Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Divorce means even more rumors

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher in 2010

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are a couple no more, two months after Ashton's sixth-anniversary gift to Demi of a scandal around his alleged infidelity with a San Diego party receptionist while she was off working in New York City. Her belated gift to him was, of course, her decision Thursday to get a divorce.

After his-and-hers statements Thursday, speculation -- some of it humorous -- has filled the information vacuum. Prepare yourself for some gossipy gossip, which we hope you'll keep in the proper perspective.

Who gets Bruce Willis? What will @mrskutcher's new Twitter handle be? Will this drama, like the life of Charlie Sheen, be incorporated into Ashton's "Two and a Half Men" character's story line? (Whoops, too late on that last one, as Kutcher's Walden Schmidt has already been suffering the pain of a divorce from a wife who told him he was emotionally immature.)

Then there's the open-marriage buzz. "Everyone in Hollywood knows about their arrangement," an unnamed "insider" told the Star tabloid, "but they've managed to keep it a secret from the general public."

Chelsea Handler, who said she doesn't know them "personally very well," opined to a shocked, simply shocked Piers Morgan on his CNN show that "I think they probably had a lot of good times with some other women... Clearly they had a lot of threesomes, that led to twosomes without Demi and that leads to a divorce." After watching tape of the couple on a previous "Piers Morgan Tonight," she added, "I absolutely feel for her."

One such twosome was allegedly with Sara Leal, who went public with her claim that they'd had unprotected sex twice, that Ashton was not "weird or perverted," and that they'd talked about astrological signs and politics afterward.

Leal said he'd told her he was "separated," and she believed him.

And still bubbling in the background -- as opposed to bubbling in the hot tub allegedly shared pre-coitally by Kutcher, Leal and another young lady, all of them naked --  is a slightly lower-profile scandal from 2010, involving a woman named Brittney Jones who claimed she and Ashton had done the nasty while Demi was out of town.

"Ashton told me that both he and Demi had an 'open relationship' and that he was not in fact cheating,"  Jones told TMZ on Friday, adding that even though divorce is a bummer, she felt somewhat vindicated.

Jones' veracity became suspect when she released a sex tape late last year, using Kutcher's name to market it (though not claiming he was in it). He threatened to sue her, and then Ashton and Demi launched a charm offensive on Twitter and elsewhere, declaring their marriage to be rock solid.

After the Leal revelation, the couple pretty much kept their mouths shut, up until Thursday. Except for his pro-Joe Paterno tweet. Oops.

Now, with all that muck having been raked, it seems divorce might actually bring a bit of good news for Demi, who some have worried looks scary thin these days. Turns out women and men alike tend to gain weight "in a period of marital change," according to our friends at Booster Shots.

So bring on the comfort food, soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Kutcher. It's what happens next.

Kat Von D says Jesse James cheated with 19 women in a year [Poll]

Kat Von D

Kat Von D is no longer giving ex-fiance Jesse James the benefit of the doubt, instead alleging that he cheated on her with at least 19 women while they were together.

Nothing like almost running out of fingers and toes keeping track of what a great guy someone isn't.

"Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year ... ," the "L.A. Ink" star wrote Sunday on Facebook.

"There was a time when I was confident and excited at proving the world wrong, because I believed so deeply in people's ability to change for the better. ... I did feel like it would be a positive thing for those who judged Jesse solely based on what they read in tabloids, to see that change is always possible."

The tattoo artist, 29, said she still believes that, by the way, but that she deserved "a big fat  'I told you so,' from everyone,' and wished she "didn't have to say, 'You all were more right than you'll ever know,' but you were."

Kat and Jesse went public as a couple in September 2010 after his marriage to Sandra Bullock unraveled in grand style over revelations of his infidelity. (It wasn't with her, Von D reminds folks, and indeed, the James-Bullock ninja divorce was final in June 2010.) Kat and Jesse got engaged in January, then broke up on and off until their final split in September. Her reality show "L.A. Ink" recently went off the air after four seasons.

Last May, James blamed an abusive childhood for his inability to keep it in his pants when he was with Bullock. "I was a terrorized kid," he said about the abuse he received from his father. "I was petrified of my dad.… It wasn't so much getting the ... beat out of me or getting my arm broken or getting kicked or whatever or punched, it was the in-between time. It was the fear of that happening again."

For those keeping track, James' other-woman tally hit three and maybe four when he was wasting Sandra Bullock's time. Talk about being afraid of bad things happening again.

In this situation, the Ministry doesn't have the heart to be unkind. And Kat says she still believes in love.

Your thoughts?

Kim Kardashian safe and sound, keeps ‘Marriage Counselor’ job

KimkardashianStory
Kim Kardashian is safe and sound. It turns out the reports of kidnap and death threats on the set of Tyler Perry's “The Marriage Counselor” were all a bunch of rumors.

In reality, fans were upset with Perry for casting the reality TV star in his latest film, and had no problem expressing their anger and frustration on his website.

One commenter, H.R. Hudson wrote, “I urge you to not cast Kim in your movie, 'The Marriage Counselor.' Kim Kardashian has no respect for the sacred institution of marriage. And treats it as if it's a joke.”

But the hubbub over the casting news never went anywhere and Kardashian’s reps confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that there was “no truth” to the gossip.

Fueling the drama was a report by MediaTakeOut.com suggesting that Kim had “extra heavy" security on set and a joke Holly Robinson Peete made on Access Hollywood Live.

“We can always count on Tyler Perry to give a ‘blacktress’ a job,” Peete said on the show. “So, all across the world ‘blacktresses’ are upset.”

Despite the criticism and rumors, Kim, who is set to play marriage counselor Judith’s best friend Ava, isn’t going anywhere. Perry confirmed to TMZ, "She is scheduled to work as planned."

Kim could certainly use the distraction. Just this week her ex-publicist told the New York Post that her whole wedding was staged, while her ex, Kris Humphries, decided to lawyer up.

Kim Kardashian wastes no time, will divorce Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian files for divorce from Kris Humphries

This post has been corrected, as detailed below. Kim Kardashian divorce is true.

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on Monday morning, citing "irreconcilable differences" after only 72 days of what appears to be a waste of a perfectly good wedding.

Maybe they should have gone on a better honeymoon?

Kardashian was spotted out in New York on Saturday night, Halloween partying at Lavo as the sexy yet villainous Poison Ivy character of Batman-comics fame -- notably sans Humphries. The elegantly brief divorce papers (obtained by TMZ) were filed Monday morning in Los Angeles, listing high-profile divorce lawyer Laura Wasser as Kimmy's attorney. Yes, Virginia, there was a prenup.

Photos: Celebrity marriages that didn't last for long

Kardashian's rep did not immediately respond to a Ministry request Monday for confirmation and comment.

With unnamed sources saying last week that Humphries was "not drinking the Kardashian Kool-Aid," Rob Kardashian took it upon himself to defend his sister's happiness (though not necessarily the strength of her marriage). The dealbreaker, according to TMZ, may have been geographic incompatibility. She wanted to stay "in town" for her career, he was looking forward to settling down in his home state of Minnesota. Funny how most folks work that out before the $10-million wedding?

Humphries and Kardashian briefly honeymooned for paparazzi on Italy's Amalfi Coast, then moved into a three-bedroom suite with sis Kourtney, her boyfriend Scott Disick and their 22-month-old son to film the second season of "Kim &  Kourtney Take New York."

"We have to find our home base," Kardashian told People at her 31st birthday celebration in Las Vegas, just a week ago Saturday.

So, yeah, take that off the to-do list -- along with the kissing and hand-holding and hanging with the in-laws that she and Humphries were doing in the VIP area at the Cosmopolitan nightclub that night.

Here at the Ministry, we like to think it's all part of a carefully designed career arc in which Kim sets herself up as the next Zsa Zsa Gabor, who is essentially famous for being famous, and has been married nine times, with seven divorces and one annulment, winding up with Prince Frederick von Anhalt, for better or worse.

After divorcing music producer Damon Thomas after four years and prepping to split from Humphries, she's off to a rolling start. Zsa Zsa never had a Twitter trend like this one: "#ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage."

For those keeping score, the two started dating last December and were engaged by May. They married on Aug. 20 in Montecito. With California's 60-day minimum to get a simple divorce finalized, this could theoretically be wrapped up in time for the newlyweds to have completely new dates for New Year's Eve.

[For the record, 12:39 p.m. Oct. 31: This post originally had Kim and Kris married for 42 days, not 72. Blame our fat fingers?]

Crystal Harris to auction off engagement ring from Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner with the bullet he dodged, aka Crystal Harris

Crystal Harris, Hugh Hefner's 25-year-old runaway bride, is putting her 3.39-carat engagement ring up for auction next month.

That would be the engagement ring that Harris tried to give back to Hefner in June after she practically left him at the altar -- a trinket he would not accept, though the 85-year-old was cool with her returning their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charlie.

Also the same ring Harris took into a La Jolla pawn shop for an appraisal about a week after their wedding was to have taken place, TMZ said.

And, yes, the exact ring that was touted as a $90,000 sparkler when Hef slipped it on Harris' finger last December, now being advertised as "A Diamond Ring" that Christie's expects to unload in October for $20,000 to $30,000.

As anyone who's tried to get their money out of an orphaned engagement diamond knows, that brutal discount sounds juuuuuuuuust about right.

So, yeah, kids: If the piece-of-history, 33.19-carat Elizabeth Taylor diamond is a bit out of reach in the $2.5 million to $3.5 million range, or that auction's December date is simply too long of a wait, Crystal's runaway rock may have your name on it.

It's sort of a piece of history too, right?

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Is it a split in the Twitterverse?

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Are they breaking up?

For years, Demi Moore has been desperate for the world to know how happily married she is, constantly tweeting an equal measure of cutesy honey-I'm-home posts and Hallmark-card platitudes. ("Work on loving yourself. Happiness is an inside job between you and your higher power, whatever that is for you!")

If you haven't heard by now that Moore is married to Ashton Kutcher (and that she still looks great in a bikini), you live on the International Space Station.

But here's the thing about parading your personal life in public: The public pays attention. And then, when things go wrong, or appear to go wrong, or even just slightly deviate in any way from the usual unicorn rainbow cloud of happy, the whole world knows at once.

In fact, Wednesday, we know this: All is not fabulous in the world of @aplusk. Or at least its not 100% lovetastic. For the TMI tweets have dwindled, the two reportedly have been spending time apart and a woman has emerged claiming she has had an affair with Kutcher. The woman is Sara Leal, and she says she slept with Kutcher something like 72 hours ago. Twitter age, you understand. We find out everything faster.

According to Radar, if Kutcher did indeed have an affair with this woman, it wouldn't be his first. Some reports indicate that Kutcher slept with another woman (named Brittney, of course), last year. Another fun fact: Leal is reportedly meeting with attorneys, presumably to see whether she needs to cash in, er, explore her legal rights.

Star magazine also seems to think that the A has sundered from the K; in an issue hitting stands this week, Star reports that the couple has been living apart and will split a $290-million fortune.

And what of Moore’s Twitter feed? Well, it's been largely dead for 24 hours, which is an eon in Mrs. Kutcherland; this is the same Moore who will point out the exact location of her teenage daughter’s breasts if it means garnering a little more attention.

Does this all add up to a real split?

I know where I’ll be watching for confirmation.

Tareq Salahi to divorce Michaele; he's reportedly banned backstage at Journey

SalahiStory
Tareq Salahi has filed for divorce from wife Michaele. Not exactly shocking news after the media blitz the couple caused last week.

The scandal started on Tuesday when Tareq reported his wife missing and tweeted his fears that she had been kidnapped. Soon it all became clear. Michaele was safe, but she had run off with someone else -- Journey guitarist Neal Schon no less.

"She continually exposes our friends and acquaintances to her adulterous relationship and has flaunted the same throughout the community, the nation and indeed the world, and thus caused ... me to suffer great harm, humiliation and embarrassment," Tareq stated in court documents filed Friday in Warren County, Va.

The pair isn’t playing nice either. TMZ reports that Tareq is no longer allowed backstage at Journey concerts, despite having an all access pass! And he’s blaming Michaele’s departure for putting their Doberman Pinscher in a major funk.

The Salahis, married for eight years, started their 15 minutes by allegedly crashing a state dinner at the White House.  They quickly landed spots on “The Real Housewives of D.C.,” but the show was short-lived. Now in bankruptcy, the pair is scheduled to auction off the goods from their Virginia winery, Oasis Vineyards, on Sunday.

Mel Gibson settlement: Oksana gets $750,000, not $15 million

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have settled their custody dispute.

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have reached a settlement in their custody case, with details released by the court Wednesday.

Long story short: She gets $750,000 and a house to live in until their daughter Lucia is 18. That's a far cry from the $15-million settlement she walked away from early last summer, claiming she'd agreed to it under duress.

Gibson spoke briefly in court, thanking the judge for bringing the case to a "reasonable conclusion," L.A. Now reported. The court had announced Friday that a deal was done.

Grigorieva's lawyers had sought $20 million from ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Gibson. In early May, shortly before the mediation that brought them to the $15-million offer, she sent him an email referencing her secret recordings of his angry, profane rants from Feb. 18, 2010.

The first of those tapes -- they were chopped into six parts for release -- was leaked to the public July 9 of last year. The sixth tape finally dropped 11 days later, by which time Gibson's attorney was presenting authorities with evidence of alleged extortion; he was already being investigated on suspicion of domestic violence. In the sixth tape, Grigorieva referenced their failed settlement agreement, which reportedly would have prevented her from seeking more money from him in the future.

Gibson pleaded no contest this March to a misdemeanor domestic abuse charge, though he has maintained his innocence. The charge resulted from a Jan. 6, 2010, dispute between the two in which she alleged he hit her and broke a veneer on her teeth. Gibson later admitted striking her but said he was trying to get her to stop shaking Lucia as the couple argued.

An extortion investigation resulted in no charges being filed against Grigorieva.

In addition to getting the cash, Grigorieva can live in the Sherman Oaks home Gibson bought for her and his daughter until Lucia turns 18, according to L.A. Now. At that time, the house will be sold and the money placed in a trust for Lucia. The $750,000 will be paid in three installments.

The former couple will have joint legal custody, and both Gibson and Grigorieva are barred from writing books about their relationship.

'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' will address Russell Armstrong's suicide

Russell Armstrong and Taylor Armstrong

The suicide of Russell Armstrong will be the subject of a Bravo special reportedly taped Monday with "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast members Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Adrenne Maloof and Kyle and Kim Richards sitting down to discuss the recent events.

Word of the Bravo special came Monday, a day before the 911 call made after Armstrong's body was found went public via TMZ and less than a week after the first of two funerals was held for the estranged husband of "Real Housewives" star Taylor Armstrong.

Taylor, 40, was not present at the taping, a show insider told Show Tracker, which also reported that the premiere episode has been reedited and is still on the books to air Sept. 5. The original version included footage of Taylor shopping for lingerie to spice up her troubled marriage to Russell, and getting emotional over marriage counseling.

Russell Armstrong's body was found Aug. 15; the 47-year-old had hanged himself in a bedroom at a friend's home where he'd been staying since he and Taylor separated. She filed for divorce in July.

Taylor Armstrong can be heard crying in the background during the 911 call, made by a friend who'd accompanied her and her daughter to check on Russell after he hadn't responded to calls or texts for three days.

With police on the way to the house on Mulholland Drive, the friend delivered details to the 911 operator, comforted Taylor and directed another person on the scene to get 5-year-old Kennedy away from the drama.

The first funeral sevice for Armstrong was held last Tuesday at Forest Lawn in Los Angeles, with Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, Dr. Paul Nassif, Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer among those in attendance. Still reportedly wearing her wedding ring, Taylor Armstrong delivered a eulogy, saying, "People didn't know the Russell I knew."

A second service will be held for the Dallas native early in September in Texas, according to People. His ashes will be divided between his estranged wife and his family in Texas, said attorney Ronald Richards. "They have a family cemetery there."

A guest list was strictly enforced and no photos were allowed at the private service, which ET said Bravo did not film.

Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter have 'amicable' breakup

Kelly-jeter
Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter have called it quits on their three-year relationship, which had been peppered with engagement and marriage rumors. Yep, it's a sad day in Pretty-ville.

"The split was amicable," Kelly's reps first told Just Jared about the breakup. "But they remain friends. They still really care for each other."

Perhaps that means there were no in-flight meltdowns in response to the romantic strikeout.

The New York Yankees shortstop, 37, and the star of the upcoming "Charlie's Angels" TV reboot, 31, had kept mum about their relationship, but Kelly was frequently spotted on his arm and was in the stadium for Jeter's 3,000th career hit in July. "The Roommate" actress also appeared in the HBO documentary "Derek Jeter 3K" last month, which chronicled the baseball star's career.

Jeter's little black book includes Mariah Carey, Miss Universe Lara Dutta, Scarlett Johansson, singer Joy Enriquez, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks and many, many others. Kelly has been romantically linked to Chris Evans, Donald Faison, and, of course, John Mayer.

Kelly is currently shooting her ABC show in Miami; it premieres Sept. 22. And here's a clip of Kelly and her costars kicking butt Drew Barrymore-style.
