Tim Tebow will not be a bended-knee ‘Bachelor’

Looks like some ladies will have to pray for next time: Tim Tebow won’t be passing roses out on ‘The Bachelor’ any time soon.

Rumors circulated online this week saying the devout Denver Broncos quarterback would lead the reality competition show, in which a band of eager females battles for the love of an All-American doctor/lawyer/football player or something. Did we mention roses?

Turns out the whole thing started as an inside joke.

‘We have not approached Tim Tebow about being the next Bachelor. This started as a joke by Chris Harrison and then took on a life of its own,’ ‘The Bachelor’ network ABC said in a statement to ‘Extra.’

Harrison is the host of the series, most recently starring Ben Flajnik. And hey, Tebow should hold out for Hollywood anyway. He was the favorite at the year’s Vanity Fair Oscar party.
