Bobby Brown was arrested on suspicion of DUI just after noon Monday in the San Fernando Valley.

Officers pulled over Whitney Houston’s ex-husband in Reseda for talking on his cellphone, then administered a field sobriety test, a California Highway Patrol spokesman told L.A. Now.

Brown allegedly blew more than the 0.8 legal limit on a Breathalyzer test and was taken to the Van Nuys jail, TMZ reported. He has a DUI on his record from Georgia in 1996.

The singer, on tour with New Edition and who infamously made headlines in February when he left Houston’s funeral just as it began, was reportedly released on bail after about two hours. New Edition’s next show is scheduled for Thursday in St. Louis.

The arrest comes just days after coroner’s officials revealed a cause of death for Houston: accidental drowning, with cocaine use exacerbating a heart condition.
