Halle Berry engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez

Halle Berry is reportedly engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez, whom she met while filming the movie ‘Dark Tide,’ a thriller slated for release this year.

The engagement took place over the holidays, a source told Us Weekly, which broke the news, and involved a diamond and emerald ring, according to a rep for jewelry designer Gurhan, speaking to People.

Berry, 45, and Martinez, 46, met during ‘Dark Tide’ production in mid-2010, shortly after Berry’s breakup with Gabriel Aubry, and went public as a couple in October of that year. Berry has a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, from her relationship with Aubry.

It will be a third marriage for Berry, who was previously wed to baseball player David Justice and then R&B singer Eric Benet. She’s been unmarried since the divorce from Benet was finalized in 2005, though she dated Aubry for five years. The two wrestled over custody of Nahla, with Aubry finally getting less time with his daughter than he sought.
