Kara DioGuardi sued over car accident she wasn't in

Kara DioGuardi sued over a car accident she wasn't involved in. Kara DioGuardi is being sued over a 2010 car accident, but there's a twist. She wasn't in either of the cars that were involved. Say what?

It turns out that Christina Kline, a former employee of the onetime "American Idol" judge, was behind the wheel of a 2005 BMW involved in a collision with Joel Postorino. Postorino has now filed a lawsuit claiming he suffered neck injuries when Kline rear-ended his Porsche at a Los Angeles intersection last May.

Kara's rep tells TMZ, "When Ms. Kline left Kara's company in November 2009, she was asked to remove Kara's name from the registration, but never did. She was in a car accident in May 2010 that Kara did not know about until yesterday when she was served papers."

The site also learned through Postorino's lawyer, Ira Fierberg, that his client will take the case before a judge in July and is asking for about $250,000 in damages.

All the drama comes the same week that the "Platinum Hit" judge is promoting her new memoir, "A Helluva High Note."

Robin Williams pulled over for riding his bike on sidewalk

Robin Williams Robin Williams had a run-in with the law recently when he was caught riding his bicycle on a New York City street — but that's not the shocking part. Apparently the comedian, starring in Broadway's "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo," was dressed as a "terrorist or a crack dealer" when he was pulled over by police.

As he told it to the ladies on "The View," he was cruising down the sidewalk on a one-speed track bike wearing a balaclava (a.k.a., a mask) and looking like a "terrorist or crack dealer."

Williams heard a "whoop, whoop" and "pull over." Once officers checked his ID and he pulled down the mask, they let him go with just a warning.

"I got hit by a bike on a sidewalk," Elizabeth Hasselbeck piped up during the story.

Williams poked back: "Well, then that's why. It is the law because of her."

The takeaway? Not every scary dude on a bike is a crack dealer or a terrorist — he could be Robin Williams.

Samantha Ronson in bicycle accident, posts photo of brutal bruises

Samantharonson_re This just in from the Celebrity DMV: Samantha Ronson posted a battered and bruised photo of herself on her blog after she crashed on her BMX bicycle Saturday while trying to avoid a car on her ride home.

"Wear a helmet kids!!!" she wrote, later tweeting, "Let this be a lesson... if you have a driver's license you probably don't need to be on a bmx bike."

Ronson, 33, notorious as Lindsay Lohan's on-and-off girlfriend, needed 12 stitches on her eyebrow, lip and forehead after the tumble, the New York Daily News reported.

The photo is pretty brutal, evoking an odd zombie-like vibe because the cuts and bruises are so dramatic. Still, Ronson had a quasi-positive, albeit self-deprecating, attitude about the injuries.

"Just a little uglier than usual. Other than that, Vicodin is handling the rest," she added in response to reply from a follower, throwing a couple of smiley-face emoticons in for good measure.

Lea Michele in minor car accident with drunken admirers

Lea michele car accident drunk girls Lea Michele's weekend hit a sour note in Los Angeles after the "Glee" actress' car was struck by some intoxicated fans.

En route home from the set of her hit show around 2 a.m. on Friday morning, Michele was "hit and notified police," her rep informed Us weekly. "She was not injured and is fine."

The report cites a source close to Michele as saying "a couple of drunk girls hit her, got out of the car, giggled that she was famous, said something like 'are you drunk, too?' Then they drove off."

Jeez! It's lucky that Lea has a few tricks up her sleeve to stay calm and focused. The star recently joined forces with Nike to discuss keeping up her fitness regime (lots of yoga) with such a hectic schedule.

As Michele's character Rachel Berry would say -- at least the tipsy chicks didn't fender bend her talent.
