Amy Winehouse cancels entire European tour [Video]

Amy Winehouse

After a disastrous start, Amy Winehouse has canceled her 12-city European comeback tour.

Released from rehab weeks before the tour's kickoff, Winehouse was booed off stage during an appearance in Serbia on Saturday for flubbing lyrics, yelling at her band and leaving long gaps of silence during numbers.

The resulting scandal forced her management to cancel dates in Istanbul and Athens — and now the whole dang show is off the table.

"Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen," spokesman Chris Goodman said in a statement that called off the remainder of the tour.

While reps didn't comment on drugs or alcohol possibly affecting the Serbian gig and its aftermath, CNN noted, they said Winehouse agrees she's not up to snuff.

"Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home," said Tracey Miller, another Winehouse rep.

Amy Winehouse checks out of rehab after a week

Amy Winehouse is out of rehab after a week Amy Winehouse once sang "I ain't got 70 days," when it was suggested she head off to rehab. She shouldn't have worried -- her most recent stint lasted only her seven days.

Winehouse checked into the Priory Clinic in London last Wednesday, where the singer's spokesperson Chris Goodman said she was headed to seek "assessment" before taking off on tour across the continent.

Seven days later and voila! Winehouse is out.

Winehouse is "raring to go" for the tour, according to Goodman, and will continue to seek outpatient treatment when necessary.

The singer was last in rehab in January 2008 for a two-week stint to treat various substance abuse issues, as Winehouse copped to using everything from crack cocaine to Ecstasy.

Amy Winehouse, 'Rehab' singer, enters rehab Amy Winehouse, the raspy "Rehab" singer," is checking back into rehab.

The British songstress checked into London's Priory Clinic on Wednesday on "doctors' advice," her spokesman Chris Goodman told the Associated Press.

Winehouse "wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment," Goodman said.

The beehive-sporting singer, who last entered rehab in January 2008, will kick off a European concert series June 18. Her father, Mitch Winehouse, seemed to be the inspiration behind  her re-enrollment, according to People.

"Her dad sat her down and said, 'I think you're drinking too much again.' So she agreed to ... an assessment to stop it becoming a bigger problem," a source told People

No word on what kind of treatment the 27-year-old would be seeking, but the facility offers treatment for various psychiatric problems and drug and alcohol addiction.

Before checking in at Priory, Winehouse reportedly stopped at a shop to buy a miniature bottle of Smirnoff vodka before downing the alcohol at the counter.

"She seemed out of it. She was stumbling about, slurring her words," an observer told The Sun. "I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day, and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back."

The heavily tattooed and kohl-eyed singer topped charts with her album album "Back to Black," which earned her five Grammy Awards and launched her into the international spotlight. However, her struggles with alcohol, drugs and legal issues have out-shined her along the way.

Her single "Back to Black" was performed on a recent episode of "Glee" by Naya Rivera. Listen to it here.

PARTY OF NO! 'Baby' passes 'Bad,' Melissa Gilbert's pain, Alexa Ray Joel's mistake, Spencer Pratt's lunacy

Spencer-pratt-old-man It's hot -- stinkin' hot. Make-you-cranky hot. I-have-no-idea-what-to-wear-that-won't-stick-to-me hot. So hot that even the earthquake gods have fled Southern California and set up shop in Washington, D.C.

With no relief expected until Sunday at the earliest, what better time for a Party of No? Grab yourself the cold beverage of your choice, maybe even a root beer float, and pull up a lawn chair right here on the Ministry's front porch. We're kickin' it for a while -- because sometimes it just feels good to just say "no" while staying in the know.

For example, Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" is no longer the most-watched music video on YouTube -- apparently it's too hard to say no to Justin Bieber's "Baby." Time

Melissa Gilbert made no excuses while on the road with "Little House on the Prairie," though she probably should have, because her back was broken. Contact Music

There's no way Alexa Ray Joel would've called 911 after taking too much of a homeopathic anti-inflammatory, she says, if she knew the call would be made public. OnTheRedCarpet.com

Clothes by Amy Winehouse? We're just sayin' ...

Amy and blake OK, Amy Winehouse definitely has Her Own Look. But is it a look that the rest of us could pull off? Or would even want to pull off? Or does it just look as if it's been pulled off already, from the moment it's put on?

No matter -- the singer now has a deal with British sportswear designer Fred Perry for a 17-piece clothing and accessories line to debut in stores in October, fashion news site Drapers reports.

With Lindsay Lohan out as an advisor at Ungaro, this may be exactly what the fashion world needs -- more pink and black.

After the jump, we present more pics of style a la Winehouse -- she's with Blake Fielder-Civil at right, at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards -- because pics of the line at Drapers.com are for subscribers only. (We're thinkin' we can wait till October for a peek.)

Across-the-pond updates: Susan Boyle, Amy Winehouse, Ricky Gervais and more

Brit pack

Aside from that mandatory annual screening of "Love Actually," and with the holiday almost within reach, let's really check in on our friends across the pond.

Susan Boyle, the Scottish sensation of "I Dreamed a Dream" fame, continues to dominate U.S. charts with her debut disc. For a fifth straight week it looks as if SuBo will fend off another round of new chart entries. This time her challenger is Mary J. Blige after Boyle won last week's chart smackdown over Alicia Keys

Speaking of smackdowns, fellow singer Amy Winehouse might take a note and keep her battles on the charts as well. The singer ...

Amy Winehouse's ex-husband says he's also going to be her next husband

Amy Blake Fielder-Civil has told a London paper that he and his ex-wife, Amy Winehouse, are engaged to be married.

The former music video assistant says the soul singer is the love of his life, and that they got divorced only because of pressure from parents.

Maybe it truly was a 36-hour secret love fest for them back in early December, when reports first had them getting back together.

"Don't believe everything you read," the singer's dad said on Twitter at the time. The two, whose divorce was final about four months ago, were just catching up, he said. Mitch Winehouse blames Blake for introducing Amy to drugs. Looks as if dad's taking a break from Twitter right now though -- we can't imagine why

Miley Cyrus, a poll and that pole -- a little perspective please?

Miley I'm not sure I can live in a world that considers Miley Cyrus evil incarnate. Just not sure.

But I guess it's time to get over that, because according to a new AOL poll, Miley Cyrus is indeed this year's worst celebrity influence in the world.

I'm just going to let that hang there for a minute, so y'all can process it.

Hannah Montana = Worst Celebrity Alive?

Only the fact that it was a nonscientific online poll, and the fact that nonscientific online polls are generally full of it, keeps me from immediately jumping off the tallest file cabinet in the newsroom.

For the record: Not every pole is a stripper pole.

That said -- let's set the record straight. With, of course, the following nonscientific online poll ...
