Robin Thicke caught a little heat in New York City on Thursday, as the R&B crooner was busted on suspicion of smoking and possessing marijuana.

Thicke, son of sitcom actor Alan Thicke and husband of knockout Paula Patton, was riding shotgun in a Cadillac Escalade near Madison Square Park when police said they observed him puffing a joint.

Though his driver was not arrested, Thicke was, and he was reportedly cooperative — so much so that he signed a few autographs for police officers at the station, according to TMZ. Perhaps Thicke was still in high spirits from a performance the night before at the New York Public Library?

The singer was given a desk assignment ticket, which means he’ll be charged at a future arraignment.
