SAG Awards: Kate Flannery, 'Office' gang will 'carpe' the night

January 29, 2012 |  5:02 pm

Kate Flannery of "The Office" is a veteran of the Screen Actors Guild Awards -- so does she have a celebration routine down pat?

"It is always carpe diem, because these are lovely things that you never take for granted," she said Sunday on the red carpet outside the Shrine Auditorium.

As a matter of fact, she remembers working events like this one, tray in hand, waiting on folks like the late Paul Newman. "I worked the Governors Ball for the Oscars, I think, so I always say, 'By the way, I was you.'"

As for "The Office" ensemble party plans, there definitely are some, Flannery said with a big smile. "We do not go straight home, that's all I'm saying. We just go to every single party possible and just have a great time."
