Will Smith-Jada Pinkett Smith separation report denied [Updated]

Are Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith getting a divorce?

A report that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have separated after almost 14 years of marriage was met Tuesday by a declaration from Trey Smith, Will's son from his first marriage.

"Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split ! False information," Trey said on Twitter, repeating that sentiment several times over the course of the morning and asking his followers to retweet the information.

InTouch magazine, citing an unnamed "insider," reported the alleged separation online Tuesday and teased to its print edition for more information.

[Updated, 1:45 p.m. Aug. 23: "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false," the Smiths said Tuesday in a joint statement. "We are still together, and our marriage is intact." The statement was released shortly after this post was written.]

Us Weekly cited an "insider" alleging word of the split between Will, 42, and Jada, 39, to be "total" bull. Radar Online had an unidentified family member describing the couple as "totally together" and another source from Will's production company saying, "All is good in their relationship."

While the Ministry had queries out to the Smiths' reps, who by midday Tuesday had not commented on the reports, TMZ appeared to have woken up Jada's rep Karynne Tencer, getting the reply, "What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this ... Lord. I'm going back to bed."

A rep for Marc Anthony, recently separated from Jennifer Lopez and also Jada's "HawthoRNe" costar, "unequivocally" denied to People any rumors linking Anthony and Smith — yes, those are out there too —  adding, "Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true."

Tencer also denied the Anthony-Smith rumors to People.

Rumors are certainly nothing new around Smith Central, which of course is home to famous kids Willow and Jaden Smith, she with the much-whipped hair and he of "Karate Kid" and Friend of Bieber fame.

"I've heard all the things — their marriage is not real, he's gay, she's gay, they swing," Jada Pinkett Smith said on an Atlanta radio show in 2009.

"But at the end of the day, people have to believe what they have to believe. I'll tell you what, it's too hard to be in a pretend marriage. Life's too short for that one."

Jennifer Lopez opens up about Marc Anthony split -- and love

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez is speaking out about her pending divorce from Marc Anthony and, in typical J. Lo fashion, the cathartic chat shows her major marketing prowess. Oh, and a possible multimillion-dollar raise from the folks at "American Idol."

With a new magazine cover and possible return to the singing competition, Lopez is back in form as the empowered female who built herself into a global brand -- and she's not bitter, as she tells it.

"Sometimes it doesn’t work -- and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love," Lopez told Vanity Fair about her surprising split with Anthony.

"It's still my biggest dream. I am positive -- determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person," she said. "I now look forward to new challenges, Lopez said. I feel strong."

Jennifer Lopez on Vanity FairHer bank account seems rock solid too: Lopez will is rumored to be returning for a second season judging "American Idol," to the tune of $20 million. The singer and actress has yet to sign on the dotted line, according to the Wrap, due to scheduling around film work. Fox did not respond to a request for comment.

Lopez was married twice before tying the knot with Anthony, and famously engaged to actor Ben Affleck before breaking that off. While she doesn't name names, one insight points to trouble in paradise with her Latin-crooner soon-to-be ex.

"Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves," she said.

"To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself ... I love myself enough to walk away from that now," she said.

Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg call it quits

Nicky_2 Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg have decided to end their longtime relationship.

A seemingly permanent fixture in Young Hollywood coupledom, the pair have been inseparable over years of professional and family happenings -- a stark contrast to the many loves of Nicky's sister Paris.

"There was no drama," a source told E!, "they started dating when they were very young. Travel and work schedules left them little time to spend together."

David is the son of DreamWorks Animation honcho Jeffrey Katzenberg, and serves as a producer for the MTV scripted series "The Hard Times of RJ Berger."

Hilton is a mini-mogul in her own right, with successful handbag and accessory collections abroad. The 27-year-old heiress has also served as spokeswoman for several international brands.

Alexander Skarsgard, Kate Bosworth call it quits

Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth have broken up.

Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth have reportedly ended their relationship.

The blond duo were going strong for roughly two years, though neither party has ever commented on their romantic status.

"It was very mutual and it happened a while ago," a source told Us of the split.

Skarsgard and Bosworth sparked in August 2009 on the set of their flick "Straw Dogs," which will see a wide release this September (not the first time this year a break-up has been followed by a promotional campaign).

The quiet courtship saw sushi dates and the occasional music festival -- Skarsgard even dined with Bosworth's parents in March to celebrate her Nylon magazine cover.

The "True Blood" hunk recently attended Comic-Con 2011, where he allegedly flirted with a brunette, Us said. "He's single," added a second source, "and he is loving the attention!"

Kat Von D and Jesse James: TV drama, a tattoo and an accusation

Kat Von D stormed out of "Good Day LA"

Note to Kat Von D: If you don't want to discuss your breakup publicly, don't break up with your gossip-magnet fiance Jesse James right before launching into publicity for a TV show that features your relationship with him.

The "L.A. Ink" star walked off the set of "Good Day L.A." on Wednesday after being introduced with footage showing her surprising James with her new tattoo: his face, taken from what he guessed was his fifth-grade picture.

Didn't we mention something Tuesday about hoping there weren't any tattoos involved in the relationship? Alas, no such luck.

"Dear GoodDayLA, thanks for the waste of a perfectly good morning," Von D said later on Twitter. "Lack of compassion n respect for eachother never fails to dissapoint me."

The clip, however, had been provided by "L.A. Ink" network TLC, and according to Show Tracker the tattoo artist had asked in advance of her scheduled interview only that they not discuss Sandra Bullock, James' ex-wife -- though anchor and weather reporter Jillian Barberie said that just before the segment was to air, Von D said also didn't want to discuss her breakup with James.

When footage featuring her ex-fiance rolled, Von D rolled right out of the studio, leaving the "Good Day L.A." gang confused about what had just happened. Watch the walk-off drama in full, including the ensuing discussion, below.

Poor Kat. At least reality TV veteran Paris Hilton had enough control over her situation to fashion news of her split with Cy Waits into a spotlight on "The World According to Paris" -- right before the episode in which she and Waits had an epic fight.

Still, perhaps Von D wasn't entirely in control of the timing of the breakup? Though James on Tuesday blamed the breakup on the distance between them and said he still loved Von D -- sound familiar, Sandra? -- Radar Online reported Wednesday that the couple had been overheard Monday outside her house having an argument that ended with him cussing her out and zooming away on his motorcycle.

"Kat kept throwing some woman's name out and arguing about how she didn't like him living so far away," an eyewitness told Radar.

"It was clear from the tone of the conversation that Kat was accusing Jesse of something with this other woman," the eyewitness said.

Shocking.

Jesse James, Kat Von D call off engagement, end relationship

Kat Von D and Jesse James

Jesse James and Kat Von D have broken off their engagement and broken up in general, just in time for the Thursday premiere of her reality show, "L.A. Ink" -- which coincidentally features bits of the couple's long-distance relationship, including James saying things like, "If I win tomorrow, we're getting married on Sunday."

Or maybe not so much.

"I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that," 29-year-old Kat Von D said late Monday on Twitter.

"I'm so sad because I really love her," James, 42, exclusively told People, the magazine that often related his side of the story during the explosion of his marriage to Sandra Bullock. "The distance between us was just too much."

James, who'd lived in Sunset Beach while married to Bullock and running West Coast Choppers in Long Beach, moved to Texas last year in part so his kids could be closer to his ex, who owns homes in Austin and New Orleans.

With Jesse's third divorce final in June 2010, he and Kat started dating in August, got engaged in January and were headed for a summer wedding.

James told People that 2010 really wasn't so bad, because "I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs."

One can only hope neither got a tattoo along the lines of, "Kat + Jesse 4Ever."

Kristin Cavallari, Jay Cutler end their engagement

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler break up

Kristin Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler have called off their engagement, multiple sources said Sunday and Monday.

OK, one source told it more specifically: "She got dumped," People heard. "She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."

Meanwhile, in Cutler's circles, folks couldn't believe the end of the NFL lockout was happening. But that's another story.

The breakup news first came via Access Hollywood, which also reported the dumpage angle. The 24-year-old TV personality known for "The Hills" and "Laguna Beach" was celebrating her engagement a week ago with a party, shortly after the couple's gift registries went public.

Then Saturday night, People said, Cavallari was seen out at a club in L.A. sans ring, telling the likes of Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio that it was all over with the 28-year-old jock.

Cavallari and Cutler had been dating since last fall, and got engaged in April.

Arnold Schwarzenegger may soften response to Maria Shriver [Poll]

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Did he mean to be a dummy over spousal support for Maria Shriver?

So maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't mean to fight Maria Shriver over spousal support?

Schwarzenegger's response to Shriver's divorce filing took some folks aback Friday when it was revealed that he'd asked the court to make her pay her own legal costs and forget about awarding her support -- even though he was the one who hadn't kept it zipped during their marriage.

However, the former governor may attempt to mend that fence with a revised divorce response filing on Monday, according to TMZ.

Schwarzenegger signed the documents but didn't read them carefully, according to sources who suggested Dad was just as distracted as Mom was by a medical crisis involving their youngest son, Christopher Schwarzenegger. Also, they said, Arnold relied on his lawyer.

Christopher, 13, was hospitalized after a boogie-boarding accident Sunday in Malibu left him with broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

In her 911 call, Shriver said her son couldn't move off the beach. "He's awake and breathing," she said. "It's just he can't move and he's having trouble breathing."

Maria Shriver support request challenged by Arnold Schwarzenegger

Maria Shriver

It was Maria Shriver who filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger going into 4th of July weekend, and now he has responded -- indicating in a form response filed this week that he'd rather not pay spousal support or shoulder 100% of the divorce-related attorney and legal fees.

Wait, wasn't he the one who admitted fathering a child out of wedlock with a longtime member of their household staff? True, but the move -- somewhat unusual, according to divorce attorneys who spoke to the Los Angeles Times -- might hint at the magnitude of the community-property split.

"His position is probably that she's going to have enough money that she won't need the support," Santa Monica divorce attorney Lynn Soodik said. "Either that, or he's being really aggressive."

The Terminator? Nevah!

Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony: A rocky road to their split?

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony may have been looking cozy, but talk is bubbling up that the two were arguing "nonstop" during the months leading up to the end of their marriage.

Lopez and Anthony, who announced Friday that they would divorce, reportedly clashed over personal and professional issues -- that according to a bevy of unnamed sources piping up in the wake of the breakup.

The "Hawthorne" actor allegedly tried to call the shots over Lopez's wardrobe choices for an Us Weekly photo shoot last year, the mag said, shooting down one of her choices as "too sexy and unbecoming for a 40-year-old mother of two." One Us source called him a "dominating husband."

There are those who tell a happier story. One "American Idol" source told E! News that Lopez was devoted to her husband, treating his professional opinions as if they were coming from a manager, and that the two were never seen fighting. But a source close to the couple saw it differently, telling E!, "He was all over her all the time -- about everything -- and I know she tried very hard, and for a long time, to act like it didn't bother her, but I know it did. A lot."

About the couple's 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme: In the short term they will be hanging with mom for a bit in Atlanta while she's filming "What to Expect When You're Expecting," Life & Style said.

After the couple announced their split, there were reports linking Lopez romantically to William Levy, the hunk in her "I'm Into You" music video. Levy's rep, however, told TMZ that the "only relationship there was or is, is a professional relationship. That's all there's ever been."

Moving on to the Ben Affleck angle, which has nothing to do with infidelity and perhaps little to do with anything: J. Lo's mom allegedly sought advice on Jen's behalf last week from Affleck, whom Lopez dumped in 2004 after an 18-month engagement. Via e-mail, he "wished her well and offered what he could," an Us source said. Mmm-kay.

On the other hand, for years there has been speculation about Lopez worrying Anthony was unfaithful -- but a People connection said he had been faithful and supportive, and that the rest is just talk.

"They started to see life differently," the source said.
