Heather Locklear was hospitalized on Thursday afternoon after her sister reportedly called 911 for assistance -- but a hospital spokeswoman said Friday the ‘Melrose Place’ actress is ‘out of harm’s way ... she is in no danger.’

Paramedics called to Locklear’s Westlake Village home determined she needed hospitalization, TMZ reported, adding later that the actress had been awake and responsive when she arrived via ambulance at 2:30 p.m.

She was taken to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, where she was listed as ‘medically stable’ on Friday, according to People magazine. ‘She is in no danger and she’s going to be just fine,’ parents Bill and Diane Locklear said in a statement. ‘Heather’s family wants her fans to know that she is doing well,’ a hospital spokeswoman said.

TMZ on Thursday cited law enforcement sources as saying alcohol and prescription drugs were involved, but that report was unconfirmed. Locklear has had issues with alcohol and prescription medications in the past, including a 2008 arrest on suspicion of DUI that was pleaded down to reckless driving.
Locklear and beau Jack Wagner called off their engagement in November, saying they wanted more time to spend with their individual families.
