Model Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, were the targets of an extortion scheme involving a "sexy photograph" of their daughter "in revealing clothing, bound to a chair and gagged," L.A. Now reports.
Edis Kayalar, 26, a German citizen, allegedly wanted $100,000 in July to return the snapshot of the then-7-year-old child and to not sell the picture to the kinds of media outlets that pay for information.
According to court documents, he said he'd stolen the shot from the child's former nanny. Kayalar was indicted in Los Angeles
The image has been described as a "prank photo," CBS reports.
Well, one would hope, yes? Ay yi yi.
