Lucy Awards Tuesday night, Zoe Saldana finally announced that she was coming out of the closet.

As a straight woman, that is.

Accepting the MaxMara "Face of the Future" Award, the 31-year-old "Avatar" and "Star Trek" star said, "I have to thank that one special person who always gets buried and overlooked. I've lived a very private life, and I've been with a partner for 10 years who has allowed me to age ..."

"... which is absolutely awesome and he's super bright, and he's here tonight and I'm just going to come out of the closet right now. I'm going to say, 'Thank you.' I tend to confuse privacy with not saying thank you, so I love you."

And then the screens on either side of the stage flashed on her squeeze, former actor and chief executive of MyFDB.com Keith Britton

Now the Ministry is just as romantic as the next blogger, but we suspect that the lovely Saldana didn't just wake up and discover she was living with a cutie pie. We're placing our bets on the long arm of Siempre Mujer magazine, for Latinas living in the U.S., which put her on the cover of its April/May issue. English translations of the cover story, which ricocheted as far away as the Hindustan Times, had Saldana saying she wasn't surprised by rumors she was a lesbian: "People have sometimes told my grandmother, 'Your granddaughter has a bit of lesbianism in her.'"

What's cooking on Wisteria Lane? Dana Delany and friends rally behind Child Hunger Ends Here campaign

END_CHILD_HUNGER_2[1]

Something was amiss on Wisteria Lane.

"It's odd, because usually when I'm in this house, there's some dark secret," mused "Desperate Housewives" star Dana Delany.

On Wednesday morning, the Universal Studios suburbia set was the site of anything but -- Delany and other celeb supporters of Feeding America were there to publicize the new national Child Hunger Ends Here Neighborhood Rally campaign sponsored by ConAgra Foods.

As David Arquette and Melissa Rivers packed cans of pasta and other non-perishables into bags destined for area food banks, Delany talked about her cause: "We're here to educate the rest of the country that there's a problem, which is shocking to me, that one in four kids goes hungry.

"Someone from Con Agra called me directly because they know I'm cause-oriented, and when I heard the statistics, I said, ‘Yeah, I'll be glad to help.' And this is a natural tie-in, to have a neighborhood like this -- what we're trying to do is get people all over the country to have neighborhood events that will raise money for food banks in their own community."

Arquette, who is Feeding America's Entertainment Council chairman, knows his own neighborhood food bank well. For the last year and a half, he has spent two days a week helping out at ...

Gwyneth Paltrow enlists a few pals in praising personal trainer Tracy Anderson, post-Madonna

Gwyneth paltrtow Turns out her recent parting of the ways with Madonna wasn't the kiss of death for celeb trainer Tracy Anderson.

Though mildly scandalous rumors of neglect and too-extreme arm toning plagued Anderson late last year, A-lister Gwyneth Paltrow has featured the fitness guru yet again in her weekly online newsletter, Goop

"She has kicked my formerly sagging [butt] into shape and I will be forever grateful. This week, Tracy shares with us a little arm series that I did everyday preparing for Iron Man and that I take on the road," Gwyneth shares.

Not only does Paltrow sing the praises of that buttocks-saving Tracy Anderson Method, she sends along kind words from some of the trainer's other high-profile clients, including Courteney Cox-Arquette and "Sex and the City 2" star Kristin Davis.

"I have seen amazing results that I never thought were possible," Cox-Arquette said. "My butt has lifted, my arms are sculpted, and my skin is tight and actually clings to the muscle again."

Likewise, Davis finds the workouts "elongate and tone muscle. I’ve tried most of the classes and methods out there, and this is the first one that hasn’t added bulk over time (especially to my legs)."

Cox-Arquette displays her Anderson-enhanced bod each week on "Cougar Town." Paltrow and Davis will show off theirs this summer in theaters, with "Iron Man 2" and the "Sex" sequel, respectively.

David Geffen, in person, at the Geffen? (Kudos, Annette Bening!)

Geffen1 Something was definitely up Wednesday evening in Westwood: David Geffen was actually spotted at the Geffen Playhouse.

As a free service of the Ministry, we'd like to read that tea leaf for you: It was a starry, starry night.

At the opening of Joanna Murray-Smith's "The Female of the Species," Annette Bening headed up a cast that also included David Arquette and Julian Sands. And, of course, Hollywood begets more Hollywood: supportive spouses Warren Beatty and Courteney Cox-Arquette came with Arquette's sister, Rosanna. Patricia Arquette was also spotted, as was NBC Universal honcho Ron Meyer.

Kirk Douglas showed, and later got lost in a cloud of autograph hunters waving "Spartacus" soundtrack record covers. So did former Geffen actress Sharon Lawrence, "Let's Make a Deal's" Monty Hall and Peter Jacobson, a.k.a. Dr. Taub from "House M.D." They showed up, that is -- no "Spartacus" for them.
