Reports: Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger call it quits

Reneebradley For Bradley Cooper, love's hangover may be the most memorable. The actor and his girflriend of nearly two years, Renee Zellweger, have called it quits.

Multiple sources have confirmed the split, first reported by Us Weekly, and although none of those folks are giving reasons (or a standard "it was amicable" quote), it seems to be real.

The two met on the set of their supernatural thriller "Case 39," gradually getting more serious in the months following.  Notoriously silent about their status, they were said to be living together as early as last year, as well as spending time with one another's families.

Reps for both stars could not be reached.

Cooper currently stars in "Limitless, with "The Hangover 2" on the horizon. Zellweger is attached to produce a project called "Pillage."

Mike Tyson says he did 'The Hangover' for drug money

Mike Tyson and his daughter in Las Vegas Mike Tyson was pitching himself to Jeremy Piven's Ari Gold as a costar for Jessica Simpson in a fictional "Brady Bunch" remake  on Sunday's episode of "Entourage" -- but when he showed up at ESPN Las Vegas' "Gridlock" radio show Thursday, he told a tale that might scandalize the likes of Mrs. Brady and her crew, according to SportsRadioInterviews.com.

Asked about doing "The Hangover," which starred Bradley Cooper, he revealed: "I was doing that to supply my drug habit. … I said, 'Wow, This is going to be really good. We’re going to sell this stuff on 42nd Street on bootleg and make a lot of money.' This is my best thinking on drugs. … It wasn’t that way. It was an international success."

Indeed, among other things, the film's success landed Tyson a seat near Paul McCartney for this year's Golden Globe Awards in January.

The former heavyweight champion has gone vegan and lost 130 pounds since ...

After smooching ScarJo and setting a few things straight, Sandra Bullock would like to go back to normal now

Talk about a stage full of kissable people. How could Sandra Bullock pick just one?

Mtv-scarjo-web Bullock, accepting the Generation Award on Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards, took time to set a few things straight, to sort of apologize to Bradley Cooper for "All About Steve," to covet the life of Betty White and to plant a big wet one on Scarlett Johansson.

We're not sure which we enjoyed most. (OK, that's a total and complete lie; it was the ScarJo part, who are we kidding -- but you can see it all in the video above. Betty's particularly adorable as well.)

Things Bullock set straight, along with the facts that she loves what she does, and she's not going anywhere:

  • She's not dead.
  • She's not the only person who has cellulite.
  • "Whoever established the high road and how high it was gonna to be should be fired."
  • And she's "never gone 14 days without showering while chain-smoking while crying on the shoulder of my sweet Aunt Luddy. Because I shower twice a day, I don't smoke, and sweet Aunt Luddy died a year ago, though I know she's really happy just to have been mentioned."

"Now that we've done that," she said, before asking that we also think tonight of those affected by the oil spill in the gulf, "can we please go back to normal?"

Sure thing, Sandy. Though no promises on the showering thing -- 'cause you did say "normal."

'The A-Team' rolls out the heavy equipment -- think Cooper, Biel, Neeson -- for its Hollywood premiere

Tank-boys-web

Few things say "summer fun" like a tank cruising down Hollywood Boulevard. And hey, if that tank happens to have Sharlto Copley and Bradley Cooper on top as well -- what's not to love?

The actors were among those on duty for Thursday's world premiere of "The A-Team," a remake of the 1980s TV series beloved by boys and girls who are now men and women and, you know, running the world.

Ateam gallery refer Other cast members on the red carpet outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Thursday included Jessica Biel, Liam Neeson and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, who faces the challenge of erasing Mr. T from the minds of the middle-aged. (Click on the picture of Jackson at right for a gallery of arrivals.)

Another red-carpet denizen, director Joe Carnahan, explained to Hero Complex recently that " 'The A-Team' has an established fan base. Those people who were watching in 1983 now have children and grandchildren." In case anyone didn't believe him at the time, all they needed to do was hit the premiere party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where among those sipping 901 Silver Tequila cocktails, age and cleverness apparently triumphed over youth and innocence once again.

As a reportedly captivated crowd looked on, it wasn't the kiddies sidling up to costars Neeson and Cooper -- rather, a couple of grandmothers were the ladies getting pictures taken with the guys.

The film opens in theaters June 11. Your call on whether you take the Prius or a tank.

'Valentine's Day' premiere: Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Taylor Lautner and more!

Jessica Biel Jennifer Garner

Whether or not you observe Cupid's annual coming-out party, there's no denying the star power at last night's celebration of Garry Marshall's new movie "Valentine's Day."

The huge ensemble cast for the love-centered flick attended the Hollywood premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theater, followed by an intimate bash afterward.

Jessica Biel rocked a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta number with flowing petals of pink fabric, though  Justin Timberlake was nowhere to be seen. (Hmm -- she made it back in time after seeing Justin honored as Harvard's Hasty Pudding man of the year last Friday.)

Still, the actress wasn't short on conversation -- she had three girlfriends in tow, and chatted up costar Jennifer Garner.

Also sans her significant other, Mrs. Ben Affleck made the rounds, then headed back home to her daughters, Violet and Serpahina Rose, taking them specialty Crumbs cupcakes to-go.

Not to be outdone by their female counterparts ...

The Ministry presents: Underappreciated articles of 2009

Cooper It's hard to tell which stories will catch the public's eye -- or its heart, or mind, or burning-with-rage-and-ready-to-spew-venom gut -- and in the course of doing business, a few of our favorite posts seem to have gotten lost along the way.

These have earned a soft spot with us for many reasons: We had them exclusively, they were funny, there was an interesting story behind them, or they were simply articles we thought you, dear readers, would appreciate.

Alas, as if they were tiny baby kittens trapped in a storm drain, mewling too quietly to be heard, the Web world passed them by.

So here, in no particular order, are 10 posts (OK, technically, 11) that we at the Ministry consider some rather underappreciated items from 2009:

Secret to Bradley Cooper's 'Hangover' success? That hair: With "The Hangover," Bradley Cooper cut his leading man teeth. He'll be chomping through 2010 with his buzzed-about update to "The A-Team." "Hangover" director Todd Phillips told us he was the one who thrust Cooper into top billing with one simple command: Grow out that hair. Take note, because I suspect those long locks will be waving atop the A-list in the coming months. -- Matt Donnelly

Chelsea Handler, Jay Leno and Playboy, a magazine with naked people in it: This post is silly. The concept of the post is silly. I felt silly writing it. If you don't get it, you don't get where I'm coming from. Face it, this ain't rocket science. -- Christie D'Zurilla

Secret to Bradley Cooper's 'Hangover' success? That hair

Bardleycooper Though Bradley Cooper has been successful as a working actor for years, his breakout hit "The Hangover" upped his status to leading man almost overnight.

"The Hangover" director Todd Phillips spoke with me about heartthrob Cooper's step up in the acting ranks, which he says is largely due to the man's mane.

"I said to him" in the early stages of filming the comedy, " 'We're going to turn you into a leading man, but first we have to grow your hair,' " Phillips said.

Cooper had kept it cropped in recent films such as "He's Just Not That Into You" and Jim Carrey's "Yes Man," but Phillips insisted on longer tresses.

"Something about the long hair, it registers more pain," the director said.

Oh, yeah: "It's also his extraordinary acting ability."

"The Hangover" grossed more than $275 million domestically, so naturally the director and his team are gearing up for a sequel. Don't necessarily expect a return to Las Vegas, however.

'Hangover' Heather Graham: I want to be a pregnant stripper!

Heather Take note, filmmakers for "The Hangover 2" -- Heather Graham's got some ideas, mainly involving pole work with a baby bump.

I chatted with Graham as she prepped for Thursday's big Las Vegas bash celebrating the Dec. 15 DVD release of "The Hangover," which she stars in with Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis.

In the blockbuster comedy, Graham plays Jade, a stripper and mom to a newborn who hooks up with the reserved Stu, played by Ed Helms

For the sequel, she thinks Jade should should conceive another little one with her new love -- but maintain her exciting profession.

"I'd like to see her stay a stripper. I think she should get pregnant with Stu's baby and do a pregnant striptease!" Graham said. "Just something totally wrong."

That's pretty up there in the "wrong" department.

The sequel to director Todd Phillips' hit has yet to be written, but in the meantime, Graham got to de-glam for the upcoming flick "Father of Invention."

The actress plays "an angry butch lesbian," she said, alongside Kevin Spacey. Her costume required nothing near the push-up bras and layered gloss of "The Hangover."

"I had no makeup, they didn't do anything to my hair, I wore a baggy white T-shirt, no high heels. I was like, 'This is great.' Everyone else was in makeup for hours."
