Adam Levine and model Anne V call it quits

Adam Levine and Anne V are over
Adam Levine can take those Jagger-like moves back into the dating pool: The "Voice" coach and Maroon 5 frontman has split from girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna.

Going by the easier-to-pronounce "Anne V," the blond Victoria's Secret model released a statement announcing the end of their over-two-year courtship.

"Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner. We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best," she told People.

The attractive pair went through a terrible fight after New Year's, reportedly breaking up but quietly coming back together soon after. During their courtship the couple were red carpet fixtures.

Levine even performed with his band at November's annual Victoria's Secret fashion show.

Adam is terribly eligible now that he's a single guy. He's got "The Voice," his upcoming TV acting debut on the second season of "American Horror Story" and his fondness of nudity.

Don't be fooled by Adam Levine's slinky tees and leather jackets -- though "The Voice" coach adheres to the rock-star dress code well, he'd much rather be naked.

Maroon 5 singer Levine believes his birthday suit is the one that fits him best, and is right at home appealing to men and women alike.

"I just love being as naked as possible all the time -- it feels really natural to me," he told Out magazine. "I'm extremely comfortable in my sexuality, so I can think, 'Oh, that's a good-looking dude. Acknowledging that someone's attractive and wanting to [sleep with] a dude are two different things."

Pansexual appeal makes for an effective frontman, said Levine, who grew up with a gay brother and has admitted being promiscuous himself. Some of rock's greatest lead singers have been the most ambiguous, he noted.

"If people didn't think there was a small chance I was gay, then I wouldn’t be doing my job very well," he said. "Look at the best ones, guys whose sexuality was always questioned. Bowie. Jagger. Freddie Mercury."

"I wouldn't be the frontman of a band if that question hadn't come up at some point.”

Christina Aguilera tapped as mentor on NBC's 'The Voice'

Christina Aguilera cast for "The Voice" The day after being arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, Christina Aguilera is already on the comback trail, taking up residence as a mentor on NBC's new show "The Voice."

Perhaps the Wednesday announcement was timed to detract from her legal woes?

The "Burlesque" star was happy to be joining Grammy winners Cee Lo Green, of "(Forget) You" and feathered fame, Maroon5's Adam Levine and another undetermined coach on the "American Idol"-style competition, according to Show Tracker.

"I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it," Aguilera said in a statement. "To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists' careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms."

The five-time Grammy winner and the other coaches will each mentor a team of singers by using their own personal songwriters, producers and friends to whip them into shape.

The teams will then be pitted against each other, and viewers will vote on the winners a la "American Idol."

Here's hoping X-tina doesn't pass on her lyric-flubbing liabilities to her mentees.

The show premieres April 26 and will be hosted by Carson Daly.

Exclusive: Maroon 5 is house band for 16th Critics' Choice Movie Awards

Maroon-5-critics-choice Heads up to Maroon 5 fans and film lovers — the Grammy-winning group will play house band at January's 16th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

"We're excited to be a part of the Critics' Choice Movie Awards this year. This is the perfect event for us to combine our music with the best of movies and VH1," lead singer Adam Levine told the Ministry.

On Jan. 14, Levine and company will gather at the Hollywood Palladium for the live telecast, honoring the most critically praised films of 2010. They replace last year's house band, Nick Jonas and the Administration.

"Black Swan," "True Grit," "Inception," "The King's Speech" and "The Kids Are All Right" are just a few of the films nominated, and various stars across those casts are expected to attend.

The band will play a mix of its own hits and movie standards on the show, which will air live at 9 p.m. on VH1.

Is the band is a good fit? What were your favorite films of 2010? Tell us in the comments section below.

Adam Levine, Seth MacFarlane help Brent Bolthouse celebrate his 40th birthday

Bolt While most of the world met Brent Bolthouse as Heidi Montag's boss in her pre-surgery and pre-Spencer days on "The Hills," the night-life denizen has been producing events and branded venues in Los Angeles since 1989.

Celeb pals and social types hit Hollywood on Thursday night to ring in his 40th birthday with cocktails and several impromptu musical performances.

The former Lingerie Club on Sunset Boulevard, with its stripped ceilings and warehouse chic, reopened for one night in honor of Brent -- also welcoming actor Dylan McDermott, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane and producer Brett Ratner.

Musical guests included Maroon 5's Adam Levine, who belted out the Guns N' Roses hit "Paradise City"; super producer Linda Perry; and Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd, who officiated with "Happy Birthday" while rocking a serious handlebar mustache.
